The next morning, Masha and her father were in the village of Bartisa; the village that was discussed last night.
This village is not very populated, maybe around 100-200 people, most of whom are residents who have lived for a long time. A simple life, but full of caution towards strangers. The houses in Bartisa are also simple made of wood with thatched roofs. This village is in a waste surrounded by mountains. Therefore, the work of the residents is: farming, craftsmen or wood collectors.
As Masha and her father walked a few steps, someone greeted them kindly. That person is none other than the Village Head. "Welcome, Your Majesty, Princess."
The king nodded.
"In that case, let's go into my residence," said the Village Head, immediately leading to his house. He immediately delivered it instead of talking about the problem while walking. This reason is also because it is secret.
As already explained, the Village Head's house is also simple. The table in the living room has been prepared.
"Please sit down, Your Majesty, Princess," he said in a respectful tone.
Soon he sat down. "Your Majesty, there is something I want to talk about."
"Just go ahead."
The village chief took a breath and said, "This problem concerns the security and damage of some small houses and infrastructure," he said seriously.
"Mention it clearly," replied the King, furrowing his eyebrows in a sign of how much and severe the damage to this village is.
"Some of the road boards on the bridge are missing, the storage of the fields is very messy lately and the guard fence is removed which may have been stolen," said the village chief with a sad expression.
"An attack from the outside? Didn't I send troops to guard this village?" the King asked slightly raising his voice.
"That's right. They have reported to me, but they don't know the origin of this attack."
"So, you mean that the external attack caused by it is mysterious magic?" asked the King, making sure to read his mind.
"Yes."
Masha, who listened, began to join the word exchange. She responded, "Don't worry, I'll investigate the mysterious magic. You can tell how much money must be spent on the damaged part of the infrastructure. Is it okay, Father?"
The king glanced at him and cleared his throat, agreeing to the very open offer. "Alright. That's right. This is the right step."
Behind the proposals submitted, there may be something to be done or more. Masha confidently destroys the mysterious magic. She believed this magic was created by someone or a citizen who secretly wanted to take control of the village. With the help of his sister and Kato it will be easy.
After talking, the Village Head took Raja and Masha to see the damaged infrastructure.
First of all, the bridge is a concern. Some boards are missing and leave not small gaps. However, the loss of the bridge board, which looks neat, makes it suspicious.
They proceed to the next infrastructure, which is the field. The tilted door was clearly damaged because the wood was hanging. The crop was a mess. However, it is almost the same as a bridge—the lost fields leave no trace.
Elsewhere, the protective fence collapsed and the poles were also removed. The Village Head approached one of the lying down. However, again no trace was found. However, the Village Head remained in his assumption that all of this was the work of humans or mysterious creatures.
After the observation, the King and Masha would immediately return to the palace. There the carriage and its guards were waiting and ready to go.
"Why don't you take a break first, Your Majesty?" asked the Village Head, as if there was something else that had not been explained.
"Thank you, but I have to go home early," King replied subtly.
"Oh, oh. Well. May Your Majesty and Princess survive to the palace," he said respectfully, wishing for their safety. The Village Head does not want Raja and Masha to be in other problems, while Bartisa Village has not been guaranteed.
Without many words, the King headed for the carriage, he didn't realize that Masha had gone inside first. A few seconds after the guards checked the situation, they left the village. The wheels that initially sounded close, now slowly the sound is getting smaller and farther away.
