He reached the city where the others were.
"I think I should spend the night here," Wei said to himself, glancing around the unfamiliar surroundings with a weary look.
"Who are you?" A guard came up to him, eyeing him suspiciously.
"I am a visitor, I want to spend the night in this city," Wei replied, his voice calm despite his inner fatigue.
"Where did you come from?" The guard asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Monsters have attacked the castle near this city's castle. I am a survivor," Wei answered, his tone steady but with a hint of unease.
"Are you the guard?" The guard asked, his expression skeptical.
"No, I am just a Trader, but all my things got ruined with that castle too, I only have some money left, I am seeking refuge for tonight," Wei said, glancing down at the few coins he had left.
"Why are you wearing that mask?" The guard asked, his curiosity piqued.
"The upper side of my face got burnt. That's why I am wearing that mask," Wei answered, briefly touching his mask, his eyes briefly shadowed with the memory of the pain.
"We have to ask our Royal Guard," the guard said, stepping back.
"Ok, I am waiting for you here?" Wei said, crossing his arms, his gaze scanning the area as he waited.
RG Ryu was passing by, looking confident and composed.
"Sir, there is a trader who wants to enter the city, he also said that the neighbor's castle got attacked by monsters and he is the survivor," the guard said to RG Ryu, giving him a respectful nod.
"Let him in," RG Ryu said without hesitation, his voice calm but authoritative.
The guard came back to Wei.
"You can enter," the guard said, nodding curtly.
"Who was he?" Wei asked, his interest piqued as he noticed Ryu's commanding presence.
"He is our Royal Guard," the guard answered.
"Since when?" Wei asked, genuinely surprised by the young age of the guard.
"He has been our Royal Guard for 2 years," the guard answered, his tone respectful.
"He is too young," Wei said, raising an eyebrow, still surprised.
"Yes, but his skills are amazing compared to the other guards," the guard answered with a hint of pride in his voice.
"OK, thank you," Wei said, nodding in appreciation, though still feeling a bit out of place.
"You're Welcome," the guard said, stepping aside.
Wei entered the city, his eyes scanning the surroundings.
"So, clones of people are also here," Wei said to himself, noticing the bustling atmosphere and the occasional faces that seemed oddly familiar.
"Hey, Trader, wait, come here." RG Ryu called out to Wei, his tone authoritative yet calm.
"Yes," Wei respectfully said, turning to face him, his heart quickening slightly.
"You came from the other kingdom, right?" RG Ryu asked, his eyes studying Wei with quiet intensity.
"Yes, but as I told the guard, I am just a trader, so visiting other kingdoms is my job," Wei said, trying to sound as casual as possible, despite the tension in the air.
"What is your name?" RG Ryu asked, his gaze never leaving Wei.
"My name is Yuuki," Wei answered, keeping his voice steady, though his mind raced with thoughts of what to say next.
"What happened there?" RG Ryu asked, his curiosity evident.
"I was in the castle showing off my things for sale then I heard the guard yelling, I went to the castle's roof with the King, but the roof went down, and when I opened my eyes, monsters were attacking the palace. I went away silently after that, a huge and powerful wind came, and the bricks of the castle flew away like cotton. I continued moving forward, and then I reached here," Wei answered, his voice calm but his mind still haunted by the destruction.
"So are you the only survivor?" RG Ryu asked, his eyes narrowing.
"I don't know, the only thing I know is I am alive," Wei answered, his voice quiet, as he didn't want to speak of the horrors he'd witnessed.
"Alright, you can go now," RG Ryu said, nodding curtly.
"Thank you, I need some rest," Wei said, bowing his head slightly.
"You can live here as many days as you want," RG Ryu said, his tone shifting to a more formal one.
"So that means the story Jin told was real, it means The Killer of Our Prince is doing this," RG Ryu muttered to himself after Wei turned to leave.
Wei went away, his steps slow as he thought of his next move.
"So, I first need to get a room to rent. I think the gold coins I got from the castle will help me get a room," Wei said to himself, making his way through the busy city streets.
Wei reached the hotel and approached the receptionist.
