Chereads / Wrong Reincarnation [OIMUHCAW] / Chapter 39 - Deception I

Chapter 39 - Deception I

Since I came to this world, horrible things had happened to me one after another. The first people I met turned out to be scumbags of the worst kind; they were willing to kidnap defenseless children for their own benefit, and now I had stumbled upon a group of lunatics willing to murder an innocent girl. This world was just as rotten as my previous world.

The scene that met my eyes after passing through the door was something that should not happen to any mother: seeing your little daughter slowly die in your arms, feeling your daughter rapidly losing body heat, seeing your beloved daughter's blood slowly spill out and not being able to do anything to help her.

The scene that my eyes were seeing filled my mind. The rage that I kept inside me wanted to come out and tear to pieces the person who caused this tragedy, but thanks to a voice that interrupted my thoughts, I managed to quickly regain my sanity.

"What happened to the invaders?"

It was Angrod. His golden eyes were filled with rage; it was clear that he wanted to go kill the people who caused this incident. Unfortunately for him, they were no longer in this palace. I answered while throwing something towards Angrod:

"Two escaped."

Angrod quickly caught what I threw at him, and after looking at it in detail, he recognized who the head belonged to:

"Eldarion".

Angrod felt disappointed; he wanted to be the one to take Eldarion's life, he wanted to make him suffer slowly and painfully, but that could not be now; he would no longer be able to take revenge against him. A childish voice filled the room:

"Who dared to harm the elf girl?"

A question, it was just a question, but those present did not feel it as such; there was something sinister about the small being they were looking at. Everyone present felt shivers run through their bodies; this only lasted a second.

"It was this bastard," Angrod said as he looked at the head he was holding in his hand.

"I understand".

Without wasting any time, I walked over to where a woman was holding a little girl in her arms. No one dared to stop me as I walked over to the elf girl, and they were right to stay out of my way. If anyone had tried to stop me, I would have turned them into ground meat in a matter of seconds. When I got to Eryn, who was holding the elf girl in her arms, I ordered:

"Give it to me."

I didn't get a response from Eryn; she didn't seem to hear my words. It was more than clear that she wasn't in her normal state of mind. Wasting no time, I activated 'Move' and ripped the elf girl out of her arms. As I did this, Eryn reacted and tried to get her back, but a shield formed around her preventing her from getting close to the elf girl. Everyone present just watched, including Angrod; it seemed like they didn't want to offend me in any way. In the room, only Eryn's screams could be heard, but I completely ignored them and focused on the girl floating in the air in front of me.

"What the hell is this thing?"

There was some sort of dagger with a black blade embedded in the elf girl's chest. Blood was soaking through the girl's small body. What caught my attention was the dagger; inside the metal of the dagger was a most strange being hidden. The detail was not only in the being; that thing was repelling the surrounding mana and feeding on the elf girl's blood; that thing was devouring her. Everyone seemed to believe that the elf girl was dead, but ever since I set foot in this room I saw it: her heart is still moving and her body still shows signs of life. Her signs are slight, and that is more than enough for me. That dagger, without a doubt, wanted us to believe that the girl was dead in order to feast on it. After checking the elf girl's entire body with my 'Demonic Eye', I spoke to the strange being:

"Hey you, dagger-looking thing, withdraw your power or I'll eat you."

At my words, everyone made different faces; it was obvious that they didn't know what I was referring to.

"Well, don't beg for mercy later."

After saying those words, I closed my eyes and muttered:

"Liar's World".

The world changed in an instant. The room we had been in a second ago was nowhere to be seen. What appeared before everyone's eyes was a completely white space. Everyone present instantly felt it: in that place, they were just ordinary people; mana did not exist in that place for them to use; their skills did not work; their internal mana did not work to boost their physical abilities; they were just ordinary elves. A childish voice spoke at that moment, bringing everyone present out of their thoughts:

"Don't worry, you'll be able to use mana when you get out of here."

The small voice confirmed to everyone that he was the one who caused such a situation. Angrod asked with a slight tone of sadness in his voice:

"What are you trying to do with my granddaughter's body? She's already d-?"

"I didn't rescue the elf girl because I was seeking some gain; I rescued her simply because I felt it was the right thing to do. I didn't take the time to help her only to have someone kill her later. This child will live, no matter what."

After saying those words, I heard D's report:

- COMPLETE ANALYSIS. I'LL TAKE CARE OF THE REST.

Hearing D's typical voice, a smile escaped my mouth as I looked at the elf girl in front of me. Soon after, my body began to move on its own; my right hand rose up and the elf girl's body rose to the level of my stomach, and soon my hand touched the dagger. When my hand came into contact with the dagger, it almost immediately began to repel my hand. Everyone saw how my right hand was quickly burned from opposing such energy; blood was gushing out of my hand; it was obvious that the dagger was impeding my healing. The bastard, without a doubt, had good power, but her resistance was short-lived; it only took me 5 minutes to completely restrict the dagger's ability, and when my hand finally wielded the dagger properly, it disappeared; D had sent her to the bucket to begin her torture. Now that the dagger had left the elf girl's body, it was time to deal with the real problem. My right hand was placed on the elf girl's chest.

- REPAIR WILL NOT BE ENOUGH TO SAVE YOUR LIFE. YOU WILL BE SUPPLIED WITH LIFE ENERGY STORED IN THE CUBE.

'Do what you have to do.'

- UNDERSTOOD.

Following D's response, an insane amount of life energy began to pour out of my body, or more specifically the cube. All of that energy was being transferred to the elf girl. Not even 10 seconds had passed and her body, which was previously extremely white, began to regain color. This did not go unnoticed by Angrod and the others; all they could do was keep their mouths open and hold their breath. After 5 minutes of hard work, D reported:

- THE INDIVIDUAL'S VITAL ENERGY HAS BEEN RESTORED.

- THE 'REPAIRER' FEATURE WILL BE USED ON THE INDIVIDUAL.

'Do it'.

The wound left on the elf girl's chest disappeared in an instant; it was as if such a wound had never existed. All the damage the elf girl suffered was successfully repaired, and some strange energy left behind by the dagger was burned away by the insane amount of vitality. Everyone could now hear the girl's faint breathing.
