Chereads / Wrong Reincarnation [OIMUHCAW] / Chapter 34 - Invasion II

Chapter 34 - Invasion II

In the sky, a figure was moving at high speed. The clouds were splitting as the figure moved. The figure seemed to be running across the sky.

"Hahahaha, how useful my skills are!"

In the sky, I was laughing like a madman. I was moving faster than a moving car, and it was all thanks to the skill 'Wind Boost' and a little help from the 'Mana Shield'. Whenever I required it, I would create a shield in the air and use it as a foothold. If I did it by myself, it would be impossible to achieve, but if D tried, it was a different story. Thanks to him, I now felt like a falcon. The breeze and the beautiful clouds made me feel great, even though I could barely hear my voice. Truth be told, I was going really fast. This speed would be impossible to use on solid ground; I would be mashed if I collided with something.

"How difficult it is to breathe up here."

Breathing while moving at that insane speed was exhausting, not to mention the altitude I was currently at: easily exceeding 1000 meters in height. I didn't dare to go any higher.

- WE SHOULD BE CLOSE TO THE LOCATION.

"Understood."

The idea to run through the sky was D's. It was the most feasible and fastest way to go. If the elves saw me running, they would surely make a fuss. I had a feeling, and it was that only the people in the castle before knew of my existence.

- ABNORMAL ENERGY DETECTED.

"Let's go down."

After hearing D's report, I knew we were close to our target. Therefore, I proceeded to dive down. I dropped my body into the clouds. Up until now, we had been sailing blindly; we only knew the direction the castle was in. Elementals weren't very good at giving explanations.

"How pleasant this feels."

After a while of letting myself fall, I opened my eyes and my vision finally stopped seeing clouds. The next thing I saw was a beautiful landscape and a giant black semi-transparent barrier that completely covered a castle.

"How great."

- YES, IT'S BIG.

"Where is my goal?"

- MOST LIKELY IT IS INSIDE THE BARRIER.

"Well, how do we get in?"

- LEAVE IT TO ME.

"Can't I do it?"

- NO, THAT BARRIER IS VERY STRONG. ATTACKS WILL MOST LIKELY BE REFLECTED. EFFICIENT CONTROL OF OUR ENERGY WILL BE REQUIRED TO ENTER.

"Okay, I'll leave it in your hands."

After giving D permission, my body began to move on its own. D began to move with 'Wind Rush' and 'Mana Shield' again. Within minutes, he positioned himself on top of the barrier and, without a second thought, dropped back down. As I fell, D covered my entire body with a powerful 'Mana Shield' and added 'Iron Skin'. With every passing second, the speed increased.

'Hey, D, you weren't thinking about crashing into the barrier, were you?'

- YEAH.

'You're crazy, you're going to kill us.'

D's idea was bullshit. Apparently he wanted to crash into the fucking barrier. Unfortunately for me, it was too late to stop him. I could already see the surface of the barrier very close to us.

"Shittt ...

I screamed out of nerves.

- ACTIVATING THE 'CUT' FEATURE. CUT WILL BE APPLIED TO ANYTHING THAT TOUCHES OUR BODY.

At the same time, outside the barrier where more and more heavily armed elves were gathering, a blond-haired elf with hazel eyes was looking up at the sky. If you looked at him from behind, it would seem like he was looking at the barrier, but the reality was completely different. The reason he was looking up at the sky was due to his innate ability. His ability was usually of no use in a battle, and it was of no use in his daily life either. He always wondered about the use of his ability. His question was finally answered today.

"What the hell is that thing?"

The bloodline Eru came from was noble; therefore, some members inherited the family's abilities. The 'Magic Eye' was an extremely useful ability; with it, you could perceive things that you normally couldn't perceive. He was born with such an ability, but no matter how much they analyzed his 'Magic Eye', they couldn't figure out its function. It operated in other ways; therefore, it was discarded by his family as a useless 'Magic Eye'. Eru didn't care that his innate ability was classified as useless. It didn't discourage him; on the contrary, it motivated him to become stronger, but today he finally discovered the use of his 'Magic Eye'. His ability activated by itself, and thanks to it, he was able to sense the approaching monster. Eru could only watch, from where he was standing, as that thing approached the barrier at almost imperceptible speeds. If it weren't for his ability, he was sure he wouldn't have noticed it.

BANG! CRASH!

A loud sound is heard throughout the area. The barrier trembled from the tremendous impact it had just received and strong waves of wind swept through the area. Eru's troops, being taken by surprise, were unable to defend themselves properly and most of his subordinates were blown away by the wind. Eru managed to react and pulled out his long sword and stabbed it into the ground so as not to be thrown away. He saw it: the humanoid creature successfully broke through the barrier and in turn left a gap of at least three meters.

"It's closing."

Eru was the only person who wasn't thrown off and sent flying. He quickly analyzed the situation and knew that this was his chance. He had to enter the gap created by that thing before it closed. He would think about how to deal with the creature later. Without wasting any time and without waiting for the strong winds to calm down, he shoots like a bullet into the sky. Inside the palace of the hero Angrod, in the royal recovery section, sounds of swords and spears could be heard echoing throughout the area. In a spacious room, six figures lay.

"Tsk, that damn traitor."

Anger could be heard in Angrod's voice. The situation couldn't be worse. They had been completely fooled. A voice that sounded noticeably tired said:

"Father-in-law, please calm down. You're scaring Lia."

Turning his head, Angrod saw Eryn hugging a little girl who was shaking uncontrollably. It was normal for her to be like that; every few seconds, the walls could be heard rumbling and the sound of screams, but unfortunately, they were not the screams of the invaders, only the screams of pain of her people could be heard.

"I'm sorry, Lia."

Currently, they were in the recovery room where Maedhros was staying. They had to take refuge here in order to protect the king. They still didn't know the attackers' true intentions, but they did know that they had been betrayed by Eldarion. The bastard had brought a teleportation scroll into the palace, and with it, they easily overran them. They didn't know how he had managed to activate a scroll in the palace, which was filled with magic circles that restricted teleportation. And not satisfied with his betrayal, the bastard Eldarion began to murder all the servants in the palace.

"Tsk, if only my son was awake."

If Maedhros were to awaken, then they could easily dismantle the barrier surrounding the palace. After a while, a beautiful voice was heard. Words that did not fit the personality of the person came out of her mouth:

"Something broke through the enemy barrier, something massive and extremely powerful."
