Chereads / The Rise of Victoria Seras / Chapter 22 - 22. Walk with Alucard

Chapter 22 - 22. Walk with Alucard

Chapter 22

After we landed at the mansion, I suddenly remembered one important thing.

- Listen, Walter?

- What is it, Seras?

- Do I get paid or something? I'm bored sitting in the basement every night and I want to go out for a walk. Is that possible?

- Hm. That's a good question. According to the records, you're dead. So we can't give you a normal salary. Basically, we pay you with housing, food, and protection.

"I see," I answered, upset.

- Now, now Seras, don't be upset, it's not like we can't give you money to buy something. You're still a teenager and I understand why you'd be bored doing nothing at night. - Walter said understandingly.

- So? - I asked excitedly.

"Let me ask Sir Integra, I need her permission," Walter said as he left.

- Good! - I said happily, running off to bed.

A couple of hours later, Walter knocked on the door of Integra's office with a tray of tea and snacks before entering.

He set down a tray and served incredibly expensive tea, which he had brewed personally.

- Sir Integra, are you sure you don't want to sleep? You haven't slept since yesterday morning, and it's already noon. You should rest. - Walter said worriedly.

- Don't worry Walter, I'm almost done anyway. Sometimes I feel like a vampire: I go to bed during the day and don't sleep all night. - She laughed, signing another paper.

- Ah. Speaking of the vampire, Seras asked me if she could get some money to go out tonight.

- Take a walk? That is, drink human blood? - Integra asked coldly.

- Of course not, sir, she just wants to go shopping and just hang out somewhere. After all, she's only 19, she's a teenager. - Walter quickly answered to dispel Integra's doubts.

- Shopping and partying? Who does she hang out with?

- I don't know, sir, it could be Alucard.

After a few seconds, they suddenly started laughing as if it was a very funny joke.

- I admit it, after all, it was because of us that she lost her former life.

- Okay, I'll tell her tomorrow, sir. Is there anything else you want me to do before you go to bed?

- No, you can go, Walter.

"Good night, ma'am," Walter said, bowing before leaving.

The next day at about 7:00 pm Walter came to wake me up.

- Seras? Get up. Sir Integra let you go out and gave you some money so you could have some fun.

- Really?! Thank you, Walter! - I happily jumped out of bed and hugged him.

- Ow! Seras, that hurts. - Walter croaked.

- Sorry, I'm so happy! I'll change now!

- Heh heh, she looks happy. I wonder who she took with her?

"Isn't it obvious?" Alucard replied.

- Wait... so it's really you?

- Of course, who else could it be? The soldiers who fear and hate her? Her boss, who is too busy to even sleep? Or maybe the butler who is always by her boss's side? Who else is left besides me, a vampire with too much time on his hands?

- Really? What are you even going to do?

- I don't know, but the girl said it would be fun.

- Isn't your definition of fun a bloodbath?

- Indeed, that is why I am so intrigued by how this evening will go.

- I think she just wants to spend the night like a human, Alucard.

- We'll see, Walter.

After some time, I returned dressed in civilian clothes. I was wearing black jeans, a red T-shirt, over which I put on a loose black shirt and red sneakers to match the T-shirt. I didn't use any makeup, and I simply didn't have any accessories. And I didn't need all that. If there's one thing I'm confident in, it's my natural beauty, although I think I wouldn't mind reducing my breasts to at least a size 3.

- Whew. You look sassy, police girl! - Alucard said, whistling.

- Really? And what will you wear, master?

- The same as always.

- What?

- Hahaha, I'm just kidding, police girl. I'm wearing this. - Alucard said, starting to transform.

His clothes took on some kind of viscous form and began to move slowly over his body. When the transformation was complete, he looked about the same as when he went to Brazil. He was dressed in a black suit with a red shirt and a black tie. As usual, he had white gloves with a red seal on his hands, and black shoes on his feet and, naturally, his favorite glasses with red lenses. The only difference from the image in Brazil was his hair, it was much shorter.

- What should I call you? Mister Brannon? - I joked.

- What?

"You'll see in a few weeks," I answered mysteriously.

After we left the mansion, we were met by a taxi, and after getting into it, I immediately told the driver to take us to the cinema.

"Are we going to watch a movie, policewoman?" Alucard asked in a disappointed tone.

- For starters, yes! I'm sure you'll like what you see, Master!

- Great.

Half an hour later, we finally arrived, and I, as if by accident, led Alucard to one of the posters in the theater, which he was shocked to see.

