Chapter 20 - 20. Integra's Concerns.

Chapter 20

- I love you too, Sir Integra! - I shouted, jumping up and down happily.

"Shut up, Seras!" Integra barked.

- Wow, never expected to see a general on the front lines. Isn't that right, the leader of the Royal Protestant Knights? Integra Van Hellsing?

- Father Anderson! You have grossly violated the agreement between our organizations! Leave immediately before things get worse for you.

Anderson laughed at Integra's words and a moment later he was next to the head of Hellsing. In a second, her bodyguards lost their heads, however, when he tried to strike Integra. She managed to pull out her sword and blocked the blow with amazing skill.

- I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm just doing my job here. Killing vampires, werewolves, and even leprechauns. I haven't actually found any, but do you think if I cut one open with my knife, Lucky charms would spill out?

- Shut up. Where the hell is Alucard?

- Oh, sorry, I think I cut off the head of your valuable killer!

- Oh! Cut off the head? Well, that's the first step, what about the second? The tenth? - Integra grinned.

"Oh my God!" Anderson exclaimed.

And his surprise is understandable, because as soon as Integra finished speaking, a flock of black bats burst into the building through the windows and created a black whirlpool right behind him, slowly taking on a humanoid form.

- Don't think that you are dealing with some run-of-the-mill vampire, such techniques will never kill him. Like you, he is a product of the Hellsing family's research into fighting monsters. We spent over 100 years creating him. - Integra said, and then paused dramatically.

- Vampire, Alucard!

As soon as Integra finished speaking, Alucard appeared completely without his hat and glasses.

- How did you, you bloody Protestant bloodsucker, do this?

- Go fuck yourself, that's how.

- You know what? I've had enough! Go to hell, you filthy pagans! - the priest yelled before disappearing surrounded by parchment papers.

- Well, that's the end of the show, - I said, walking towards Integra with Alucard.

- So his name is Father Anderson? It's been a long time since I had my head cut off. - The vampire smirked.

- A border skirmish that violated the terms of our agreement. Attacking key participants and ultimately killing said participants. - Integra paused briefly, exhaling a puff of smoke.

"It looks like the Vatican owes us," she said with a grin.

- Um, Sir Integra? - I called, trying to breathe through my mouth, because now in a calm environment, all this disgusting smell of the beginning to decompose entrails that covered me from head to toe reached me.

- What? - the woman answered sullenly, without even looking in my direction.

"Do you know if there is a shower in this place?" I asked awkwardly.

"Why do you need a shower?" Integra asked angrily, turning to me.

- What the hell?! Oh my god! Seras! Are you in pain? You look terrible! - the woman said worriedly, approaching me.

- It hurts… Ah! Hahaha, no, I'm fine. Most of it isn't even my blood. - I answered Integra, laughing.

- Oh? Okay then. Yes, there is a bathroom with a shower. Go outside and find Walter. He will prepare a change of clothes and a towel for you. - they answered me with relief in their voice.

"Yes sir!" I saluted before running out into the street.

- Haa. - Integra sighed tiredly.

- You look tired, Integra. Is something wrong?

- Yes, I have a crazy vampire who is attached to me. I have a girlfriend who is covered in blood from head to toe every time she goes on a mission. I have the 13th section of the Vatican up my ass. And finally, on September 3rd, there will be a round table in my mansion. Wouldn't you get tired of that?

- Oh! A round table? I see. How fun!

- What's so "fun" about this?! A bunch of dried-up old misogynists who constantly blame me for things I can't control! Old bastards! - Integra screamed.

- Hahahahahaha! - Alucard laughed.

- And anyway, how was Seras? She looked... terrible.

- She performed magnificently! Almost perfectly. - Alucard said happily.

- Really? Then why was she all wounded and covered in blood? Was she hurt by the ghouls?

- No, about 98% of that blood came from the ghouls, and the rest came from Father Anderson piercing her with his blessed bayonets.

- These things hurt her?! She must be in incredible pain, Alucard!

- Yes, that's true, but she decided not to show it in front of you, she doesn't want you to think that she's weak. - Alucard said cheerfully.

- This stupid girl! - Integra got angry, clenching her fists.

- Yes, she is stupid, but I like this kind of stupidity. It means that she is not weak and can stand up for herself.

- Okay, I guess she's ready for solo missions now?

- She could have done it earlier, but I guess you just wanted to make sure.

- Yes, I thought she couldn't handle it. But I guess I was wrong.

While Integra and Alucard were chatting, I went outside and saw almost the entire Hellsing force, who were in a tense state. Honestly, I didn't want to see them right now, but I had no choice but to frown and head towards Walter. As I walked, all the soldiers parted and I swear some of them even squealed like little schoolgirls.

"Damn crybabies," I thought as I approached Walter.

- Walter, do you have a towel and a change of clothes? This uniform is a little dirty and I want to take a shower.

- Seras? Oh my God! What happened?! Are you hurt?!" Walter screamed.

- Pfft! Ha-ha-ha-ha! How funny, oh! Thanks for worrying, Walter. I'm fine. Sir Integra said the same thing when she saw me. - I laughed.

- Really? Well, that's really funny. Anyway, I have a towel and a change of clothes. Do you want me to carry them for you? If you carry them, they might get dirty. - Walter asked, looking at my hands.

- Huh? I somehow didn't think about it. Thank you Walter, you really are a good person. - I smiled.

Hearing my words, Walter was shocked and a shadow seemed to fall on his face before he smiled as if nothing had happened.
