In a room lie three figures: one sleeping soundly, another trying to wake the sleeping one, and a figure just watching from a couch.
"My lady."
"Wake up, please."
"Lady Idril, wake up."
Anna tried everything to wake Idril up, but her attempts yielded no results. Anna knew that Idril hated waking up early. It was currently six in the morning. The reason Anna was desperate to wake Idril up was because of the old man Angrod, who was calling her for some reason.
"Let me try, Anna."
"Wait, what are you going to do?"
Getting up from the comfortable couch, I moved towards the bed Idril was curled up on. She was helpless; Anna was looking at me suspiciously. She had no idea what I was planning to do. Speaking of Anna, this morning when she came to bring my clothes, she almost dropped her jaw, and it was just normal. I greeted her by speaking the Elvish language perfectly. D managed to learn the entire language in one night; Anna, on the other hand, glanced at me from time to time with a suspicious look. She probably thought I had already been taught the language before. Approaching the sleeping Idril, and under Anna's expectant gaze, I proceeded to spank Idril. I enhanced my physical abilities so that it hurt her.
Zas!
Paffff!
A sound echoed throughout the room as my right palm landed on Idril's butt. This was revenge for the punch from earlier. A few seconds later, I could see Anna's eyes snap open, and Idril's eyes widened as well. This time I wasn't going to allow her, in her outburst, to hit me. Instantly, I activated 'invisibility cloak' and 'hide'. Anna tried to turn in my direction to reprimand me, but she didn't see the person who was there a few seconds ago.
"Ayyyy, but what?"
Idril stood up like a demon. Fortunately for Anna, this time Idril was not blinded by anger.
"Annaaaaaa."
"My lady, you will see..."
Anna paid the price; she was not allowed to explain herself and was bombarded with scoldings.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't do it again."
"Understood."
Anna was burning with rage towards the human who hit Idril. She had to bear his guilt.
'Sassy.'
'Scoundrel.'
'Corrupt human.'
'Wicked.'
Anna started a series of insults in her head, directed at the human who got her into this situation. The human soon appeared; somehow, he was coming out of the bathroom that was connected to the room. Entering the room, as if nothing had happened, he said:
"Good morning, Miss Idril. I can see you woke up in a bad mood."
"Good morning, Mr."
"What happened? Why are you rubbing your butt?"
"It's no big deal."
Idril said it was nothing, but the truth was that it stung badly. She didn't understand how Anna had dared to spank her like that. After calming down a bit, she noticed a certain incongruity in the situation, and it was coming from the human.
"Wait a minute, what did you just say?"
"Are you still not fully awake, Idril?"
"You? How?"
"What exactly do you mean?"
"You're speaking our language."
Idril's mouth hung open in surprise. She hadn't expected D to actually learn her language overnight; that was impossible for any creature. Idril was brought out of her shock by Anna.
"Miss Anna, Mr. Angrod is calling you. You must go to the main living room."
"Whaaat? Why didn't you tell me before?"
"That's what Anna tried, but nothing would wake you up. Idril, that's why Anna chose to spank you; you left her no choice."
Anna bit her lip upon hearing such slander. She had no choice but to nod her head.
"Alright."
Idril quickly took a quick bath and got ready in the blink of an eye. She still didn't know what to say to Angrod; therefore, she decided to hand D over to old man Angrod and disappear so that she wouldn't be asked any annoying questions. After fifteen minutes, Idril was ready to go out into the living room.
"Come on, D, you're coming with me."
"Well, but how do I look?"
Idril looked at D's appearance and noticed his elegant black suit. She didn't know the reason why D asked for it black, but it suited him perfectly; it was simply beautiful. He had his long hair tied up with an accessory. Idril had seen several humans throughout her life, but never one this beautiful. Now that he was clean and had no dirt on his body, she noticed that his beauty was not only rival to the beauty of the elves; he could even surpass them. Forcing herself to stop thinking about his beauty, she said:
"You look normal, come on."
