Chapter 2 - Marmara Clan Situation

Lami ran inside her house from her naughty husband who wanted to hug her in public.

She was a woman of average height, only 171 cm tall, with long black hair that reached her waist.

With bright eyes and a smiling face, she giggled as she ran into their room; a funny scene filled her mind due to the advances her husband was making.

She dropped her learning tools, ran into the bathroom, prepared herself and came out.

Expecting the man to be there waiting but he wasn't.

"Hmm!" She snorted and tapped the wall, and immediately, the image of the whole house appeared in her mind, as well as the people in it.

"This brat!" She cursed under her breath, and she sauntered in anger toward the stairs and climbed up.

Reaching a room that has an opening that ends with a cliff.

Her husband was at the door of the opening looking at a boy sitting on a stone bed. The boy's body was trembling from time to time as if crying.

Lami didn't notice that as she moved toward the boy, bypassing her husband and shouted, "Lawa. What sort of stupid boy are you? You dare ditch school again. Nothing…"

Her anger melted as the boy raised his head and looked at her, his eyes red, and his facial veins pulsing as if they were going to explode.

"Sis..." he forced out, his voice coarse before he jumped at her in a hug. "I miss…" he wasn't able to continue.

"Sada, quick, check him. His body is extremely hot!" Lami shouted in fear before she ran and placed the boy on a soft bed.

"We need…run..run!" Lawa began to mutter in a confused and terrifying manner.

"Move away from him," Sada said calmly. He then kneels before Lawa and whispers, "Endure the pain by pushing Rena toward your head!"

The voice has certain ringings that stimulate Lawa's cultivation control, and immediately, the pumping of blood takes more Rena to the brain, which reduces the pain and allows the boy to fall asleep immediately, but one filled with nightmares.

"Do you know why he is like this?" Lami asked. Her panic increased.

There were two things she loved the most in her life. Number one was Lawa and two of her children.

She loved her husband dearly, but she can't compare that with this young brother of hers.

"He will be alright. It's called memory overload." Sada said.

"I know what memory overload looked like, but it looked like he was in pain and he was asking us to run away!"

Lami snapped, grasping that Sada was hiding something from her.

He looked at her and said calmly, "Relax!" His power made her calm down before he said, "It's a Special Memory Overload." He smiled before he said, "If I'm not mistaken, we may become a special family."

She was more than confused now, but under the influence of Brass Tone, he made her go and prepare some food that would help Lawa recover fast.

The moment she left the room, Sada sat watching Lawa, "I hope you are another prophet. But… with your attitude, that may be a problem for you!"

***

The next day, at the exact time Lawa was able to sleep, he woke up. Thankfully, he was not in fright; his eyes had reverted to normal, and he was no longer in pain.

"Welcome back, brother!" Sada said.

Lami has left to deliver compulsory assignments and hasn't come back yet.

"Brother Sada. Greetings!" Lawa said, his smile as soft as it used to be.

"I'm glad you're fine." Sada said before he leaned forward and asked, "Is there anything you want to tell me?"

Lawa looked toward the opening and the cliff, there was no invasion. He sighed and smiled, "I have a weird dream. But can you make me forget it!"

"I heard Brass Tone Ability can do that right?" Lawa pleaded.

Sada nodded, "It's a trick to the mind and I master it. Though, only with True Master approvals can I go that far?"

Lawa then said, "Let go to your master then. I can convince him to allow you!"

Sada nodded before he became serious and said, "Explosion, breach, massacres. Ancestor appear and save us!"

Lawa sprang up and shouted, "How did you know that? Did you force me to tell you all that?"

"No. You are not the only one that has that dream." Sada said with all seriousness.

"So, that's what you are hiding from me. A dream that many others just like my brother had. What is it to hide about it" Lami appeared from the wall.

She never left, she hid. She lied that she had to submit an assignment to make her husband relax.

Sada chuckled and shook his head in amusement.

He raised his hand and slammed the ground, the opening cliff was immediately closed by the shifting rock of the house.

A pulse of Bronze Colour Paint coated the inner room.

"I didn't actively tell you because I don't want to be punished!" Sada said before he leaned back and began to tell them.

There were other kids, ranging from 14 to 21 years old that had similar dreams in the fast seven days.

At first, it was brushed as mere nightmares, or the work of some strange Maha Beast, or chemical work that the victims were exposed to but one of them was able to accurately predict certain events that came to happen in four days.

And when more kids appear, their narratives correspond and strengthen each other.

"Yesterday, I ran to fetch you from the Mines because one of the narrations was that it will be targeted first, and you all will die."

Lawa's heart skipped a beat; he remembered that he was happy his sister wasn't around at the time of the attack, but now he understood she might have died already before the Stone Wall was breached.

"Yesterday, the clan had mobilised our entire army and sent out, and everyone was asked to be ready for retaliation in case the kids told us to come."

"However, it didn't happen. What did happen was that, a sight of a vast army, hiding in the cloud, one thousand kilometres away from the Stone Wall."

Seeing the preparation, they turned tail and left.

Sada sighed and said, "I was happy to receive that news but then I noticed Lawa in a strange state. He exhibited some of the symptoms but he came with extreme pain!"

"The Chief ordered absolute confidentiality as even the army that was sent out didn't know why. Only the scouts and some leaders know."

Sada finished the little that he knew before explaining further.

"I know all these because there is only one Brass Tone Master in the clan. And I'm his only successful disciple. The two of us work to calm down the kids affected. However, my neck is hanging, if I reveal too many things, I may die. You know how these things go!"

Lami nodded in understanding before she leaned and kissed his forehead. Meaning she understood and forgiven him and also he should forgive her for the lack of trust.

"How many!" Lawa asked.

"As of now, I know of 10 but there might be more."

"We need to hide him!" Lami immediately said. She feared that Lawa might be harmed in a way.

"No, we can't. He looks fine but his mind is on the brink of collapse. He needs healing. And, the clan value them. They came with incredible knowledge that we didn't know of. Two of them have successfully crossed Full Amber and reached the limit of Body Stage."

"That's impossible!" Lami said in shock.

There were Four Great Stages a cultivator had to pass to reach the limit of the World.

Full Amber Stage

Body Stage

Echo Stage

Existence Stage

A cultivator crosses the Full Amber Stage to the Body Stage after stabilising Four Amber Regions in his body.

This wasn't very easy for the majority of people in the world, but for Marmara Clansmen, they just have to reach the age of 14 to 17 for that to happen. Easy right.

The Body Stage was the hardest, second only to the Existence Stage. As it's where the actual foundation was built.

Knowledge, enlightenment, comprehension and experience were required in abundance for one to reach the limit of the Body Stage.

On average, one needs 10 to 200 years before one reaches the limit of the body stage and gets ready to cross the stage.

That was why Lami was in denial.

"Master Brass Tone said, it wasn't a dream. They are all sent back by the Ancestors to prevent our annihilation!"

Lawa trembled as she felt a cold in her spine. She didn't want to comment or deny any of that because it came from a respected True Master.

True Master Brass was not simple, even the Chief and the other Absolute Masters respected him.

His words were never taken lightly and he never was wrong.

She walked and sat beside her brother, "Lawa, don't worry. Mother left enough wealth to protect you. We can even employ the service of Absolute Master."

She tried to calm him more because he appeared more shocked and on the verge of collapse just now.

Sada shook his head, women are too emotional, "We can't protect him. He needs to man up and cultivate like mad. The clan needs him, and he needs himself."

Lawa trembled, his dream of peace was crumbling.

"The other prophet is already making moves. Gathering support from the elders and people in secret."

"Will I be turned into a soldier?" Lawa asked in fear.
