Chereads / Wrong Reincarnation [OIMUHCAW] / Chapter 36 - Invasion IV

Chapter 36 - Invasion IV

The situation had become complicated. Aris was on his knees, healing the hole in his abdomen. Leonardo had been killed in a matter of seconds. Eldarion was bleeding out from the huge cut he received. Now they only had one unharmed member left, and that was Gladis, an expert in hand-to-hand combat; but the person in question did not seem fit for the situation. He was shaking uncontrollably; he seemed to want to calm down, but his attempts failed every time he tried, and the reason was due to his werewolf instinct. He was different from the other members of his race; his instinct always told him how dangerous his opponent was. He had never been wrong before, and his instinct told him that he had to flee the place, but he could not escape; his body was paralyzed by fear. Noticing the disadvantage, Eldarion shouted:

"Aris, remove the barrier!"

"Ugh, I can't."

"If you don't take it off, we're done for. Look at those bastards!"

Eldarion pointed at the human in the distance. He was unharmed; the attack he received did nothing to him. And on the other side was Eru, who looked at them with cold eyes; he was more than ready to cut them into pieces.

"Ugh, idiot. If I remove the barrier, do you think they'll get weaker?"

"What do you propose then? That we let ourselves be killed?"

"I will release the seal."

"Wait, are you crazy?"

"It will only be for a minute. That should be enough to wipe out everyone in the palace."

"And you'll drag us down with you. Think of another way."

As Aris and Eldarion argued, a white-haired boy slowly approached them. Noticing this, Eldarion became on guard; his gaze alternated between the boy and Eru, fearing that the latter would attack him from behind. The human stood a few meters away from them and said, in a childish but indifferent voice at the same time:

"The sin of calling me 'girl' will be atoned for with your lives, you motherfuckers."

"Bastard, you're fucking us over for that alone?" Eldarion asked, veins standing out on his head. The boy's response made him furious.

"Yeah. I just came to deliver a message. I was planning on leaving after giving your leader a little beating, but calling me 'girl' when it's abundantly clear I'm a man."

"You're crazy."

"Shut up, you stupid elf."

"How dare you?"

"Just you wait, you bastards. Gardolak warned me not to kill that guy, but I don't give a shit anymore. I'm going to blow the entire barrier to pieces and you all too."

As I was preparing to activate my authority, something strange happened. The guy Gardolak had told me not to kill, his eyes under the mask turned black. His eyes were originally dark brown; that small change didn't go unnoticed, but what came next was a surprise. The hole I had made in him earlier closed up in a matter of seconds. He stood up as if nothing had happened. When Eldarion saw that Aris's wound healed instantly, he walked away from him almost immediately, took Gladis with him, and ran away like a coward. Aris said, in an annoyed tone:

"I didn't lose control, stupid! Come back here immediately!"

Hearing Aris' words, Eldarion turned to look at him, fearing that he would die at Aris' hands if he lost control.

"You scared me."

At that moment the white-haired human intervened, but this time he had a wide smile. He spoke:

"Hahahaha. Great! Now I get it. That's death; the power of death, to be exact."

Eldarion was shocked. Very few individuals have managed to find the true source of Aris's power. He looked at the human with eyes of disbelief. Aris replied:

"Let's get this over with."

"Yeah, of course you want to finish quickly. I doubt you can handle that insane amount of energy, but I have bad news for you: I'm a bad opponent for you."

- THE ANALYSIS IS COMPLETE. THE ORIGIN OF THE ENEMY'S POWER IS IN HIS CHEST.

'Understood.'

The atmosphere grew tense. Everyone in the vicinity sensed the change in the invading leader. Dark energy seeped out of his body and began to gather at the tip of his index finger. He raised his hand and pointed it at the white-haired human. A small sphere of dark energy could be seen on his finger. A laugh escaped from the human's mouth:

"Hahahahaha. Damn bitch, do you want to blow me to pieces or turn me into dust?"

I didn't get a reply; the bastard wasn't joking. Without wasting any time, I said out loud:

"Hey, elves! Get out of this place! That guy is going to blow the whole area to pieces!"

I warned the five elves present. The four elves who were fighting with the elves who seemed to be being controlled had already finished off half of them. If they stayed any longer, they wouldn't be able to withstand what was to come, so I decided to give them a hand. As for the elf who followed me, he was standing still, waiting for his chance to attack. It was more than clear that he wanted the head of Eldarion and the enemy leader. Without wasting any time, I used 'wind shear' and waved my right hand back, in the direction of where the 21 elves were. I left the aim to D; I didn't want to blow the head off the wrong elf. And with my left hand I imitated what the guy in front of me was doing. Well, D was the one who was in charge of imitating the technique. A sphere of translucent energy began to form on my index finger. The plan was to fight fire with fire.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

Within seconds, sounds of heads falling to the ground could be heard. The remaining 21 elves were quickly eliminated. This surprised the four elves who had been having trouble dealing with them. But the most surprised by the situation was Aris, who couldn't help but ask:

"You... how come you're not affected by my power? How can you use mana so easily?"

Hearing the question, everyone turned to look at the human. They had all asked themselves the same question; their doubts were soon answered:

"It's simple. This barrier seems to have the function of restricting the mana of the atmosphere, but not the mana within. All I have to do is use large amounts of internal mana. The trick is to draw out more mana than your power can restrict, though my mana is still drastically weakened."

"That's impossible."

"Well, I have a lot of mana to waste."

Aris noticed that the white-haired human's imitation was starting to grow thicker and more visible. His intuition told him that things were going to get ugly, but there was no turning back now. Aris spoke:

"Eldarion, prepare yourself. I will send you to that place. Do not fail."

"Alright."

The space around Eldarion distorted in an instant and he disappeared along with his companion, Gladis. This did not go unnoticed. The white-haired human said, surprised:

"That's a most interesting power."

Now that his companions were far away, Aris was ready to exterminate his enemies. As he was about to shoot, something happened. The human raised his right hand and waved it forcefully; at the same time, the body of Eru and the elves rose into the air and shot off in a certain direction. The elves were taken by surprise; some tried to break free, but their attempts failed; an invisible force moved them against their will. Only one elf did not resist; he had a clear idea of why he had driven them away from that area.

"Still not in the mood to tell me the location of Gardolak?"

"Of course not, you idiot."

Two energies shot out at the same time. When the two energies collided, they generated huge waves that swept away everything around them.
