I've always liked the smiles of good people. Seeing a good person happy somehow makes me happy too. It's a strange feeling. I don't consider myself a good person; I've murdered people. I'd be a fucking bastard if I apologized for murdering. How can I apologize when I loved killing them? I've always liked screwing people who hurt others.
A part of me has always liked screwing with these kinds of people. Every time I make their lives miserable, a strange feeling comes over me. I had promised myself several times not to give in to my impulses, but I always end up breaking my promise. I died because of my stupidity and was given another chance at life, but apparently, this new world seems to be just like my old world. Heartless people live here who are more than willing to hurt innocent children.
That elf girl I met earlier, I doubted she would make it to 10 years old. I rescued her on a whim, but I went to the trouble of saving her. I can safely say that that girl wouldn't kill a single fly with those tiny hands. But you come to tell me, as if it were nothing, that someone staged a whole large-scale attack just to kill her. What kind of sick joke is that?
In front of me were three bastards. To be honest, I wanted to turn them into ground meat. It was possible with my powers. These guys thought they were invincible because of their stupid barrier, but after a while of my intervention, that arrogance they had was removed. I usually change my mind quite often; I like to adapt to situations, and this situation required a little change. I needed to show these trash the importance of appreciating life.
The plan was simple: I was going to kill one of the three. I told them that one of them had to sacrifice himself so that the rest could escape, but of course there was a way for all three of them to leave in one piece, but I obviously wasn't going to tell them that. They just had to stand up to me and not abandon anyone. If they did it that way, I would pretend to fight to stop them from escaping and in the end, I would let them go. I had given them a chance; I wanted to know a little of what they had in their hearts, I wanted to know if deep down they were good people, but the answer I received disappointed me. The masked person spoke:
"You stay, Eldarion."
Hearing those words, a sigh left my mouth. With that one answer, he condemned the guy called Eldarion.
"What the f-!"
'We'll come back for you later. If you don't give in, there's a good chance that all three of us will be killed.'
'Tsk, and shit, let Gladis do it.'
'If Gladis does it, he'll probably be executed immediately. You must be the one to do it. I'll make it up to you later.'
'Besides, you won't be alone. Remember that guy is here.'
'Didn't Isaac die?'
'Idiot, demons don't die that easily. It must be out there looking for a new host.'
'Okay, I'll do it, but if I die, I'll curse you.'
A childish voice spoke. Disappointment could be heard in its voice.
"Okay, then you stay with me; the rest can go."
"Alright".
"Ah, I almost forgot. Tell your boss that if he sends anyone for the elf girl again, I'll come to her home to pay her a visit."
Hearing my statement, the three guys froze in place. Surprise could be seen on their faces. Seeing their faces, I said, with a serious face that was not in keeping with my current age:
"I'll kill so many people you'll need several sheets of paper to calculate the number of lives I'll take. I'll dedicate myself body and soul to fucking him up if he challenges me. That's all I had to say. Get out of here!"
Hearing my words, the masked man nodded. I didn't know if he had taken my statement seriously, but that didn't matter to me. I already knew where to go to find them. The corpse of the guy called Leonardo had already leaked quite a bit of useful information.
"We are retreating. I will pass on your words verbatim."
After the statement, the masked guy took out a worn-out scroll. I tried to analyze the scroll, but failed. That dark energy kept weakening me constantly. A dark energy came out of the guy's body and seeped into the paper, and soon after, as if by magic, a kind of darkness slowly enveloped the body of the masked guy and his other ally, who seemed to be dying of fear. Their bodies turned transparent until they disappeared completely. Watching them leave, I smiled to myself. I looked at the guy who was left and said:
"Sweet dreams, Eldarion."
Spurt! Thud!
I cast 'Wind Shear' on Eldarion. It was at such a speed that he didn't even know what happened. All my ears heard were the sounds of a head hitting the ground and blood splattering on the spot. After killing him, I stuffed his corpse into my bucket and grabbed Eldarion's head. There was someone who would definitely like to see his head.
"Those fools must have thought I'd hand that guy over to the elves. They couldn't have been more wrong. Well, now all that's left is the escaped rat. If it ever shows itself, I'm going to eat it. I doubt that thing can be killed by normal means."
A certain individual escaped; I could not detect it, but D was an exception. The thing waited for the right moment and left, but it is most likely still in the palace.
"D, get rid of that annoying barrier now."
- IMMEDIATELY.
Now that the person who created the barrier was gone, I could feel the effects of the barrier gradually weakening, but of course, I wasn't going to wait for it to disappear on its own. My health wasn't the best because of that barrier.
- THE BARRIER WILL BE DESTROYED.
After hearing D's report, my body began to move on its own. My right hand rose up on its own, and a sphere of energy began to gather at the tip of my index finger. I wasn't good at measuring the energy I used, but I did know one thing: the energy D was charging had already exceeded the amount I used earlier. When he finished charging the energy, he shot it towards the roof of the palace. Nothing could stop the energy beam from advancing. The roof shattered, and the energy continued to advance without stopping.
CRACK!
Soon a sound of something breaking was heard, and following that, the entire palace began to rumble: the ground, the walls, and the ceiling. When I felt myself starting to lose my balance, I used 'Move' on myself and began to levitate in the air.
"How strong!"
The entire area was shaking. It was an impressive tremor; it seemed like the palace would collapse. Without wasting any time, I used 'Wind Boost' along with 'Mana Shield' and shot off at breakneck speed towards a certain room. Along the way, I received a rather curious report:
- ACTIVATING THE 'HIDE' FEATURE.
"Oh shit!".
I had completely forgotten to turn 'Hide' back on.
After a few minutes of driving, I arrived at my destination. Everything around me was full of cracks; the tremors had completely subsided. Arriving in front of a wooden door, I knocked three times.
Knock knock knock.
I couldn't just break through the door like a beast. After a few seconds, I heard a voice coming from behind the door:
- You can come in.
It was Angrod's voice. Now that he had granted me access, I proceeded to open the door with 'Move'. When I entered the room, I immediately noticed 11 individuals. Eight of them were staring at me with strange looks; two were unconscious and the last one was crying inconsolably.
