As I walked into the library, I couldn't help but notice the girl sitting at the table by the window. She had piercing green eyes and long, curly brown hair. She was studying intently, oblivious to my gaze.
I felt a flutter in my chest, but I quickly pushed the feeling aside. I was here to study, not to get distracted by a pretty face.
As I sat down at a nearby table, I couldn't help but sneak glances at the girl. She was beautiful, and I found myself wondering what her name was, what she was studying, and what she liked to do for fun.
I tried to focus on my own studies, but my eyes kept drifting back to the girl. I noticed the way she bit her lip when she was concentrating, the way her hair curled slightly at the edges, and the way her eyes sparkled when she smiled.
As the hours passed, I found myself becoming more and more distracted. I couldn't focus on my studies, and I couldn't stop thinking about the girl.
Finally, as the library was closing, I gathered up my things and walked over to the girl's table. "Hey," I said, trying to sound casual. "I'm Emily. I've seen you around the library before."
The girl looked up at me and smiled. "I'm Sophia," she said. "Nice to meet you, Emily."
As we talked, I found myself feeling more and more at ease. Sophia was smart, funny, and beautiful. I was drawn to her in a way that I couldn't explain.
As we packed up our things and left the library, I couldn't help but wonder if I would see Sophia again. I hoped so.
