"Hmm… those are just the same old excuses," Laura says as she walks away, leaving Edward to stare at his mom. "It's not her fault that you're not great at being a good mom, you know," Stella replies in surprise. "I'm pretty sure she already said that word so you could say it back to me, right?" Edward shakes his head. "It's no use, Mom. Aunt Laura takes care of Henry all day while she also tries to be a mom to me." Stella frowns. "Edward, is this about your exam? I told you I would be working today." Stella tells him . "Mom, you always seem to have new excuses for work. Kyle sent this photo to Henry four hours ago, and apparently your important work was joining the RwOA (Real house wives of Abuja ) of instead of being here for me. I scored 91 just so you know, but Dad didn't care. He only cared that Henry got 97, and he still complains. Do you know how that makes me feel?" Edward starts to cry as he walks away.
Later Laura is in the kitchen while Edward sits quietly watching her clean up his spilled milk. Laura wipes the table with a rag, drapes it over her shoulder, and leans on the table, looking at Edward as he stares at his phone. "Hmmm… someone seems grumpy. Did you notice what I made for you?" She puts down the napkin and sets the glass on top of it."Aunt Laura, I wish I were your son," Edward says. Laura laughs and replies, "Oh, don't say that, Edward. How do you think your mom would feel if she heard you say that? Things will improve soon; you just have to be patient." Edward sighs and asks, "But Aunt Laura, is it too much to want just a little bit of attention?" Laura hugs him tightly. "What are you planning to do with this one I gave you?" He drinks the glass of milk and looks at Laura. "I'm going to binge-watch High School Musical with you," Laura laughs. "That's a great idea! Let me get some popcorn," Edward said as he tapped a rhythm on the table with his hand while they walked to the theater room. It's midnight, and Tony has just helped Edward into bed when Laura turns off the TV. She steps into the elevator and goes upstairs. Once she exits the elevator into a bright white foyer, she climbs the stairs and checks on Henry, who is sound asleep. After that, she makes her way to their bedroom. Laura opens the door and instantly sees George. He looks upset and is walking back and forth, but he stops as soon as she walks by him. He grabs her arm, but she pulls away. "Don't you dare touch me," she scoffs as she moves past him. With his hand still in the air, he furrows his brow and steps closer to her. "I'm really sorry, honey. I didn't mean to be so tough on him," he explains, but Laura growls at him.
"You really think I didn't have a choice about leaving you? I still do. Honestly, George, you aren't the man I married, and I won't pretend that you didn't cheat on me for ten years with her before introducing her into our lives." Tears fill his eyes. "It's my cousin, isn't it? The one you loved before our arranged marriage, right?" She unzips her dress and flashes a big smile. "Aren't you even going to deny it?" Laura walks back toward him. "Why should I? Did you keep the promises we made on our wedding day?" He is at a loss for words. "You want to walk away from me, Laura? You told my mom you had forgiven me." He begins to cry, his hand reaching out to her as she sits down. "I didn't love you, but I respected our marriage vows all these years. I tried everything to love you, while the person I was doing it for was busy cheating on me, making me the joke of the town." He places his hands between her thighs. "I messed up, babe. Please forgive me," Laura says as she hugs him. "Thank you," he replies, but she turns to face him. "You make me really angry sometimes. Leaving you is the only thing I can think of. While you're trying to fix things, don't forget to pay attention to Edward. No one forced you to cheat, and it's not his fault that his parents are idiots." George nods in agreement.
