Chereads / Wrong Reincarnation [OIMUHCAW] / Chapter 19 - A small problem I

Chapter 19 - A small problem I

After being bombarded with everyone's gazes, Flurris had no choice but to spill everything he knew. Everyone in the room listened to what Flurris had to say; he didn't leave out any details regarding the human and his elemental. The more Flurris spoke, the faces of everyone in the room filled with confusion: an elemental protecting a human, a human saving an elf, what kind of madness was this? After finishing listening to what Flurris had to say, the room fell completely silent. The first to break the silence was Maedhros' father and the former king of the kingdom.

"Are you sure that elemental doesn't follow the rules of the world tree?" he asked.

- I'm not entirely sure, Mr. Angrod.

"What do you mean by that?" Angrod inquired.

- When I mentioned the royal family, he agreed to help. That showed me that he knew about the rules that elementals must follow.

"What a strange being"

- Yes, he is an arrogant elemental, he even called me a nobody.

"You?" Angrod asked in surprise.

- Yeah.

"Aren't elementals supposed to have hierarchies?" Angrod questioned.

- Yes, normally no elemental would dare to disrespect me in such a way, but that elemental was a special case. I suspect that his rank is several times higher than mine.

With that statement, silence once again reigned in the room. The silence was soon broken.

- As you know, we elementals have ranks.

- Low rank: Low rank elementals are those that have just been born into the world, ages 0-100 years. They lack attributes; they cannot have a bond with elves.

- Mid-Rank: Mid-Rank Elementals are those who have managed to develop an attribute, ages 100-500 years. They have a nature attribute; they may have a bond with elves.

- High rank: High rank elementals are those who developed their attribute to the maximum, ages 500-1000 years. They have a nature attribute; they may have a bond with elves.

- Manifestation rank: Elementals of this rank are difficult to find, as they have unique personalities; their attributes rarely fall into the nature category, ages 1000-2000 years. They may have a link with elves.

- Neutral range: Elementals in this range are very rare and their strength varies depending on certain circumstances; their attribute is unknown, ages 5000 years and up. You cannot have a bond with them.

- Apostle rank: I have no information about these elementals, but from what I've heard they can compete with a dragon in mana manipulation.

- There is another rank, but I am forbidden to talk about that rank.

Hearing Flurris' explanation, everyone listened in silence. Soon Angrod asked:

"What range do you estimate that elemental is in?"

- I'd say neutral range. Being able to hide from me, who's a high ranker, and perfectly conceal his mana, that's definitely beyond my capabilities. While I'm not currently at my best, it's still difficult to hide things from me.

With that statement, Angrod's face twisted. This situation was problematic; if an elemental of such a rank was really with a human, things could get troublesome. The best thing they could do was kill the human and make the elemental lose interest; they knew that this kind of elemental couldn't have a real bond with a human, as the human would die in a matter of seconds.

"Where is the human currently?" Angrod asked.

- Sir Angrod, if you plan to capture or eliminate the human, be prepared to lose your best men. If it turns out to be a neutral-rank elemental, the other elementals will not help you in your fight; the low-rank and mid-rank elementals will not obey. In the worst case, the elementals will help you fight against him, Sir Angrod.

Flurris added, answering Angrod directly so the others wouldn't find out.

"Don't worry, Flurris, we won't do anything to the human; after all, he saved my dear granddaughter," said Angrod.

"Idril, please bring the human to the royal palace," he ordered.

At Angrod's words, a tall woman with silver hair and green eyes stepped forward.

"Interesting," he commented.

- Be careful, don't provoke the elemental.

Giving the human's location to Idril, she confidently replied:

"Don't worry, I wouldn't disrespect the one who saved my precious niece."

After saying those words, Idril's entire body began to turn transparent; she was slowly teleporting to the palace closest to the entrance to the kingdom.

"Honey, let's make a meal for the human who helped our little one."

Maedhros turned his head to look at his wife; she, of all people, would know what it meant to let a human into the royal palace and host a meal for him. The human would enter the palace as a royal guest. If the ten noble houses of the kingdom found out about this, they would undoubtedly raise an uproar. But Maedhros was more afraid of his wife than the ten noble houses.

"Alright," Maedhros replied.

In one part of the great elven forest, two figures could be seen; one was panting constantly and was covered in bruises all over his body; the other figure, however, was completely unharmed. The two individuals had been in an intense fight, but it seemed that a winner had already been decided.

"Ufff, ufff, ufff, ufff, ufff," one gasped.

"Hey, we should stop now, you're going to die if you continue," said the other.

"Shut up, ufff," the first one replied.

"How stubborn," commented the second.

The guy I had been fighting all night until now was already tired. He turned out to have a lot of tricks up his sleeve; 112 times he came close to killing me. If 'D' didn't help me, he would have killed me a long time ago. The guy's techniques were very lethal to me, and so was his shitty staff; he kept hitting me with it. Thanks to him I found out that he was very inexperienced when it came to the use of weapons and hand-to-hand combat.

"Are you still not willing to guide me to the city?" he asked.

"Bastard, are you still fucking around with that, ufff?"

"Well, I really want to go to the city," he insisted.

"Do you want to kill people that much, you damn demon, ufff?" he asked.

"Hahaha, and still the same, I'm not a demon," he replied.

"Yeah, sure, you're a human who doesn't die from anything, how funny you are," he replied.

"Yes, I can die, but you are very weak," he replied.

"Ha, whatever you say."

"Well, I tried, I was patient with you, I gave you plenty of chances and you blew them. You leave me no choice but to kill you," one of them said.

"Come on, damn it, I'm not going to make it easy for you," the other challenged.

"I hope so".

The guy I was fighting was having a hard time reading my movements, and the reason was because of 'conceal', which had been hiding all traces of mana in me. Just as I was about to finish off the black-haired guy, 'D' intervened:

- WE ARE BEING WATCHED BY AN EXTREMELY POWERFUL INDIVIDUAL. NO KILLING INTENT WAS DETECTED.

'It must be an elf,' I thought.

After hearing the report, I stopped and looked straight in the direction of the sun. My gaze met that of a tall woman who had beautiful silver hair. Our eyes met; upon seeing me, the woman smiled at me and I smiled back. After that exchange, the woman standing in a tall tree shot in my direction at breakneck speed and within seconds, she arrived at my location. Upon arriving, the guy who had been getting beaten up completely froze; a face of fear came over him. The woman looked around the area, looked at the bruised guy, and looked back at me. After finishing her analysis, she spoke directly to my mind:

'Nice to meet you, my name is Idril and I have come to escort you to the elven kingdom.'

I stood admiring the beauty of this woman; this was on another level of beauty. After a few seconds of admiring her, I replied:

'Nice to meet you, Idril, but if you are here it means that the elf girl arrived safely to her kingdom, therefore, there is no need for you to escort me there.'

'??????'

Idril's face was one of pure surprise; she couldn't tell if she was talking to the human or the elemental. The other thing that caught her attention was the fact that in telepathy, the human's voice could be heard and not the elemental's. This was strange in many ways.
