Chapter 3 - True Master Brass

Even Sada didn't know what the Chief was planning with the prophets. What was certain was that they would be groomed better than everyone now.

When the night came, Lawa was taken to True Master Brass for healing.

At every stage of Cultivation, a cultivator gained a title befitting of his status.

Those at the Full Amber Stage who mastered at least two Utility Skills and two battle skills are called Elites.

Masters were those at the Body Stage, though other titles differentiated Masters due to their mastery and professional path.

True Masters were those at Echo Stage. These were true powerhouses and masters of their Cultivation Path, and what set them apart the most was they had two States of being.

Normal State of Being and then Transformation State.

Those at the Existence Stage were called Absolute Masters. Based on the nature of the Cultivation Path, there can only be 1 or 100 Existence Stage Transformation at a time.

However, most Absolute Masters will go their life not having taken their transformation state for centuries because they can unleash the same power just in their True Master Stage.

Another reason was there was a steep price for using the power of Absolute Master. However, their power can bend certain rules of the world to a degree.

Only Absolute Master can cancel Absolute Master's actual transformation power.

Lawa kneeled behind a door, waiting for Sada to inform his master, True Master Brass.

After waiting for minutes, Sada came out and guided Lawa inside.

The room was large with stairs that led to the man sitting on a Gold Grade Maha Beasts Hide that he himself hunted to show power.

Lawa was about to kneel below the stairs but the man's voice made him walk to him.

Lawa reached the middle-aged man; he was bare-chested, his skin darker than most. Wearing only a loincloth to cover his dignity.

True Master Brass was named after his Nature Element and that was Brass Tone.

The True Master grabbed Lawa's face and filled it toward himself and stared at his eyes. Casting a skill that changed his eyes to brass metal which caused a sound.

Lawa felt his eyes being tapped on but he wasn't feeling any discomfort.

"You are the 11 eleventh Prophet!" He muttered, before he smiled and caressed his black beared and asked, "Lawa, did you too see the Ancestor?"

"Yes, Elder!"

"Tell me, what did he look like?" Brass Tone inquired.

Lawa thought for some time before he said what he could remember.

"His appearance changed the atmosphere. Everything slowed down and we all came back to our senses."

Lawa continued to explain more, "His skin is darker bronze than normal, and his tattoo seems to be moulded from his one skin. Some parts of the tattoo are in the form of a channel and some are moulded bulges. Looking at them stimulated my body and I was able to gain back my sense of taste and smell"

Lawa loved remembering this part because it was the only moment in the 21 years of torture that he gained freedom. Also, the Ancestor was the legendary figure that established the clan more than ten thousand years ago.

"Tell me about his eyes!" Elder Brass was all smiles as he rested his hand gently on Lawa's shoulder urging him to know more.

"His eyes seemed hollow. They lack emotions, but when he glances at me, I feel that he smiled my way."

"Lucky brat!" The elder muttered under his breath. "Tell me more!"

Lawa kept telling him what he saw and understood until he had nothing else to tell.

"Good. Good. You are very special and unique." He picked a cup filled with a brew and made Lawa drink it.

"Lawa, your mind has faced incredible pain that is beyond what a brain should take. Now, you have to be patient, don't join the meaningless race. Rest and recover."

Lawa nodded but the man understood the boy didn't get him.

"You didn't get what I mean." The elder said seriously, "Your mind can't take the hassle of cultivation. Especially our cultivation of Art. You need at least 5 years before you can be ready to cultivate"

Lawa was shocked as he stared at the True Master; at first, he felt relief, but then he realised what Sada had told them.

It wasn't just a dream, they were sent back by the Ancestor for a purpose.

This means their enemies can strike any time from now. If that happened, he would be powerless.

"Sada wants your existence to be a secret but I will inform the chief only and forward the request too." He added. "You don't need to worry, you will be well protected."

Sada guided Lawa out; he, too, had not realized Lawa's condition was worse and would prevent him from cultivating.

What they all didn't know was that Lawa had lived a life of agony for 21 years, and the moment he woke up and exclaimed it was a dream, the deluge of pain flooded his mind.

Despite being well nurtured and having a strong mind, his brain would have melted. Even among cultivators not all can handle that much ordeal.

As they came out from the True Master, they immediately gave way to three people.

A young girl, not older than Lawa by much, but she was moving forward while two True Masters were walking behind her.

Both Lawa and Sada have their heads down in respect.

'Isn't that Larai?' Lawa was surprised; he knew her, and she was only one year older than him.

"Larai has reached the limit of Body Stage!"

Sada dropped a bomb that made Lawa tremble in shock.

"She started cultivating a week ago. And…" Sada sighed, "Her foundation is as robust as it can be. She only needs Chief permission to cross to Echoe Stage."

Lawa immediately felt that he was super inferior compared to them. "How. I understand they have lived for 21 years and might have been through a lot, but growing still takes time!"

"What? 21 years?" Sada asked, confused before he quickly understood and dragged Lawa back home.

After he sealed the room, he made Lawa sit down and began to say, "All the other Prophets are unique in a way. Some of them have already awakened Eye Innate. That is not important now, but there is something you said that the others didn't!"

Lami was also there; with True Master Brass's permission, she could be part of those who knew what was happening. She has to, due to her connection with Lawa and she was a trustworthy woman.

"You are the only one that described the Ancestor. All others only said to have seen blur. Some said they were blinded by his presence. But you saw him and even described him well."

"Really," Lami smiled, that was a point of pride to them.

"It means you have something that others don't. And then you said 21 years, but to others, it was 19 years; only Marium said something about more than 20 years."

"After careful investigation, we came to understand you have seen 20 to 22 years of events. You are the only one that gives accurate year duration in a heartbeat." Sada smiled.

Lawa sighed before he said, "Tell me more about the others!"

He wants to know what they have achieved and what they are doing now. What exactly are their goals and what exactly does the clan want from them?

To Lawa as long as they will be properly protected, he was willing to take his time to recover.

"You need to rest!" Lami interjected, "Here eat this and sleep!"

As Lawa slept, the couple converse about what they should do next.

They can see an opportunity to elevate Lawa's status and procure enough great cultivation resources that will even help them accelerate their own cultivation. Especially things that money can't buy.

What they all hoped for was that Lawa would gain a legacy of ancient knowledge that would benefit them all just like other Prophets.

In the morning, Lawa woke up, no nightmare and that was a good sign.

Even Lawa felt he had recovered well.

For healing purposes, Lawa was taken to Soothing WaterFall, a place where waterfalls filled with Rain.

The ambient atmosphere of the place was so good that it pulled the mind and heart.

There were four known energies in the world, Rena, Rona, Rain and Maha energy.

Rena Energy was found within all living things apart from plants and microbes.

Rona Energy was found within plants and microbes.

Rain Energy was found within special waters and moisture.

Maha Energy was found everywhere in the inanimate world.

Rain and Rona can be ingested in humans and converted to Rena for nourishment but Maha Energy don't normally react with anything.

Having a session in Soothing WaterFall, Lawa's mind recovered well and he walked back toward home.

As he passed through a corridor that would lead him outside the underground chamber, he saw something, and he jumped back, terrified.

The object of his fear was a floating stone filled with strange markings glowing red before it lost its power and fell.

This just showed that Miracle Stone has just been harvested.
