Synopsis
"You better stop the fucking prank, woman, and just pick up your phone and call your alpha! Otherwise, I will press the damn button and blow you up," A man with a very ugly-looking scar on his face said menacingly, holding a time bomb remote control in his hand and shaking it back and forth before a woman. In the last moment of her death, Rose looked into her heart and cried bitterly. "If I had a second chance, Rolan, I would never have agreed to marry you. I would never have had hopes in you." _____ On the day of her sister's wedding, Rose found herself thrust into an unexpected role as the bride when her sister failed to show up. Marrying a man who had loved her sister for three years, Rose held onto the fragile hope that he might one day care for her. But her dreams of love quickly crumbled—he ignored her, treated her coldly, and never gave her the attention she longed for. Even at her lowest, when Rose’s life hung by a thread, he was nowhere to be found, choosing instead to enjoy his time with her sister. Rose’s heart shattered as she took her final breath, consumed by betrayal and despair. When she opened her eyes again, she was back in her younger self—not before the wedding, but on the very same day she was meant to die. This time, Rose vowed to rewrite her story. She would stop loving him, leave him behind, and refuse to let herself be caught in their web of betrayal again. But the peaceful life Rose planned never came to be. Against all odds, she discovered she was pregnant—carrying his child. Now bound together by this unbreakable link, Rose must face the man she once loved, all while trying to guard her heart. Why is he chasing her now? Why wasn’t he with her sister when she ran away and left him? Why does he seem desperate to win her back when all she wants is to stay far away?

Chapter 1 - Buried memories

"You better stop the fucking prank, woman, and just pick up your phone and call your alpha! Otherwise, I will press the damn button and blow you up," A man with a very ugly-looking scar on his face said menacingly, holding a time bomb remote control in his hand and shaking it back and forth before a woman.

"Please spare me. I'm trying to call him, and it's not going through. Please give me a chance to call him one last time," tears streamed down Rose's face. She begged her captor with fright on her face.

Her body was tired—she was exhausted from fighting and begging for him to let her go. Her husband, her alpha partner, who should have been picking up her calls to come save her, wasn't answering.

"You better be quick, woman. Be quick. This is your last chance I'm giving you to call your alpha," the captor slapped Rose on her face, looking at her with deadly eyes.

He was enraged, as if Rose and her partner were wasting his time.

He was having second thoughts about whether to just kill Rose quickly or wait for her alpha to pick up so he could get some ransom.

His patience was thin, and the danger to Rose's life was growing heavier.

But she got a second chance to try dialing the phone again.

"Yes... thank.... thank you," Rose sobbed, forming a smile that made her look ugly.

It was a bitter smile, and besides, how could she look pretty when she had been crying for 4 to 5 hours, with her makeup ruined and her mascara stained on her face?

"Peep peep. Peep peep." The phone rang as Rose dialed the number. It took twenty seconds, and the phone still hadn't been picked up. The fear in Rose's heart grew. The thought of death was consuming her.

"You got to be messing with me!" the captor roared as he lost it. If he had patience, it was all gone now.

He gave Rose hateful glares, his tone of voice and actions appearing beast-like to her.

"Please. Please, the call has gone through," Rose begged for the last time, with more tears on her cheek. The call had gone through, and she thanked God in her heart.

"What about my sister?" The voice that was familiar to Rose came through the phone. Rose listened to what the voice was saying.

"I don't care about her," another voice, also very familiar, came through the phone. Rose felt her heart light up with hope. The voice was none other than her husband, Rolan.

"Hmmm. If you say you don't care about her, then prove it to me with a kiss."

Very soon, Rose understood why the other voice was familiar—it was none other than her sister, Jennifer. Jennifer's words were shocking to her. She had asked her own husband to kiss her. Rose couldn't bring herself to believe this.

But there was still hope, Rose thought. Even if her sister betrayed her, her husband wouldn't.

"Okay then."

Rolan's words made the last hope Rose had crumble.

Listening to their words, which felt like blades, wasn't what was important. Saving her own life was important.

"Hello, Rolan," Rose grit her teeth and said.

"What is it? Why are you calling me at this damn time?" Rolan's voice cut her sharply. Rose almost flinched at his words, but she did not.

"Rolan, I have been kidnapped. I have a bomb on me. Please save me," Rose finally let out the information, only for Rolan's lack of concern to hit her cold.

"Are you for real?" His voice was reckless, as if he hadn't heard the key information that she was kidnapped and had a bomb on her.

"Your level of craziness has passed its limit, Rose. You would go to any length to get my attention, right?" Rolan's words were mocking. To his belief, Rose was lying and just playing games to seek his attention.

"I'm serious, Rolan! Come save me, I have got a bomb on me," Rose's eyes widened with panic, tears streaking her face as she explained.

"Okay, I'm coming," Rolan accepted. He wanted to see for himself if she had really been kidnapped as she said or if it was all an act.

"Don't go, Rolan," Jennifer's voice from the phone said, stopping Rolan from taking any action to leave the house and find Rose. Rose felt her heart turn cold. Rolan was her last hope of being saved, but her sister was stopping him.

"Sorry, Rose, but I'm not coming."

Rolan's response disappointed her. The call had ended.

"He ended the call... He said...that...he's not coming. Please spare my life."

Rose looked at her captor, begging with desperation in her eyes, but her captor only gave her a slap that echoed in the room.

"You've got to be kidding me, lady. And I thought your husband loved you very much. I was expecting some big cash or something," her captor grimaced, his eyes glaring at her. Rose's body trembled from the slap he gave her.

"You know what, lady? Since my bomb is already on you, why don't we just use it?"

The captor suddenly laughed like a maniac, raising the remote to the bomb in the air.

"No, please... Don't hurt me! Spare me," Rose trembled, shaking her head, believing there was still hope that her captor would change his mind.

"Please don't come any closer, please!"

She begged as her captor started walking toward her.

Before she saw anything clearly, her captor had jumped out of the window. Not long after, the building blew up, and Rose was blown up with it.

In the last moment of her death, Rose looked into her heart and cried bitterly.

"If I had a second chance, Rolan, I would never have agreed to marry you. I would never have had hopes in you."

"I would never have called you first when the kidnapper asked for ransom. But who else could I have asked? My best friend is broke.

If I get a second chance, Rolan, I swear to never give my feelings to you."