"The Rise of Dracula! Now in theaters!" - the poster showed a very ugly old vampire man with wings and in a typical old-fashioned suit.

- Pffff! Ha-ha-ha-ha! Funny! Really? Do you want to see it, Master? I heard this movie is pretty good. - I laughed hysterically looking at Alucard's face.

- What?! Who dares to do such nonsense?! I'll kill them! - he screamed at the top of his voice, while an incredible pressure could be felt around him.

- Calm down! It's just a movie, no one believes it anyway. I just wanted to see your reaction before we go to the real place. Hahahaha. - I said before laughing again.

- Okay, okay! Don't be angry, Master! The real place is literally right next door, I just wanted to have some fun. - I said, pointing to the bar, which was almost empty.

- What's there?

- It's a pub. It's a place where people go to drink alcohol and watch TV.

- Can't this be done at home?

- You can, but it's better to do it with others than alone. After all, drinking alone breeds loneliness. - I said, exhaling at the end, and Alucard looked at me with eyes full of anger.

"Isn't that true, Master? You always seemed lonely." I asked as innocently as possible.

- It doesn't matter! Why are we here?

"Well, I thought that before we went to the next place we could have a drink together," I answered sheepishly.

After a few hours, we drank an incredible amount of alcohol, attracting strange looks.

- Damn it, policewoman, I'm tired of waiting! Why are we still here? - Alucard said looking at the people around him and at that very moment a man dressed in a dark blue suit and with a headband on which a golden eye looking up was painted entered the bar.

"Here, Master, look. This is Jan Wallenstein, the youngest of the Wallenstein brothers. The vampires who are supposed to come on the 3rd to try to kill you."

"He looks incredibly weak."

"That's because it is. Even I can easily defeat him, but his brother is a different matter."

"Yeah? Sounds like a worthy opponent, where is he?" Alucard asked curiously.

"I don't think he'll show up, the older brother is not only stronger but also plays the role of the brain, and Yang is like an ordinary henchman who just enjoys death and torture!

"He's leaving with a man, are we going to follow him?"

"Nope! We have more important things to do, let's go."

- Where are we going, policewoman?

- Master? Have you ever heard of golf? - I turned to Alucard and smiled.

At about 3am, we finally returned to the estate gates, where a couple of soldiers were guarding the area.

- Hahahaha, did you have fun tonight, master?

- I don't know, but it did make me a little more interested in going out again in the future.

- I'll just take that as a yes. If you didn't like it, you wouldn't want to do it again, right?

- I think you're right. This mini golf is complicated.

- Yeah, it was pretty funny to see people's faces when you used your powers to cheat. - I chuckled.

- Don't remind me of that, policewoman. You play this game too well. - Alucard winced at how badly he lost to me.

- Hahaha, finally there is at least one thing I am better at than you. I had a lot of fun tonight, Master! Thank you for coming with me! - I said, smiling happily.

As we approached the gate, a soldier immediately approached us.

"Hey you two, stop right here. This is private property and I'm going to have to ask you to leave before you get hurt." He said, holding his gun at the ready.

At his words, Alucard and I stopped and looked at him like he was an idiot. However, since we didn't leave, another soldier came up.

- Listen to my colleague, these are real guns with real bullets, we don't want to hurt you. So get lost! - he said condescendingly, looking at us.

Alucard and I looked at each other with a creepy grin and soon laughed almost identically, the only difference being in the tone of our voices.

- What a wonderful end to the night, I'll choose the right one. Policewoman, your left one. - Alucard said smiling.

- Don't hurt him too much, Master! Otherwise, Sir Integra will get angry! - I said, approaching the guy who was staring at my chest.

- What the hell? Mike, let's fire a couple warning shots and they'll run away with their tails between their legs. - said my victim and pulled the trigger.

Shots rang out, and I immediately waved my right hand to catch the fired bullets, then clenched my fist a moment later and dropped the compressed mass of bullets onto the ground.

- What the hell?! - the man screamed before losing sight of me and feeling pain in his legs, he lost consciousness.

- Really? He passed out because of broken legs? What a weakling. - I complained before looking at my Master, who ripped off the guy's arm and threw it to the ground.

- I told you not to hit too hard! Sir Integra will yell at us now! - I started scolding Alucard. Honestly, I couldn't even dream of us having such a family relationship before.

And as I expected, from dawn Integra screamed at us for 4 hours straight, forcing us to kneel.
