Chapter 4 - Shattered Trust

Luna's heart skipped when she saw Sony standing next to his car, arms crossed, a cold look in his eyes. She felt a wave of irritation rise up—she didn't like being questioned, especially not by him. But given the tension that had already built up between them, she knew she had to explain herself.

"Where are you coming from?" Sony demanded, his voice sharp.

Luna hesitated. Despite her natural instinct to shut him down, the weight of the earlier misunderstanding left her with no choice but to respond. "From my parents' place."

Sony's eyes narrowed, his expression darkening as he looked her over with contempt. "Really?" he scoffed. "Explain this." He showed her a photo on his phone—one of her laughing with Tony, her childhood friend, in a fancy restaurant. The picture, taken without context, looked far worse than it actually was.

Luna's stomach churned. Her mind raced to explain, but before she could get a word out, Sony cut her off. "When trust is broken, it can't be amended," he said flatly, the bitterness in his voice like ice. He didn't give her a chance to explain further. Without a second glance, he got into his car and drove off, leaving Luna standing there, stunned and unable to react.

"Sony!" she called out weakly, but he was already gone.

She stood there for a moment, trying to process what had just happened. Then, she numbly walked back to her apartment, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts. The weight of the argument, the misunderstanding, and now Sony's cold departure hit her all at once. She collapsed on her bed, staring at the ceiling, unable to shake the feeling that everything was slipping through her fingers.

The Night That Followed:

Luna tossed and turned, unable to sleep. The events of the day haunted her, and she couldn't escape the emotional whirlwind. Thoughts of Sony's accusations, her father's refusal to listen to her, and the confusion over her growing connection to Tony all blended together into a fog of uncertainty. What had once seemed like a solid relationship with Sony now felt fractured beyond repair.

The Next Morning:

When Luna arrived on set the next morning, her colleagues immediately noticed something was off. Her face looked pale, and the vibrant energy she usually brought to her performances seemed absent. "Luna, are you alright?" one of the makeup artists asked. "You're not looking your best today. We'll need more makeup to cover up the exhaustion."

Luna barely heard them. She nodded absently, but the words didn't register. She performed her scenes as best she could, but it was clear she wasn't fully present. Her mind kept drifting back to Sony's betrayal and the pain she felt from being misunderstood.

Later That Evening:

After the shoot, Luna tried calling Sony, desperate for him to answer, but he didn't pick up. She tried again. No answer. And then she realized—he had blocked her.

Frustrated and heartbroken, she picked up her phone and called Tony. When he answered, Luna couldn't hold back anymore. She poured out the entire story to him, every hurt and frustration, each part of the misunderstanding that had led to this moment. Tony listened quietly, his shock and disbelief growing with every word.

"I can't believe it," he finally said. "Sony doesn't deserve you, Luna. How could he be spying on you like that?"

But Luna wasn't looking for advice on how to break up with him. She just needed someone to tell her what to do next.

"Are you advising me or not?" she snapped, her voice raw with emotion.

Tony's teasing voice broke through the tension. "Okay, Miss Lover, go to his apartment. You need to explain the situation to him. He needs to hear it from you."

Luna sighed, torn between the impulse to give up on Sony completely and the desire to fix the mess she'd unintentionally created. She didn't want to give up on the relationship, but she wasn't sure how much more of this she could take.

Luna contemplating her next move. Should she go to Sony's apartment and try to salvage the relationship, or should she let go of someone who no longer seems to trust her? With Tony's words lingering in her mind, Luna prepares for a confrontation that may change everything.
