After we came to an agreement, Angrod left; once he fulfilled my demands, he would set Idril free. I knew he still wanted me dead. The reason for this was simple: I had nearly murdered his son. His anger was more than justified, but I didn't care.
"Now I just have to wait for him to comply"
I had told Angrod the three things I wanted: the first thing I asked him to bring me the corpse of the bird beast; the second thing I asked him to make me a suit out of the beast. The reason behind this was simple: I wanted extremely durable armor. I knew that the alpha's feathers were as hard as iron. The third request was the easiest to fulfill: I asked him to bring me the product that they made the sweets from before. When I asked for said product, Angrod's face wrinkled; it seems he was starting to believe my past statement. In this way, three days passed. All that time I spent sleeping; well, I rather pretended to be sleeping. From time to time I would feel Anna come in with food; I didn't eat; instead, I made Idril eat. She wasn't like me; she needed to eat to live. The idea of pretending to be asleep and pretending to have my guard down was intentional. I wanted to see if they had the guts to attack me. There were two guys watching me; it was obvious that they could see me. The fact that there were walls did not seem to be an obstacle for them.
'Those idiots think I haven't noticed that they're watching me all the time?'
- DIRECT CONFRONTATION IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
'I know; those two bastards aren't easy to deal with.'
It was annoying to be surrounded by strong people, but luckily for me, I wasn't imprisoned in this room. It's not that I couldn't get out of here; with my abilities, I could hide perfectly and go for a walk without being disturbed. Another thing to note was that in these three days, D returned to normal; he no longer made fun of me and obeyed everything I ordered him to do. According to what he told me, the reason for the change was due to the influence of the five people I killed earlier. It seems that in the process of extracting memories, D was influenced by them. Currently, those two egos dwell within me; well, calling them that doesn't do them any honor. After thinking things through, I decided to call D's creation an 'artificial spirit'; those things occupied fragments of my soul; it felt strange. When D finished creating them, I thought of the uses I could give them. Putting them into dead bodies was my first idea, but that didn't work.
It wasn't as simple as I thought. Another thing to take into account was the personalities of those two. The man's personality was that of someone who thinks he's above all people. I had a little chat with him and he told me to fuck off, literally speaking; the guy was arrogant and proud. I didn't know where that pride came from, but I didn't care either. And as for the woman, what could I say about her? She wouldn't let me talk. When I tried to communicate with her, she bombarded me with her complaints. From what I could get out of her, she seemed to be quite upright and her morals were on another level. After talking to those entities, I forbade D from creating more of them. I didn't want to go crazy. Since they were attached to my soul, I could hear them directly in my head; that was very annoying, so I had to order D to shut them up. I could delete them if I wanted to, but I found the power to create such things interesting. It was already around one in the afternoon and I was lying on Idril's bed. As for her, I hadn't let her regain her body since I cut Maedhros in half. The reason for this was because there was a chance she would attack me to death, and I wasn't in the mood for a fight with her. After a while of doing nothing, I got bored and made a decision.
'I'm going for a walk.'
Without wasting any time, I activated 'invisibility cloak'; there was no need to activate 'hide' as it was always active. The moment I activated the skill, almost at the same time the two guards who were watching me entered the room. Their faces were of pure surprise; they lost sight of their target, who simply vanished suddenly. One of the elves spoke.
"What happened?"
"I don't know, maybe he teleported away with Miss Idril's ring."
"Impossible, that ring can only be worn by royalty."
The two elves had a heated discussion. After taking a quick glance at Idril, who was standing like a statue and not moving, they quickly went to inform Angrod of the news. They quickly ruled out the possibility of D teleporting using the ring, as Idril still had it on her hand. After the two left, a voice was heard from a place where no one was seen.
"Interesting, so you have a similar vision to mine."
- CORRECT.
Apparently they couldn't sense me through my mana, but they could sense me through my physical appearance; they must have had enhanced vision or something.
"Okay, let's go."
I opened the door to the room and walked out into the hallway. Afterwards, I started walking through the hallways in my invisible state. I left Idril in the room; I didn't need her for this, and I wasn't afraid of getting caught. Since I used 'hide', I've never been caught unless I let them. In this way, I spent the next two hours exploring the place with my eyes. It was extremely easy to see inside each room; most of the rooms were just luxury rooms, there was no one in them. The entire floor and walls seemed to be made of marble.
"They are definitely swimming in money."
The palace was huge: 100 rooms, each with their bathrooms and all the basic necessities. I identified three very well-made and ornate living rooms. Something I noticed was that the elves seemed to like the color white and green. Every now and then, I could see the guards running around like crazy; they were all looking for me. They had at least 30 elves looking for me all over the castle. From what I could tell, the royal family abandoned this castle; I couldn't find Angrod, Eryn, Maedhros, and the elf girl.
"Good move, Angrod; you got them out of the castle."
- WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?
"Should I blow up the entire castle with 'shockwave'?"
- IF WE APPLY AN EQUIVALENT OF A THOUSAND TIMES OUR BASE POWER, WE CAN BLOW UP THE WHOLE PLACE.
"It was a joke."
- UNDERSTOOD.
After walking for some time, I noticed a certain space outside the palace I was in. It was a kind of training ground that I could see through the thick wall of the palace. In the training ground was a beautiful elf woman; she had a beautiful pair of black eyes and her hair was as black as her eyes. Her skin was pale, almost white; her height was around one meter and 90 centimeters.
"Oh."
- AN EXTREMELY POWERFUL CREATURE WAS DETECTED INSIDE THAT ELF.
"What, really?"
- YES. SOMETHING DARK IS HIDING IN HIS BODY; THE ELF DOES NOT SEEMS TO BE AWARE OF SUCH EXISTENCE.
"Interesting."
- THAT EXISTENCE IS COMPARED WITH THAT CREATURE.
Hearing what D told me, I was frozen. I knew what he meant.
"She must be killed."
- UNDERSTOOD.
Just as I made my decision to kill that thing, something got in the way: one of the ten guys from before approached the black-haired elf.
"Tsk."
I clicked my tongue. Facing just one of them was already a problem, but another one had appeared.
"Let's leave it for another time, better."
I didn't feel like getting killed, so I decided to go on my way. The reason I went out was to take a little walk; I just wanted to relax a little, but there was a nagging feeling in my head. A certain thought had invaded me.
"Is everyone in this world this dangerous or have I fallen into the worst possible place?"
I was fed up with being surrounded by so many strong people; I felt bad.
