He already paid which was his loss, She took a deep breath and sprang into action, moving swiftly and silently, her eyes scanning the room for any signs of surveillance when she found none she sighed.
With her heart pounding in her chest, Lexi made her move, slipping out of the hotel room and into the lobby, she found an old woman dragging her bag along the lobby, hesitated a bit to continue but continued anyway, she saw an elevator and boarded immediately making sure she's the only one in before taking her mask off.
"HEY BABE" Lexi smiled when she received a text from Suzie.
"ARE YOU OKAY?"
"I RAN OUT"
"WTF???? ISABELLE IS SO GONNA KILL.YOU"Lexi roll her eyes.
"IT'S THE GUY FROM THE BAR"
" WHO LEXI?I NEED THE WHOLE GIST, WHERE ARE YOU?"
A waft of the familiar scent of lavender hit Lexi's nose and before she knew it the elevator already stopped and already pulled open, Lexi immediately grabbed her mask on her face and collided with a solid wall of muscle, Strong hands grasped her arms, steadying her, she glanced up ready to fight back but her heart sank looking at the set of eyes gazing straight at her.
"We meet again Lexi"

Daisy taxi in front of Novamed Hospital, a towering structure of glass and steel, its sleek modern design a testament to the cutting-edge medical care that lay within. The hospital's facade was a maze of reflective windows, each one glinting like a tiny mirror in the sunlight. A gleaming silver awning stretched out above the main entrance, bearing the hospital's logo in bold, blue letters.
Daisy pushed through the sliding glass doors of the hospital, a warm whoosh of air enveloping her as she stepped into the sterile environment. The bright fluorescent lights overhead cast an unforgiving glare, illuminating every corner of the bustling lobby. The air was thick with the scent of disinfectant and the muted hum of machinery.
As she walked, her heels clicked on the polished tile floor, echoing off the walls. The sound was lost amidst the cacophony of beeps, whispers, and rustling clothes that filled the air, her eyes scanned the room, taking in the rows of plastic chairs, the bank of elevators, and the reception desk, where a harried-looking nurse tapped away at a computer keyboard.
"Hello" She waved, the nurse looked up smiled at her, and nodded, Daisy nodded back moving with ease in her tailored suit and immaculate makeup which set her apart from the worried-looking relatives and frazzled patients.
Beyond the lobby, the hospital's corridors stretched out like a labyrinth, lined with state-of-the-art medical equipment and staffed by some of the finest healthcare professionals in the city. From the cutting-edge oncology wing to the advanced neonatal intensive care unit, Daisy entered the elevator and came out on the 4th floor.
Daisy's heels clicked on the polished floor as she walked down the dimly lit corridor of the fourth floor, the air thick with the scent of disinfectant and the soft hum of machinery, she passed by several doors, each one labeled with a different room number, before stopping in front of a door marked "Private 14".
She pushed the door open and stepped inside, her eyes adjusting to the bright fluorescent lighting. The room was small, with cream-colored walls and a single window that let in a sliver of sunlight.
A young boy lay on a hospital bed, surrounded by a tangle of wires and machines. His eyes were closed, his chest rising and falling with each shallow breath, Daisy's gaze swept over the array of medical instruments, her heart aching with worry.
She felt a lump form in her throat as she gazed at her grandson's fragile form, she had always been a strong, capable woman, but the sight of her grandson lying helpless in a hospital bed was almost too much to bear, the sight is always too much to bear.
She took a deep breath and composed herself, her eyes never leaving her grandson's face, she knew that she had to be strong for him, to fight for his recovery with every ounce of strength she possessed.
She walked over to the bed and gently took her grandson's hand in hers. "I'm here, baby," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."
The boy's eyes flickered open, and he gazed up at Daisy with a weak smile. "Grandma," he whispered, his voice barely audible, her heart swelled with emotion as she squeezed his hand gently.
"Hey, baby," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. "How are you feeling?"
The boy's smile faltered, and he looked away, his eyes welling up with tears. "I don't like it here, Grandma," he said, his voice cracking. "Where's mummy? I want to go home."
Daisy's eyes stung with tears as she leaned forward, her lips brushing against his forehead. "Caleb, mummy says she'll be here as soon as she's done with work," she whispered. "I know. But you have to stay here for a little while longer, okay? The doctors need to take care of you."
Caleb nodded, his eyes still welling up with tears. "I'm scared, Grandma, I want to see my mummy" he whispered.
Daisy's heart broke at the fear in his voice. She wrapped her arms around him, holding him close as she whispered words of comfort in his ear. "Mummy will be here soon, baby," she said. "And I'm not going anywhere. You're safe, and you're going to get better. I promise."

"We meet again ma'am"
Lexi's eyes snapped up to meet Jackson's piercing gaze. His eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in a mixture of surprise and suspicion.
"What are you doing out here?" Jackson asked, his voice low and even.
Lexi's mind went blank, She had been so focused on escaping that she hadn't prepared an alibi. She forced a smile onto her face, trying to appear nonchalant.
"I...I was just looking for the vending machine," Lexi stammered, trying to wriggle free from Jackson's grasp.
Jackson's eyes never left hers. "There's no vending machine on this floor and damn!!! You are doing that with a mask?" he said, his voice dripping with skepticism.
"I...I was thirsty and lost the...the ability to think?"She questioned her words and immediately masked them up. "That's what happened, um...where are...."
"You're stammering"
