Chapter 32 - Mr. and Mrs.

The time passed quickly; before he realized it, it was already time for lunch. It had been three hours since Noah had instructed Olivia to print out some paperwork and send it to his office. His disappointment was that there were no documents; he had not expected her to oppose him so quickly. With a sigh, he rose from his seat. After removing his jacket from the hanger and putting it on, he adjusted his tie and collar before grabbing his phone from the table and leaving his office.

After walking toward her office, he stopped at the entrance, unable to believe what he saw. His personal assistant was dozing off right in front of his eyes. Unfortunately for Noah, she appeared serene and stunned during her sleep, and it was impossible to ignore her presence.

Noah made his way to her desk deliberately and slowly. Then, after walking around the desk, he squatted down next to her. Noah observed how the strands of her curly hair moved as she fanned at them with her short breaths. A few strands of hair obscured her face, and she observed how they moved. However, she abruptly stood up and pushed her chair back, prompting Noah to hurl insults before retreating from her. He gently grabbed her face, but she prevented him from doing so.

"What are you doing?" While she was struggling to catch her breath, he cleared his throat and stared at her with a blank expression. How could he possibly be thinking that? He was critical of himself.

He pretended to adjust his tie while saying, "I'm looking for my documents."

With a focused gaze, Olivia looked at him. "Looking for documents?" "Are you looking for documents?" she asked, struggling to keep her hair out of her face.

"Yes." His tone was direct, and he cleared his throat before glancing away from her. He was not staring at her. "I requested that you print out the documents three hours ago." "Documents?" She asked once more.

"That's what I said." As his patience dwindled, he clenched his teeth. Why is she so resistant to letting go? As he pondered.

"On my face?" She asked.

There was no mistaking the knowing grin on her face when he looked at her. His eyes shot up, and he gazed at her. "Meet me downstairs in five minutes." He then exited her office after delivering the command.

Olivia arrived at the office wearing a jacket and short black heels that she had removed. She had decided to wear a white dress like the blue one that she had worn the day before, along with a jacket that matched. Following her departure from her office, she retrieved her phone and bags and then proceeded to meet up with Noah on the ground level.

During Noah's conversation with the secretaries, they nodded and said, "Yes, sir," whenever they heard him. Olivia approached them with a confused expression, and Noah heaved a sigh as he observed her standing close to the desk.

"Ladies." A slight nod was her way of greeting me.

"Hi, Livvy!" When all three of them welcomed each other simultaneously, Olivia made a visible shudder.

"Livvy, you look ravishing today. What's the occasion?" Chloe inquired with an air of phony eagerness.

Noah did it before Olivia could respond with the sour comment, she was certain to have. Olivia was sure to have a response. "I'm taking her out for lunch." He added with a sneer on his face, and then the two of them strolled outside, maintaining their distance.

"Where to?" When Olivia felt anxious, she would bite her lower lip and ask questions.

After clearing his throat, Noah gestured to the right side of his body. "That way, it's a short walk from here." As soon as he stated it, they decided to begin walking down the street. Until Noah chose to break the stillness, they strolled in silence. "Headache?" He asked...

"Is that my new name?" Her response was impolite.

Suddenly, a grin appeared on his face, and he moved quickly to position himself in front of her, obstructing her path. She sighed, placing her hands on her waist.

"Consuming a large amount of coffee is the most effective method for relieving headaches, precisely the kind you have. My recommendation is to drink black coffee." He made this recommendation while walking backwards, his hands tucked into his pockets.

Olivia firmly declared, "I don't drink coffee."

"It works well for your specific type of headache." He made a shrug.

As she moved past him, Olivia rolled her eyes. "Are you seriously advising me on how to get rid of you?" As he caught up to her, she gave him a sly grin.

"You will not get rid of me that easily, darling." I said it with pride. "I am a ladies' man."

"What will it take for you to shut your mouth?" In an irritated manner, Olivia inquired, and Noah smiled. Not only was she a tough one, but she was constantly bombarding him with questions.

"Well, how would you shut your boyfriend up?" It was a humorous question.

He came dangerously close to colliding with her when she abruptly spun around. "Would you like to know?" While chewing her bottom lip, she asked in a sexy manner. They got closer, with their faces coming within a few inches of one another. While he was lowering his head to meet her lips, she resisted the kiss and muttered something in his ear instead. "I don't do boyfriends." After turning around, she walked in front of him.

As he stood there, bewildered, he attempted to mentally digest what had just occurred and what she had stated. Part of him was relieved that she did not have a lover, but what if she remained married? He was perplexed. "Are you coming, Mr. Man?" She halted her movement and yelled; a sneer etched on her face.

"You are standing in the right place, girl!" he yelled loudly as he approached her. Olivia looked at the structure in front of her. Italics adorned a large, bold 'Food Hub!'. On the outside, the eatery was relatively uncomplicated.

If Noah had all the money in the world, Olivia couldn't help but question why he would dine there. On the other hand, she suddenly recalled something interesting: it was the same restaurant she had visited the night she humiliated him. Why in the world would he bring her here? "Shall we?" While reaching out his hand to her, he shook her out of her trance. She considered taking his hand, thinking if this was his revenge plan, it was working.

However, she would not be considered Olivia Miller if she reneged on her challenge. "We shall." After taking each other's hands, they walked into the restaurant together. When Olivia entered the restaurant, she was astonished by how sophisticated the interior looked. The restaurant extensively used black and white, from the tables to the walls and tiles, and suspended exquisite chandeliers from the ceiling. Are you sure that this is how the restaurant appeared the other night? But she was unable to recall it. "This is not quite what I expected." Olivia murmured something in Noah's ear, and when her breath brushed across his skin, it caused his entire body to stiffen. In addition to being aware of what she was doing, she was also mindful of her impact on him. He was in for the most shocking experience of his life if he believed she did not notice the glance he had given her a few minutes ago while they were standing outside the restaurant. Two can play the game. You shouldn't behave in such a manner. I enjoy being in charge of things." Noah struggled against the impulse to release her hand as she maintained her smirk.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Jones." A waitress greeted Noah as he entered the building. "Would you and your wife like a table?" he asked. Noah smiled, and Olivia started to stiffen up. This waiter was new to the establishment and did not know anything about his superiors, so Noah was relieved. Livvy Williams: Two can play the game. The thought struck him with a smug smile.

"We are." Olivia tried to object, but Noah had other plans.

"My wife and I would like a table for two, please." His arm wrapped around her waist, bringing her closer to him. Olivia froze in response to the contact. Noah was able to place her just where he desired her to be.

"This way, sir." The waiter made that statement as he led them to a table. Despite his hand gripping her waist, Noah guided Olivia. At that moment, Olivia clenched her teeth and elbowed him in the ribs, which resulted in his choking. He quickly covered his cough with a giggle.

"Pardon my wife; she's very rough at times." While he was speaking to an elderly couple, Olivia tightened her mouth in response.

"Here's your table. Unfortunately, my shift is over, but I'll send a waitress to take your orders." The server said, "Mr. Jones, it was good to see you again." "Likewise, Kelly." Noah shook his hand.

"Mrs. Jones." After giving Olivia a kind smile and a nod, he walked away from them.

"So, Mrs. Jones?" Noah retrieved a chair for her. Following her snort, she sat down. In a short time, a waitress attended to them, and Olivia vowed right then and there that she was doomed. Noah walked around and took the chair on the opposite side of the table.

"Good afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Jones. Here is the menu. Please let me know as soon as you are ready to order." The waitress spoke as she stood next to Olivia. When she turned around and spotted Olivia, her eyes widened in recognition. She then set the menu down and turned around again.
