Footsteps echoed in the dark cave, and the air felt heavy. The light from Kato's sword helped them step up to the point where they were. The torch is a very helpful tool, but Kato will use it in certain circumstances.
The sky was filled with stalactites that dangled like sharp fangs, water droplets that fell with a clear sound. On the cave floor, their faces were faintly covered—careful in every uneven footing. The walls of the cave are shiny, Among the glitter there are strange lines and carvings if you look closely.
The further you go, the more you feel that the cave is not just an empty space. The pattern on the wall seemed even more strange. They stopped stepping and looked around.
"It feels like the room is very spacious than the one I passed before," said Manda in astonishment,
From a distance, they saw something large standing at the end of the room. The dim light from Kato's sword wasn't enough to clarify—this was when the torch was used, but the silhouette looked like a massive stone structure—perhaps a monument, an altar, or something more unfamiliar.
"What is it?" Manda asked.
Kato lowered his hand—he warned, that something was going to happen. Negative auras from various sides began to feel enveloped. Therefore, Kato put the torch against the wall which he felt could stick firmly.
"I don't know, but prepare yourself," Kato replied, but his tone of voice showed that he didn't like what he was feeling. Kato held his sword tightly, and his eyes looked straight.
"There is no way to retreat but to fight. Alright," Masha replied calmly. She raised his weapon—an elegant pistol in pitch black with gold rune carvings along its barrel. The orange light of the rune pulsed slowly, as if responding to the energy around it.
"Hehe, I'll pull the trigger again," continued Manda brandishing the same weapon gracefully.
A shadow appeared. The shadow seemed to float, moving slowly towards them.
Now they could hear a faint sound, almost like a moan that didn't come from a human. They remained standing in place and waiting for anything to come out of the shadows.
"The target is visible," Masha muttered. She pulled the trigger, and a magic bullet shot into the creature's chest until a small explosion occurred.
"Wow, great sister," praised Manda.
"Too soon to be happy," replied Masha, when she noticed other shadows moving from different sides of the room.
Manda smiled. "I know," she said, then pulled the trigger.
The creature was squeamish. However, Kato fended off with his sword until a clang sounded. He pushed the creature backwards, then stepped forward with a swing that injured the creature.
"Mine!" exclaimed Manda. She pulled the trigger, and his magic quickly struck the creature's head.
However, the other creatures continued to approach, their eyes shining brighter. One of them swung his big arm towards Masha.
Without saying a word, Manda immediately fired his bullet at the creature.
Kato turned around, taking advantage of the opportunity. He jumped up and destroyed it in a single attack.
"Ouch, you guys are too fast," Manda protested a little disappointed, while she seemed to stall and play with the creatures.
Masha points her gun at one of the creatures. Pulled, and glowing bullets penetrated into several parts of the body.
"Sister, why?" asked Manda, who saw one target killed.
"Stay careful."
The creature swung its arms at an unexpected speed. "Beware, Manda-sama!" shouted Kato. However, Manda managed to dodge while occasionally shooting.
"Don't worry," said Manda with a small laugh. "It seems like fighting them with combinations is very exciting. Should we do it?"
"Good idea," said Kato.
"It should be so," said Masha, having the same goal.
Kato took the front position. Manda moves to the side, firing an explosive bullet at the creature's leg and shaking it. Then, Kato took advantage of the gap to slash.
Masha, without waiting for the command to point his weapon, then struck the creature in the chest. Meanwhile, Manda sends his last bullet making the creature roar with a roar.
Kato breathed a sigh of relief knowing that the creature had been defeated. "Good job."
However, their fun was quite short-lived. Suddenly, from the ruins of the bodies of those creatures, light began to appear. The sparkle comes from small fragments that are detached from the creature's body.
"What is it?" asked Manda as she approached the sparkle.
Masha picked up one of the fragments.
Kato, immediately check the others. "This is also the same. We should arrange it first. I'm curious about the original shape."
They began to collect all the fragments from the remains of the creatures they had defeated. When put together, the fragments form a direction of the road.
"It's strange. Even though the path of this pattern arrangement is not the same as our current position," said Kato, while observing and repeatedly to be sure.
"If this does show the way, why is it not appropriate?" asked Manda staring at the pattern.
"Traps are a reasonable thing right now," says Masha, assuming someone is using the strange creature for an unknown purpose. If true, it means that there is a possibility that someone entered this cave first.
"If this is a trap, it means that something is deliberate. The problem is, we don't know who the person behind this is," Manda replied.
When he was about to continue his journey, suddenly a tremor shook the cave, accompanied by a deafening rumbling sound.
"What's going on?!" worried Kato about the situation.
Before he could move far, Kato felt a great dizziness. He also heard the voices of two sisters nearby —they were in the same situation.
When the vibrations stopped, they found themselves in a different place. The steps they take are a path that is in accordance with the pattern they have arranged.
"Masha-sama, Manda-sama, are you okay?"
"Just a..."
"..."
However, something more surprising. From a distance, they could see a large hallway that was visible with little light inside the darkness. This passage is the only road. All sides are just walls with strange carvings, not much different from the previous shape.
