Noah invested a substantial amount of money in the strategy he developed. Livvy Williams had registered all three of them with her email address. However, if Noah believed she intended to use his belongings, he was in for a surprise. He had only given her Apple gadgets, which included a laptop, a phone, and a tablet.
Her new phone rang, and Noah's name appeared on the screen. It appears the phone could read her thoughts. If the phone hadn't been so loud and she didn't have a headache, she probably wouldn't have answered it in the first place. Regrettably, the sound of the phone intensified with each passing minute. Olivia moaned and answered the phone with a simple "Yes?"
"Currently, Miss Williams, I am still waiting for my coffee. The coffee I drink is strong, with two sugars and a lot of milk. I enjoy it that way." Afterward, Noah hung up on her. Olivia, muttering a grunt and slamming the phone down on the desk, prayed to every deity she could think of, believing that the bloody coffee maker had broken.
As soon as she arose and left her office, she made her way to the private kitchen. However, her tour guide was so concerned about her health that she was unable to show her around the kitchen. Designed for a single person, the kitchen was significantly smaller than the one downstairs. There was only a pot, a mini water tank, a few mugs, a bar refrigerator, and a few containers of milk, sugar, and coffee. The place's furnishings were modest, not as luxurious as those in the staff kitchen. These were the only items available.
Despite having everything in front of her, she couldn't understand the intended steps or sequence for preparing coffee or any other beverage. Before bringing the coffee, sugar, and milk to a boil, did she first put the coffee in the pot along with the other ingredients? Only God and all the decent people on this earth knew about it. The fact that you had someone to assist you with everything, even the smallest tasks, caused you to forget to do even the most basic things, such as making coffee. Perhaps this is due to the small amount of alcohol present in your system. Olivia silenced the little voice that was reprimanding her. Stop talking! I need time to reflect. She spoke in a hushed tone before giving a sharp snap. She opened the pot, set the lid aside, then opened the coffee container and lifted it over the pot until it was full. While a small voice in the back of her head was telling her not to do it, the evil voice was busy shouting for her to pour the blasted thing in. However, the evil voice that was filling her head with nonsense yelled, "Do it, do it, do it!" Pour the damn thing in! As Olivia groaned in exasperation, he slapped the jar back onto the counter for the second time.
"I am just not doing this." After expressing her opinion, she left the kitchen. A few hours later, she found herself in the kitchen downstairs. It was a challenging voyage because everyone wanted to chat with the legendary Livvy Williams. However, her glares caused people to move aside, and the remainder of her journey to the renowned kitchen was peaceful. She hoped that she would be able to locate ready-made coffee there; she was fairly certain that she had seen a jug when Zara showed her the kitchen about an hour ago. On the other hand, she was dissatisfied when she discovered that the jug was empty. Who drank the gallon of coffee that was so full of flavor? She thought to herself in disgust, and that small voice chimed in once more, saying that only God and all the wonderful residents of planet Earth know all about it!
She was still contemplating various methods to silence that voice while simultaneously thinking about how she could prepare coffee for the man who lived upstairs. At that moment, a man entered the kitchen. What a wonderful human being! Olivia moaned to herself inwardly. Once again, that unpleasant little voice uttered the words, "A good-looking human being is here to make coffee." Given his pleasant demeanor, Olivia couldn't help but agree with him this time. In fact, he represented the epitome of perfection while clothed in a full red suit. Indeed, you need an expertly made red suit, a white shirt, and a black tie. "Great." Olivia didn't realize she had spoken to the other person until she heard a stifled laugh. As she raised her head, she noticed that the red suit was glaring at her.
"I apologize for my rudeness. My name is Jerry, and I'm sure you're new to this place, as I've never seen you before. As the guy put it. He had a body that was both fit and strong, and he stood slightly taller than average. He had dark hair, a beard that was well-shaved, and a flawless face. His appearance was undeniably attractive.
"Livvy. Jerry, it's a pleasure to meet you." Olivia shook his hand as she spoke.
He smiled at her in a cocky manner and then began to grab mugs, sugar, coffee, and milk.
"Livvy, as in the famous new personal assistant?" He posed the question, to which Olivia responded with a sigh and a firm nod. To begin, it is a pleasure to meet you, Livvy. I have a hunch that we are going to become close friends. He said this with a smile on his face, and Olivia gave him a look of disbelief. How are things going for us up there, brother? And she pondered. "I'm making coffee; do you want some?" He added a few spoonfuls of sugar. "Yes, please." There was a sense of relief in Olivia's voice when she spoke.
