Chapter 15 - Odd clothed man (1)

Emma had stared at the odd clothed man infront of her. Did she hear him correctly, did he just say he was the owner of the iron box. Questions had rushed into Emma's mind her curiosity from when she had first found the box had came back to life but it was heavily overshadowed by the immense regret she had felt for killing Luna.

She could only bring herself to ask a single glaring question to the odd clothed man.

"Why did you lose the box in the first place? Did you know how much you could have prevented if you didn't lose the damn thing," Emma had asked.

"I lost it because I lost it. It's pretty simple actually. Would you mind returning the box now? I wouldn't want to snatch it from a young lady like yourself," The odd clothed man answered.

"If you answer my next question seriously I will" Emma declared.

"Sure, ask all that you want." The odd clothed man said.

Hearing his answer Emma was somewhat delightend and had intended to really ask all that she wanted.

"How did you come here? I could have sworn I saw no one near me from miles away." Emma inquired.

"Because you made a banned wish. I had made my box here make some wishes well, unwishable, and instead of making that wish come true I had made it so that it would summon me instead," the odd clothed man answered.

Emma had looked at the man in confusion. How could someone control the Wishing Box? Till this point Emma had always believed that the wishing box was some mystical item that man simply could not control or had even known about, except her and the people she had shown of course.

People she had shown… Emma's mind had begun acting on its own and she had thought of a new question to ask.

"Why wasn't killing others a banned wish?" Emma asked.

Emma had been extremely curious about that especially. How come she hadn't been able to wish to die, but she could wish Luna dead. Where was the logic in that?

"I was thinking about doing so in the past, but a kind gentleman had used a wish to kill a very evil dictator. People from then on had been using my box to wish evil men from society to die, did you know that one guy had wished for hitler to die using my box before. Banning that wish now would feel like a silly thing to do," The odd clothed man answered earnestly.

Hearing this Emma had felt very let down about herself. Especially since everyone but her had used the wish to kill for a noble cause except for her. She had felt like she was the one that should be killed now.

"Are you going to hand it over now, you know I don't got all day… actually scratch that I do, but I still want my stuff back!" The odd clothed man announced.

"Okay, one last question" Emma said.

Emma didn't really know what to ask, but she didn't want to let this opportunity pass by. Thinking it over for a bit Emma had decided to ask one glaring question in her head, Why was it that she couldn't wish Luna back to life? That doesn't sound like a wish that would need to be banned in the first place. Emma took a deep breath and asked.

"Why is reviving someone from the dead, especially since I killed her with a wish, banned." Emma inquired.

"Because it can't do such a thing," the odd clothed man replied.
