It was already 3:55 PM when a black Mercedes Benz parked at Lily Garden.
This part of the city is very calm and the quietest of the whole Glacia City. However, people only visit the beautiful garden occasionally.
Inside the car were two young and pretty ladies—Kate Bolton and her secretary, Christina Smith.
Kate was sitting in the passenger seat. Her demeanor was calm and classy. Her delicate skin was as white as snow, and her eyes were bright and shiny, sparkling like gemstones.
Christina, who was occupying the driver's seat, cleared her throat, "Miss Bolton, you're so lucky to be finally meeting the miracle doctor after the long search."
Kate smiled slightly, "It's indeed great luck. I appreciate your support throughout this long time."
"That's not necessary, Miss Bolton. But I'm curious; out of all places, why did a doctor with such ability choose Lily Garden as a meeting place? I was expecting an invitation to a big hospital or a VIP lounge for a classy lady like you." Christina turned her neck, gazing at the environment with a touch of confusion on her face.
Kate's lips curled, "Don't get it wrong, Christina. People with great abilities don't like so much attention. Most of them prefer everything about them to be low-key. I think that would be the case."
Immediately after Kate said this, they heard a knock on the car door.
Christina rolled down the window, and their eyes met with a young man with piercing eyes and a sharp jawline. It was Roderick Holmes.
Kate quickly took a glance at her Chanel wristwatch, and the time was exactly 4 PM. She remembered she was informed that the miracle doctor was so meticulous about arriving exactly on schedule. That was why she had arrived earlier.
With the confidence on Roderick's handsome face, Kate's instinct pushed her to ask, "You are Mr. Holmes, the miracle doctor?"
Roderick nodded calmly in response, and the women were stunned.
Christina instantly doubted if Roderick was the right miracle doctor they had been looking for over the years. To be sincere, he was too young to be qualified as an ordinary doctor, let alone a miracle doctor.
Given how ordinarily Roderick was dressed, Kate was a bit skeptical too. However, she knew her grandfather wouldn't give her the wrong information, so she quickly welcomed him.
"Please, come in." Kate opened the door respectfully.
Christina's face remained frowning as Roderick entered and sat next to her boss.
"I was informed that you wanted to see me."
Despite the slight doubt in Kate's mind, the calmness and confidence in Roderick's demeanor left her in awe.
She quickly went straight to the point, "I need you to help me cure my sickness."
"It's alright. Healing you isn't a problem, as long as our agreement is intact."
"That's no problem, Mr. Holmes. I don't go back on my word. You will surely have the calestrus as long as you can heal me," Kate assured.
Then, Christina interrupted, "Miss Bolton, I think there's a mix-up somewhere. I'm afraid that this guy is only a confident trickster."
Roderick remained calm as Kate replied to her secretary, "We don't have to be quick to judge, Christie. Let's be patient to find out what Mr. Holmes has to offer."
However, Christina wasn't satisfied that Kate didn't listen to her observation.
Then, Roderick turned to Christina and asked, "Young lady, how have you been dealing with your irregular periods and hemorrhoids lately?"
Instantly, Christina's face flushed in embarrassment, and she became restless. She was shocked at how Roderick found out about her hidden illness. Not even Kate knew about it.
"It has been very tough. How did you know about it?!" With how frustrating the sickness had left Christina, she didn't realize when she confessed.
Kate was utterly surprised, "Christie, do you really have that illness?"
The embarrassment on Christina's face became more evident as she felt lost for words. "Uhm... I do."
"Really?" Kate asked, and Christina nodded in reply.
At this moment, the doubt in Kate's mind about Roderick was wiped away immediately.
Then, she quickly pleaded with him, "Mr. Holmes, we would be so glad if you could help us cure our sickness."
"It's alright," Roderick said and diagnosed Kate's illness.
"Miss Bolton, if I'm not mistaken, you've been battling with chronic chest pain and dyspnea for over three years. And every attempt you made to cure it only made the situation worse."
There was total silence in the car. It became so difficult for the women to understand how all his diagnoses were so spot on.
"Your diagnosis is correct, Mr. Holmes." Kate was flabbergasted.
Just then, Christina chimed in, "Miss Bolton, I think my earlier observation about this guy is right."
Kate was taken aback, "What do you mean, Christie?"
"It's obvious he's only making lucky guesses! There's no doubt! He's an expert trickster!"
Kate disagreed instantly. "I'm convinced that Mr. Holmes knew what he was saying. Besides, don't you think there's a slim chance of making two correct guesses at once?"
Even though Christina wasn't satisfied, she nodded and said, "I will only agree if he's able to cure the sickness."
Then, Kate turned to Roderick and pleaded, "Mr. Holmes, Christina can be very stubborn. Please don't take her words to heart."
Roderick calmly said, "That's not a problem. I'm only afraid that the longer the sickness remains in your body, the more dangerous it becomes."
"Really? Please, when are you going to treat me?" Kate asked politely, with fear.
"We can settle it here. Unbutton your shirt."
Kate was a bit confused but did as he ordered.
Roderick raised his hand and was about to place it on top of Kate's left breast when Christina shouted, "Pervert! I knew it! How dare you think of taking advantage of Miss Bolton?!"
