Chapter 19 - 19. Performance

Chapter 19

"Alucard, I presume? A vampire who works for the vile Protestants and kills his own kind?" Anderson spoke first.

- Where is the local vampire? - Alucard asked in response.

- Long dead, he was so boring that there was not even a hint of a fight.

- Is it true?

Communicating in this manner, they began to slowly walk towards each other. After a few seconds, they passed each other, almost touching. Immediately after, they used their weapons simultaneously. Alucard received two bayonets in his neck, while Anderson in turn received a bullet right in the forehead and flew into the wall.

Looking at the priest, it seemed as if he was dead, so Alucard headed straight towards me, pulling the consecrated bayonets out of his neck along the way.

- I must admit, it hurts quite a bit. Bayonets made of blessed silver, they will kill most vampires. Even we can be harmed by it.

As soon as Alucard finished speaking, he felt movement behind him.

- What? - the vampire was surprised, dodging to the side, barely avoiding the cutting blow.

After dodging, Alucard turned around and fired three shots into Anderson's torso. The priest began to fall, but his hands remained firmly planted on the floor. Grinning madly, he rushed towards Alucard again, dodging most of the bullets.

He reached Alucard's position almost instantly and pinned his hands to the wall with bayonets.

While the man managed to hold him down, the vampire noticed where the bullet wounds should have been; instead of blood, smoke was coming from them, and the wounds were rapidly closing.

- Regenerator?

- That's right! This modification was developed and improved through many experiments to destroy you and your kind!

As Anderson spoke, he pierced Alucard's torso with multiple bayonets, which covered the wall behind him with a huge amount of blood. Then Anderson, laughing madly and leaning back slightly, in one swift motion tore Alucard's head off, throwing it to the floor.

- And this is the secret weapon of the royal Protestant knights? How pathetic! - then he turns around, but sees no one.

- Hmm... the vampire is still able to move even after such wounds. Perhaps I underestimated her. - Anderson said, adjusting his glasses, which seemed to glow in the moonlight.

In another corridor on the second floor, I walked slowly along the wall, leaving a trail of blood.

"Damn, that hurts! Why won't the wounds close?" I thought, hearing the steps of the priest following me.

A moment later, a dark spot flies past me and crashes into the wall. Looking closer, it became obvious to me that it was Alucard's head, pinned to the wall with a bayonet.

- Mas... Master? - I said, barely holding back my laughter, but still trying to play the role.

"This dramatic death scene is so funny! On the other hand, if he really died like that, then he wouldn't be worthy of being my master.

"It's no use running, vile creature," Anderson said, then paused and continued.

- Dust to dust. For dust you are and to dust you will return.

- AMEN! - the priest shouts, pulling out more bayonets from nowhere. Seeing that the girl simply looks at his words with a strange expression on her face, Anderson speaks again in a condescending tone.

- What's with the look, girl? Too scared to even try to run away?

- Pffff! Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! How funny! - I laughed hysterically.

"How sad. That vile creature has gone mad," Anderson said, his voice full of disappointment.

- Hahaha… haha. Oh my god, I'm sorry I reacted the wrong way… It was just too funny. – I said with a smile when I finished laughing.

"What?" Anderson asked, confused.

- Oh, nothing. I just wonder what she would look like if she saw what you were doing in the name of her creator. I'm sure it would be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. - I said mysteriously, remembering the woman I met after death. Having an invitation to visit her at the bar, she managed to share with me a rather funny moment. She is basically an angel that God created.

While I was speaking, I managed to pull the bayonet out of the master's head and, naturally, privatize it.

- Who are you talking about? - Anderson shouted.

- Oh! It doesn't matter, you won't recognize her anyway. - I continued to smile and took Alucard's head in my hands.

- Prepare to die, vampire! - said the priest, throwing bayonets at me.

- Not today, old man! - I answered, took a pistol from space and fired right at the bayonet flying at me.

- What?!

- Sorry, dude! I won't let you hit me with those things again, they hurt too much! - I replied and stuck my tongue out and ran away.

- You! Abomination! I will stab you and leave your corpse for the birds!

- Ha-ha-ha, are you out of Bible verses? That didn't sound very churchy.

"Shut up!" the man shouted, rushing towards me.

- Haha, you can't even talk to a girl half your age. Are you really that lost without your precious book? Pathetic!

- Shut up, you Protestant whore! - Anderson said, seeing that I had pulled out my weapon in a dead end.

- Ooo! How original! Using insults when you can't respond normally. Who taught you that? The Vatican?

- It doesn't matter anymore. You're at a dead end and soon you'll die just like your precious master! - said the priest, preparing to strike.

"I don't think so, father," I said, smirking as I looked into his eyes.

As he was about to answer, he heard a click and immediately turned around just in time to block the bullets with his bayonets, which then disintegrated.

- This girl is mine! Father Anderson. - a female voice rang out.
