Chapter 17
The next day, Integra received word that there had been a major ghoul infestation at an old estate in Bedrick, Northern Ireland. She immediately ordered Walter to bring Alucard and Seras.
As Walter went downstairs, he heard Alucard's slightly surprised voice.
- So, Walter. Where are the girl and I headed now?
"Bedrick, Ireland," Walter said as he approached the door.
Opening the door, he saw Alucard's thoughtful face and Seras sleeping. Sighing to himself, he began to clean up the mess she had made.
- She makes less and less of a mess every night. I hope she won't be like you, Alucard, doing nothing day and night.
"Those weren't particularly nice words, Walter," Alucard said.
- But it's true, isn't it, vampire?
After answering Alucard, he walked over to the bed and started waking me up.
- Seras? We have a task for you and Alucard. If you don't get up now, we'll have to leave you behind. - Seeing how reluctantly I woke up, he sighed heavily.
- Seriously? Wait, give me literally 2 minutes and I'll be ready Walter! - I immediately jumped up and left the room to get myself ready and change.
A few minutes later, I walked into Sir Integra's office. And again, last.
- Seras, you made it, I was starting to worry that you'd be late. - Integra said, exhaling a puff of smoke.
"But I've never been late, Sir Integra!" I said indignantly.
- Then why do you always come later than Alucard? He came about 2-3 minutes ago. - Integra said, barely holding back her laughter.
- That's because the owner doesn't do anything before teleporting here, and I need to change clothes, brush my teeth and comb my hair. I'm already pretty fast, doing all of that in almost 2 minutes!
- No excuses, policewoman! You're the last one here, which means you have no excuses. - Integra shouts.
"Great," I said before falling silent, bowing my head.
- Let's move on! There was an incident in Northern Ireland. It's in a city called Bedrick. According to our information, something like a ghoul invasion happened there. - Integra says, still holding back her laughter after mocking me.
- Ahem, in any case. I'm sending you both to deal with this quickly and without problems. Is that clear?!
- Yes sir!
- My lady.
Alucard and I said at the same time before leaving the office, leaving Walter and Integra alone.
When the master and I got into the helicopter, it immediately took off. However, once inside, I realized that one of the two soldiers flying with us was looking at me with eyes full of horror.
"Master, why is he looking at me like that?"
"I think it's because of how you handled your last mission. Even I have to admit, you looked pretty good, all covered in blood and brain matter."
"Is it true?"
"Yes. Otherwise, why else do you think these people would show fear in front of a little girl?"
After a few minutes, without receiving an answer, Alucard tilted his head in my direction with disdain, doubting whether his chick regretted that wonderful sight. However, looking at my face, he laughed.
"He called me beautiful! Oh my God! I wonder if I do something else this time, will he like it even more?" I thought, blushing like a little girl.
Lost in my thoughts, I didn't realize that due to the fusion with the past Seras, my admiration for Alucard was somehow crazy, although there was not even a hint of desire for a closer attachment. In fact, this is how time passed until arriving in a small town.
- Officer Victoria. This is your weapon. - said the soldier and handed me his load and quickly ran away.
This time I was given two pistols. Both pistols were Glock 17. I was also given 6 already loaded magazines to help me defeat the ghouls faster.
- Let's go, policewoman! I don't want to delay any longer in finding out the truth of your words. - Alucard said and, lifting me up like a kitten, teleported to the entrance of the building.
After we left, the soldier who was not afraid asked another.
- Hey John, why are you so scared, the guy didn't look that ugly. - George asked confused.
"I wasn't afraid of him, idiot," John replied.
- Stop, stop, stop! So you're scared of this beauty? - George asked in surprise.
- You weren't there George! She may look like a girl, but inside she's a monster! - John says, shaking with horror.
- Dude! You look like you're about to pee yourself! - George laughed.
- Let's see what you think when she comes back! You'll soon see what I mean.
Right after we moved, we found ourselves in front of a mansion from which groans and screams were coming. And I landed on my butt because I was suddenly released.
- This is unfair, Master! When will I be able to move like this!?
- It comes with time and strength, policewoman. Besides, you have your own teleportation.
"But I can't show it to others. Can't you just tell me how to do it?" I complained as I entered the room.
"If everything you said last night turns out to be true, I'll think about it," Alucard said, following me.
- You'll see soon, master! In any case, do you want to take part in this killing festival? - I said, taking out two pistols.
- I'll wait. Show me some of that shooting you practice every night, police girl.
"Yes, my master!" I said before closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. After taking a deep breath, I opened my eyes, revealing red pupils. A few seconds later, groups of dead people began to emerge from various rooms on the first floor.
"Hmm, there seem to be a little more of them than I thought. There are 40 of them on the first floor alone."
- Just look master, the first floor will be ready in less than 10 seconds. - I said turning to Alucard.
- Do you want me to time it? - Alucard offers, grinning.
- If it makes you happier! - Having said this, I turned around sharply and fired from both pistols, hitting two ghouls in the head. While they were dissolving, the bullet that flew out of the right pistol flew through the head and hit the heart of another ghoul.
- 1… - Alucard began to count.
Turning to the right, I killed two more ghouls that were stumbling toward me. I hit one in the head and the other in the heart. Then I ran forward, firing more bullets, hitting each zombie. With 17 bullets in the magazine plus one in the chamber of the Glock, I hit 37 ghouls with 36 bullets.
- 3…
"Damn! I could have done it in less than 5 seconds if I didn't have to reload this stupid gun." I thought looking at the last three ghouls while the rest around me dissolved into dust. As soon as I finished reloading I heard Alucard's voice.
- 5…
- Damn! Stupid reload! - I screamed, killing the rest.
- It took you 6 seconds to kill 40 ghouls, Seras, that's impressive. - Alucard said clapping his hands.
"Do you really think so, Master?" I said, a little upset.
- What's the matter? You look disappointed?
- I know I said it in less than 10 seconds, but I really wanted to do it in 5. It pisses me off that I was 2 seconds late. - My eyes even started to water from disappointment.
- It's okay, you're just weak right now Seras. I'm sure once you drink a normal amount of blood, it will be easy for you to do it in less than 3 seconds, let alone 5. - Alucard said comfortingly.
- Do you really think so!? – I asked hopefully.
- I know. Now let's go up to the second floor and this time don't use weapons. I want you to use your bare hands. There's nothing better than tearing ghouls apart with your bare hands. - The vampire said with a crazy smile.
- Fine!
On the third floor, a large dark figure sits on a bed reading what looks like a very old bible. He has a thin but very strong body, and his glasses reflect the moonlight coming through the window.
- A bunch of freaks! - says the man, hearing the vampires talking.
