Chapter 8 - Her wicked:2

Jennifer did not hesitate, kicking Tobi again, earning wailings coming from him.

Her heels were very high and pointed, so when she hit him, they poked through his skin, slightly injuring him. Because Tobi was a kid and his skin was very soft, it was very easy for her to hurt him.

Tobi screamed out as Jennifer continued hitting him.

"You disgusting thing," Jennifer cursed, stepping on Tobi's tail. "What are you doing in this mansion? We don't support rogues here. Since when did my darling start doing charity?"

Tobi winced as her heels stepped on his tail. His small body felt so much pain. Darius, in his heart, was wailing with him also.

It hurt a lot as the wicked woman was stepping on him.

Where was his mummy? He needed his mummy to come save him.

"Mummy, help me!" Tobi cried, calling to Rose.

"Now can you... just get out?" Rose begged, glaring at Rolan. "I have eaten as you said, so what are you still doing here? Won't you leave me alone?"

"Hmm, no, I'm not leaving. I haven't had enough looking at you," Rolan chuckled, coming to her and cupping her face. "I missed this pretty face... Tell me, who else have you been showing this pretty face to?"

Rose hissed, hearing his words. "It is none of your business... It is not your right to know, so you better go."

She dismissed, closing her eyes, not wanting to talk about anything else.

Rolan chuckled, playing it cool. He got up from his squatting spot, going to sit in his seat. "You have a lot of secrets that you are keeping from me," he narrowed his eyes, looking at her. "I can see it in your eyes. You really got a lot of secrets."

"Rolan, please stop," Rose mumbled, stopping him. "I have had enough of you talking. Your voice annoys me." Rose rolled her eyes, huffing the air around her.

"Mummy, help!" The voice from outside sounded, the familiarity getting Rose alert. Her heart skipped a beat, having a bad presumption.

Rose struggled in her seat, turning her head to look back and forth from the window. "Tobi, my son Tobi," she cried, her eyes swelling up with tears at the realization that it might be her son.

Tobi was with Zara. Zara was sick. Could Tobi have escaped to come find her?

If Tobi had followed her smell, who was outside the mansion that could hurt him?

Rolan walked to Rose, holding her arms firmly. "What are you talking about?" he questioned, his tone cold and serious. "Why are you so panicked?"

But Rose didn't calm down. Tears were streaming from her eyes.

Her gaze fixed on Rolan. "My son," she mumbled, her body still restless to get off the chair. She needed to go fast. To save her son. That voice. It was her son. She had the feeling it couldn't be a lie. Her son was in danger.

Rose held her, trying to calm her down. "Hey Rose, are you okay?" Her words were not clear to him. Why did she look so anxious?

"Let me go, Rolan… Release me!" Rose snapped at him. "I need to go save him," she yelled.

He dismissed his hands from holding her. "Okay, fine. There you go," he shifted, giving her the will to go.

Rose sprinted out of the room the moment he let her go.

Rolan stood staring at the door. "Who's there outside… Somehow my wolf keeps screaming like it's asking me to go save that person." His eyes narrowed, and he walked out of the door.

"What have you done to my son, Jennifer?"

Rose ran, pushing Jennifer aside. Immediately, she held Tobi's wolf form in her arms. Tobi was covered in blood.

He had experienced something terrible.

Jennifer was a monster for what she did.

"Tobi, are you okay?" Rose asked, rubbing his head as he transformed into his human form.

"Mummy, I'm fine," Tobi said, but Rose used her palm to cover his mouth, stopping him from saying anything else.

No, she didn't want Rolan to find out her secret. He shouldn't know that Tobi was his child. Her heart skipped a beat with such thoughts.

Tobi was hurting a lot. Rose didn't want to give Jennifer a look. She would deal with her after treating her son.

"Alpha Rolan, please take me and Tobi to the hospital."

Rolan's expression showed that he had a lot of questions to ask, but he just kept quiet, listening to Rose.

He didn't know why he felt connected to that kid.

Rose placed Tobi gently on the far back seat, entering herself and closing the door. Rolan wanted to get into the driver's seat, but Jennifer held him, her hand clinging to him.

"Rolan, don't go anywhere! Where are you going?" She asked through gritted teeth.

Rose was back. How could she possibly be back? She shouldn't have come back at this time.

Rolan shouldn't remember her.

Rose saw Jennifer stopping Rolan from the car, and her heart skipped a beat.

Rolan, for some reason, was always listening to Jennifer and obedient to her.

Because of his obedience to her, she had died in her last life.

He had listened to her, ignoring Rose.

Would her son be ignored and die the same way she had died in her last life?

"Rolan, please come take us to the hospital," she begged in a muffled voice, biting her lips, looking at him with pleading eyes, tears lingering in the corner of her eyes.

Rolan snapped his head and turned, looking at Rose from the car. He made actions wanting to walk to the car, but Jennifer held him, stopping his movement.

"Where are you going, honey? You can't go to Rose. Leave her there where she is," Jennifer said, smiling at Rolan, then looking at Rose coldly with death glares.

Rose's heart fell. Was this the last chance? All her hope. Nothing should happen to her baby boy.

Rose had enough. There was no one to take them to the hospital, so she would take herself.

With no hesitation, she got up from the back seat, going to the front seat while Rolan stood there for a moment, feeling like he was confused.

Rose drove off with the car, and Rolan was still standing there until the engine had finally faded. Rolan came back to his senses, pushing Jennifer away.

"What has gotten into you, Jenni?" He growled, looking at her with a cold gaze. "That was a little kid. You've got some explaining to do. Tell me what happened right now."

Jennifer, on the floor, bit her lips bitterly, her head staring at the floor, her hair covering her face. Rolan could not see her twisted expression.

He hissed for the last time, calling his men to prepare the car.

"Prepare the car and send me the GPS of the car that she took."

He was going to follow Rose to where she was going with the kid. She had a lot of explaining to do.

The guards obeyed immediately, preparing the car as he had commanded.
