Chapter 3 - Fractured Bonds

Luna poured her heart out to Tony, recounting the confrontation with her father and the immense pressure she was under. Tony listened carefully, his brows furrowed in thought. After a moment, he said, "Luna, do what's best for you. Prove your father wrong by succeeding on your own terms. You have what it takes, and I'll support you no matter what decision you make."

Luna sighed deeply, her frustration evident. "But he won't listen to me, Tony. He's so set in his ways, and I don't even know where to start convincing him." She rubbed her temples, her thoughts spiraling. Before she could continue, her phone buzzed on the table. It was her mother.

"Are you going to answer that?" Tony asked, glancing at the phone.

Luna shook her head. "No. It's just my mom. I can't deal with her right now."

The phone rang again and again, but Luna ignored it, choosing instead to focus on the present moment.

Meanwhile, Sony's phone buzzed with a new message. He opened it, and his face fell as he stared at the photo of Luna with Tony at the restaurant. "What is this?" he muttered, anger and confusion boiling within him. Without hesitation, he grabbed his car keys and stormed out, driving furiously toward Luna's place.

Back at the restaurant, Tony's phone rang. It was Luna's mom. "Tony, how are you? Is Luna with you?" she asked anxiously.

"She's here, ma'am," Tony replied honestly. "But she's a bit upset and doesn't want to talk right now."

Her mom sighed in relief. "Thank you for looking after her. Please take care of her for me."

After the call, Tony looked at Luna. "Your mom is worried about you. Maybe you should give her a chance to explain."

Luna shook her head. "I just want some space right now, Tony."

Tony nodded, respecting her wishes. He then steered the conversation toward lighter topics, making jokes and teasing her to lift her spirits. Luna laughed for the first time all evening, grateful for his unwavering support.

As they wrapped up their conversation, Tony asked about her boyfriend. "So, what's going on with Sony? How are things between you two?"

Luna hesitated before answering. "It's... complicated. I feel like he doesn't understand me sometimes, but I want to give him more time. Maybe he'll come around."

Tony tried to mask his displeasure. He'd never liked Sony from the start, but he chalked it up to jealousy and kept his thoughts to himself.

After chatting and comforting each other, they finally left the restaurant and headed to their respective homes.

When Luna stepped into her apartment, her breath hitched. She froze, wide-eyed at the shocking sight before her.