"How do you like your coffee?" He asked.
As Olivia attempted to recall what Noah had shared with her, she bit the bottom of her upper lip. Her head was pounding, making it difficult for her to think clearly. At that moment, all she could do was wish for Jerry to finish quickly. The information came at the expense of her head.
"Strong, with two sugars and a lot of milk."
"Wow, is that really the case? I enjoy my coffee in the same way as you do." Olivia suppressed a hint of embarrassment as Jerry smiled. "See, we have our coffee alike; we are definitely meant to be friends!" What a sweetheart! I guess that now, since you also drink your coffee in the same way as Noah Jones, you are also destined to be friends with one another. A caustic thought occurred to Olivia. "You know, we should go out for lunch sometime."
"Sure, that would be great." It was a lie.
"All right, come on, my office is right around the corner. Simply request Melly Angelo or James Jerry Peterson. While he was pouring water into the cups, he said.
"Are you saying that once you have added everything else to the cups, you then add water?" That is not difficult at all. Olivia considered this with a gentle smile on her face. Oh, no. What you do is put the coffee in the boiler! The moment May began to sing with amusement, Olivia gave her a stern look and silenced her.
"Melly?" Olivia inquired with a sense of wonder.
"Yes Melly. In addition to being one of my best friends, she is also my coworker!" Regrettably, she is not present at the moment, but her scheduled return is on Monday. He did not hold back his words.
"Melly Angelo, you said?" A calm Olivia inquired, and he nodded in response. "And she's coming back on Monday?" With her eyes narrowed into slits, she asked the question.
"Yes, and yes."
Through the door, Elowen glanced between the two of them. "Jerry, there's a call for you." It was said by her.
"Oh, what? We will put them on hold." Despite his dismissal, she remained silent and crossed her arms.
"He threatened to fire you if you don't return within the next sixty seconds." As she walked away, she yelled over her shoulder, prompting Jerry to immediately stop what he was doing and rush out of the kitchen without offering any explanation. "You would be wise to bring him his coffee before he decides to fire you as well." When May made her statement, Olivia, for once, agreed with her.
After letting out a sigh, Olivia strolled out of the kitchen, grabbed a cup of coffee, and then left. She stopped abruptly and watched as Jerry cheerfully spoke into the phone at the reception counter. She glanced at the coffee she was holding, then shifted her focus back to the kitchen. Finally, she took another look at Jerry before deciding. She made her way back into the kitchen, where she immediately retrieved the second cup of coffee. After that, she hurriedly made her way to the private elevator and climbed inside. Her departure occurred on the final floor, and she proceeded to the kitchen with extreme caution to change the cups. After taking the coffee, she headed to Noah's office and knocked on the door. She then left her own coffee in her office and went to fetch the others. "Come in!" Noah's tone was clear and concise. Following the careful placement of the coffee on the desk, Olivia opened the door and entered the room. She then turned around and walked away. "Took you long enough." After hearing Noah's comment, Olivia decided to turn around and face him. "Why weren't you answering your phone?" He inquired while he was stirring the coffee.
"If whatever it is you wanted was urgent, then you would have sent for me." Once again, she mumbled something before turning her back on him. This time, she managed to reach the door before he could utter another word.
A groan came from Noah as he finished drinking his coffee. "It is a fantastic idea to prepare this every day because it is so good. I would like to have coffee available when I arrive at work in the morning, during lunchtime, and later before we close for the day. As he gorged himself on the coffee, the words spilled out, causing Olivia to halt abruptly. "Wait!" It was at the instant when she turned the doorknob that he yelled. She heaved a sigh and proceeded to tighten her hold on the handle. "Melly has forwarded some documents to your email; please print them out and bring them to my office." Once more, that name...
"Yes, Sir!" She made a mocking comment before hastily exiting his office. Upon entering her office, she promptly covered the coffee and stored it away. After that, she sat down behind her desk and placed her arms on the desk.
"Alright, my office is just a few steps away from here." You need only ask either Melly Angelo or Jerry Peterson. Olivia's mind repeatedly replayed the name, Melly Angelo. What was April's excuse for not warning her about this? Is it because she's a bad person? May offered the suggestion, and Olivia nodded in agreement.
The relationship between Melly Angelo and Olivia dates back to their high school days. Melly was a close friend of both her brother's and Noah Jones's. If it turned out that she was going to return on Monday, there was little doubt that she would break Olivia Miller's secret.
