The family meeting grew more intense as Luna's father laid down the ultimatum. "You're resuming at the company tomorrow," he said with a finality that made Luna's heart race.
"Mom, talk to your husband about this!" she pleaded, her voice rising. "This is not possible."
But her father ignored her protests, his expression unyielding. Luna took a deep breath, trying to explain. "Acting is the only thing that gives me joy. It's my life!"
Her father's temper snapped. "Who do you think you are, Luna? Do you think you can just make decisions for yourself?" His voice boomed, each word laced with anger and frustration.
Unable to take it anymore, Luna pushed back her chair and stood. Without another word, she stormed out of the dining room.
Her mother turned to her father, her voice calm but firm. "She's our only child. You can't push her like this." But her words fell on deaf ears.
Luna felt a mix of anger and helplessness as she left the house. She had no one to confide in, no one to guide her through the chaos. Then, she remembered her boyfriend, Sony. Maybe he would listen.
She called him. Once. Twice. Three times. But there was no answer. She bit her lip, the earlier argument between them replaying in her mind. Her chest tightened with frustration.
Then she thought of Tony—her childhood friend. He had always been there for her. Without hesitation, she dialed his number.
"Luna! It's been a while," Tony's warm voice greeted her.
"Hey, Tony," she said, her voice softening. "Are you free tonight? I... I really need someone to talk to."
"Of course," he said without hesitation. "Let's meet."
At the fancy restaurant, Luna sat at the table, poking at her food. The earlier confrontation had stolen her appetite, but she needed the distraction.
The sound of Tony's laughter filled the air as he approached the table. Tall, handsome, and exuding charm, he turned heads as he walked in. Women around the room couldn't help but stare, their gazes lingering on the man who was the epitome of every girl's dream.
"Having a hard time?" Tony teased as he sat down, his playful grin lighting up the room.
Luna managed a small smile. "It's a blessing to have a handsome guy sitting in front of me. Maybe you can comfort me a little?"
Tony chuckled. "Of course, Miss Dramatic. Tell me what's going on."
As they talked and laughed softly, Luna began to relax, even if only for a moment.
Unbeknownst to them, someone in the restaurant had noticed them. It was one of Sony's friends. Discreetly, he took a photo of Luna and Tony and sent it straight to Sony with a simple message: "She's cheating on you."
