Chapter 7 - Mysterious

"Who are you?!" shouted Kato, calling out a voice that showed no form.

"Me? I'm an ordinary person waiting for your presence~," said the woman in a subtle sleepy tone.

"I doubt you," Kato replied, as if in disbelief, he felt that this remark was not from just anyone.

"I'm really an ordinary person. The proof is that I'm afraid of your abilities~."

Kato understands. If the woman is scared, it means that she is observing from a distance as Kato solves some puzzles. However, so far, Kato has not shown anything special.

"I only completed a simple challenge. How could you be afraid of us?" asked Kato.

"That's exactly it. You are the first group to succeed. Congratulations~."

"I don't need a welcome. All I want to know is who you are?"

"Hmm~, unfortunately I don't want to answer, but for sure I'm close to you."

Kato looked around looking for the source of the sound. However, what he saw were still walls and small rocks. "Where are you?"

The woman sighed heavily. It seems to be fatigue and lack of sleep. "Do you really believe that I'm near you? No, I mean I'm within the scope of this cave~."

"In that case, come here. Or give me directions to get there."

"Too fast. I'd like to talk to you for a while. I haven't talked to anyone in a long time~," the lonely woman offered.

"I have a need after this, so, sorry, there is not much time."

"What?~ You've already spent some time in the cave. Isn't that a waste of time?~"

"It's true, but I came here on the orders of the Princess."

"Oh~ Princess Aletra, huh? What is the purpose?"

"We came to search for the magic that troubled the village."

As if tilting his head, she didn't understand where magic happened, its characteristics and how powerful it was. "How can it be?~"

"Magic without a trace damages the infrastructure of the village. The storage of the messy fields and their damage, the bridges with holes. and the missing fence."

"Eh~, what kind of boredom is magic? After all, it's strange that someone brings things that aren't so useful," she replied, she didn't understand what the thief was thinking.

"Therefore, we sought him out and forced him to confess."

"It's hard to communicate with magic, especially if you don't know anything other than the traceless magic you said before~."

Feeling stuck, Kato would ignore this woman's words, as there were no signs of clues. Maybe the suspicious Domatio there has something.

"That's right," he started stepping up and walked in. Followed by Masha and Manda.

Instead of preventing, the woman let Kato inside.

"I know this is your game, but if you're just talking nonsense, I'd better finish Domatio," Kato continued, forgetting the initial curious question about this form of voice.

"Well~, it's a pity to part too quickly. Sorry I can't help~" she replied in an increasingly weak tone.

Domatio, is a different room than before. This room is quite striking. The floor is a mirror that is infinite.

Langit-langitnya seperti langit malam, dan terdapat sebuah portal dikunci di ujung tengah ruangan, seakan-akan yang Kato lihat adalah menuju dimensi lain.

The atmosphere of this room is also different. Kato felt a negative air after a few steps into the room. I don't know what kind of creature it is, but they definitely seem to be being watched.

"That portal worries me," he muttered.

Manda, who stopped walking, said, "We are not instructed. What are we going to do?"

"Destroying the statue... It doesn't seem like it," Kato thought.

Masha pulled the trigger directly. The statue was destroyed, but slowly returned to its original shape —nor did it affect the portal.

"Look."

Kato held his chin. "Hmm, if this doesn't work, how can we..."

As Kato tried to think hard about finding a way, suddenly the door that had opened earlier creaked and closed on its own.

The sound that broke the concentration made Kato turn his head. "What is it this time?!"

While the calm Masha closed her eyes. "Trap."

"You're right, Princess~" said the voice.

Kato furrowed his eyebrows. He is wary of the intangible figure. "You..."

"Who knows~"

"I hate to be long-winded, but if you want to tell me how..."

"Too hasty~ Actually, your way is not wrong. It's just that it's not fast enough to do it~."

Kato paid more and more attention to the statue. "Destroy it?" said to himself.

"I understand. Manda and I just need to shoot. It's easy. Come on, Manda," said Masha without thinking.

"Okay, Sister!"

They were aiming at the statue at the same time. The distinctive sound of the bullet was very clear and quickly hit and destroyed the statue.

The little clue did not make the statue return to its original shape. However, the portal is not affected. In fact, something surprised them.

Floor cracks are heard from the legs. Kato saw it. The fast-spreading mirror floor made things worse.

"What the hell is this?!" shouted Kato panicked.

"!"

"..."

Before they moved, the floor had broken and lost gravity. They fall into a dark hole.

"Ahaha. Are they innocent? It seems like my artificial illusion portal managed to deceive them. Hm, next, what, huh?~"