After Idril was ready, we left the room. Anna and I followed Idril into the living room. On the way, several elves turned to look at me with suspicious and contemptuous glances. But they didn't say anything and the reason was Idril; with a single glance from her, she scared them away and they didn't question why there was a human in the royal palace. A few minutes later, we arrived at our destination. A large door appeared before us. The material of the door was not common; I knew that, using 'wind shear', it would take me several minutes to break it down. The reason was that the mana was running through the door as if it was alive. What a strange phenomenon! Although it wasn't the first time I noticed that phenomenon; the staff I had stored in the bucket used a similar principle. That staff was a pain in the ass; its power allowed it to extend and become invisible. It gave me a lot of trouble, so I kept it; I would use it when I ran into someone annoying.
"Good morning, Miss Idril."
"Good morning, Miss Idril."
The two guards saluted in unison and soon proceeded to open the large doors. Each pushed one side of the door; they were noticeably extremely heavy. The guards noticed me, but ignored me in an instant. When they opened the doors fully, we entered; Idril and I, while Anna stayed outside. Entering the large living room, we soon noticed three people who were sitting in the center of the room. Idril and I approached them. The people who were sitting on luxurious furniture soon looked at us. The gazes of the three people fell on me. Arriving in front of the three people, Idril spoke:
"Hello, sorry I'm late; something unexpected came up."
The first to break the silence was Eryn.
"Don't worry, Idril. More importantly, is it him?"
"Yeah."
"But Flurris informed us that he was a human child."
"Sister, you'll see..."
"Did you mistake me, Idril?"
"Sister, it's a boy!"
Eryn was shocked; she thought he was a girl because of how beautiful he looked.
"Fufufu, really?"
"Yes, sister."
"And what language do you speak?"
"Well, about that..."
"I can speak your language, ma'am."
In an instant, the room fell silent. The three people were speechless. After a while, Maedhros spoke.
"Oh, where did you learn the Elvish language, child?"
Hearing the guy's indifferent voice, I got annoyed; he was talking to me as if he was above me, as if it was my duty to answer his questions. I ignored the guy and answered everyone:
"Nice to meet you. You can call me D. I have come to this kingdom at Idril's request. I do not plan to stay long and I would appreciate it if you did not try to inquire about me."
Maedhros was shocked; he had just been ignored by a human. Seeing the human's actions, Angrod laughed inwardly.
"Nice to meet you, D. My name is Angrod and I am the grandfather of the girl you helped earlier."
Standing up and approaching, the fellow called Angrod extended his hand to me. Seeing the polite way he treated me, I shook his hand in response. This behavior surprised everyone in the room; Angrod shaking hands with a human was an abnormal event.
"From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for saving my little granddaughter. You have brought peace to our hearts."
Idril's mouth dropped, as did the others; that Angrod was thanking the human.
"The reason I sent Idril to find you was to give you your due reward."
"I see, don't worry about it."
After my greeting with Angrod, we were invited by him to sit down. The center of attention was me; everyone had their eyes fixed on me. Soon, Angrod broke the silence.
"Idril, what took you so long?"
The question Idril didn't want to answer finally came.
"Well, about that, things happened."
"Oh, what kind of things?"
"Well, things."
Idril was tense; she didn't know how to respond without humiliating herself. Seeing Idril so nervous, I intervened.
"We arrived late because the human who kidnapped the elf girl was very resistant; he was very strong, but Idril managed to capture him with her amazing strength, isn't that right, Idril?"
"Uh, yeah."
Angrod looked suspiciously at Idril; he knew something was wrong with her, something she was hiding. Maedhros intervened.
"I understand the situation, but where is the human you captured, Idril?"
Idril looked at D. She didn't know where the human D fought had gone. Now that D had said she captured him, she needed some tangible proof. But to her surprise, that little detail was quickly taken care of.
"Here's the subject."
Standing up from the couch, I stepped back and extended my hand into the void. Everyone looked at me curiously. Soon, out of nowhere, the body of the subject in question appeared. Everyone's eyes widened; silence reigned in the room for several minutes.
