Henry walks to his classroom and notices Anna looking at the marker board that shows the schedule for auditions for new club members. "What are you doing?" he asks. She jumps, and as she turns, their eyes connect, making her heart race. He looks at her intently. "Hello?" Kyle and Ben wave their hands in front of her face. "You must be Henry Castle! You look even better in person than in your photos," she says, and then quickly bites her tongue when she realizes she just said that out loud. "Of course I do! Have you seen my parents? But I can't say the same about you," he replies with a smirk as she blushes and reaches out her hand. "I'm Anna William, and I'm fifteen," she adds, he chuckles. "Are you really that unlucky kid who thought you could impress me in a school owned by my family?" Anna pulls her hand back as Elena comes over, laughing at her. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. Please don't see it that way," he laughs. "What else could a poor nobody like you say?" Anna feels like crying, but she manages to keep her tears in check. "Why are you being so mean to me? I don't even know you, but it feels like you already hate me," she said. He laughed mockingly as he walked towards her, with his hands in his pockets. "You're Anna Williams, right? I bet you were thrilled when you got accepted here. But honestly, welcome to hell. You can't even afford the fancy uniform that we wear, so just stay in your own lane, Anna." She nodded as he walked away, and she wiped the tears from her eyes.
As she walks to her locker, she whispers, "Whoever said this was a dream come true lied." Just then, Edward leans against the locker next to hers. "So, you're going to quit on your first day, huh? If you give up now, you'll never experience how fun Elite is without the MISOE. It's a great school," Edward says to her. "I'm sorry, who are you?" she replies, turning to face him. "I'm Edward Castle, and my stepmom is the owner of the school," he says, flashing a bright smile that shows off his white teeth. She nods in response. "I'm Anna William. I apologize for not knowing," she replies, but Edward laughs. "It's fine; many people are drawn to my brother because he's good-looking, a bit mean, and has that bad boy vibe," Anna says with a chuckle. "You're handsome too, just so you know," he says as his cheeks turn pink. "Thanks! If it's okay with you, can we be friends?" Anna nods, looks into his eyes, and takes his hands. They walk to class together. It's break time, and Edward swipes his card for both of them while Elena sits down, munching on her biscuit. "Hey, Scholar Girl, this area is for the MISOE only, can't you see?" Elena says, pointing at the VIP section. She gets up and grabs her backpack to leave, but Edward looks at her in surprise. "What are you doing?" he asks. Elena jumps a bit at his sudden presence. "Can you believe her, Edward? She wants to eat here with the MISOE!" Edward also picks up his backpack. "Hey, what are you up to?" Henry gets up and grabs Edward's arm."Edward, I understand we don't agree, but family is important. I don't want you to be friends with her; you need to support me," said Henry. Edward sighs "Henry, stop acting like a child. You sound like someone who just lost their candy. Be fair; she earned her place through hard work. You got too used to being the top student, and maybe it's good that she's here to push you," said Edward. Henry frowned. "Edward, don't get up from the table; you're family," Henry says to him. "Didn't you just hear her? Anna is my friend, and I want to have lunch with her." Anna walks to the main cafeteria with Edward, and Nora and Jamie come along too. "I'm sorry about my sister's bad behavior, Anna," Nora says. "What does MISOE mean?" Anna inquires, and Jamie laughs. "It means Most Influential Student of Elite," Nora replies while opening her plate of spaghetti. Anna gasps, unable to take her eyes off the delicious lunch. Edward opens her meal, and it has the same thing. "How much does a meal cost here?" she asks, and Jamie laughs. "A full course meal at Elite costs about fifty thousand Anna,"
he replies, feeling weak and pushing the meal back towards Edward. "Don't worry, Anna, I can pay for it," he says. She nods. "Just because you can doesn't mean you should," he laughs. "We're friends, and I know you can't pay for it, but I can. My card is an unlimited amount ." He sets down a delicious plate of spaghetti, which is full of shredded chicken, turkey wings, yellow bell pepper, and green bell pepper are served, along with a salad on the side, a bottle of water, and a soda. "What does that mean?" Nora pulls out her card as well. "We all have premium cards, which means no matter how much you spend, it never runs out because there is no limit." Anna's eyes widen in surprise. "We can switch off buying lunch if you agree to be our friend," Anna says. Anna is left without words. "But why are you helping me?" Anna asks, and Edward turns red. "Because it's the right thing to do. It's not your fault that your parents aren't rich. Don't let my brother pick on you like that again, okay?" She nods in agreement.