"May I help you, sir?" The receptionist asked, looking up from her desk.
"I want a room in my budget," Wei said, his tone calm but firm.
"How many silver coins do you have?" The receptionist asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Uh, I don't have silver coins but I do have gold coins. Would they be enough?" Wei asked, pulling out the gold coins he had taken from the castle.
"2 gold coins would charge for a week," the receptionist said, eyeing the gold coins Wei presented.
"Take 5, if I have to live more days, I will tell," Wei said, handing over the coins, eager to settle in and rest.
"Listen, show sir his room. Thank you, sir," the receptionist said with a smile.
"Come, sir, I will show you your room," a person from the hotel staff said, leading Wei down a hallway.
He took him to a room.
"This is your room, sir," the person said, gesturing to the door.
"Thank you," Wei said, nodding as he stepped inside.
The person left, closing the door behind him. Wei walked into the room, the silence of the place filling his senses.
"Tomorrow, I will go to the monster hunt, this is the only way that I can reach the master of monsters and go to my world," Wei said to himself, his mind focused on the task ahead.
In the castle.
"Jin, you were right. The monsters are attacking the castles," RG Ryu said, his voice filled with a mix of concern and determination.
"So that means they will also attack this castle too," Jin said, his expression hardening.
"Yes. What is that book?" RG Ryu asked, eyeing the book Jin was holding with interest.
"Oh, this is the Weapon's Guide. I just started reading it, but in the Table of Contents, I saw The Sevpons. What is this?" Jin asked, flipping through the pages.
"These are the Sevpons, the most powerful weapons in the entire history," RG Ryu explained, his voice dropping to a low murmur. "There is another book solely about those Sevpons, but it got burnt with the neighbor's castle."
"You mean the castle of our neighbors is now destroyed?" Jin asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.
"Yes. A survivor of that attack is now in our city," RG Ryu said, his gaze narrowing with suspicion.
"So, I have only this book to read about them?" Jin said, glancing down at the pages, frustration flickering in his eyes.
"I only know about two of them. One is Black Fire, the most known, and the other is Shield of the Dragon, but I don't remember their abilities. Maybe this book can shed some light," RG Ryu said, trailing off as he stared at the pages of the book.
"Alright, here," Jin said, flipping to the relevant pages. "The powers of Black Fire are on this page. It can vanish the 130 stars using its powers and can give its user a shield and incredible strength."
"That sounds terrifying," RG Ryu muttered, eyes widening. "Go on."
"Now, on the next page, there is Spikes of Sun. It can make powerful ice spikes and grant its user the strength of 25 elephants. It can also turn the whole planet into ice," Jin continued, his voice full of awe.
"OH, that's ice... I mean, nice," RG Ryu said, his tone both impressed and amused.
"Should I continue?" Jin asked, looking up at RG Ryu for confirmation.
"Yes, sure," RG Ryu replied, eager to learn more.
"The next one is Shield of the Dragon. It can make anything its user wants to create, even a whole planet. The next one is Chains of Venom. Its chain can change size at will, and if the user wants to break something, it can change the color of the blade. When the blade color changes, it can turn anything to ashes and give its user the strength of 125 elephants."
"That's... unsettling," RG Ryu commented, frowning at the mention of turning things to ashes. "Go on."
"Now, the next one is Sea of the Wind. It can make wind blasts and control the wind as the user wishes. It can also cut through many things and allows its user to fly," Jin read, a bit more relaxed now, impressed by the versatility of these powers.
"The next one is Two-Faced Death," Jin continued, turning the page. "It can emit both fire and water under immense pressure. It—What?" He stopped abruptly, frowning as he turned the page again. "The next four pages are missing."
"What?" RG Ryu asked, leaning forward, his brow furrowing in concern.
"Aah, I was so excited about that one! And the last Sevpon is also missing," Jin exclaimed, frustrated as he examined the empty pages.
"But who would do that?" RG Ryu asked, his voice full of disbelief. "These pages must have been torn out deliberately."
"When I took that book, it was dirty—like no one had touched it for years," Jin said, his tone suspicious. "Could it be that someone has been trying to keep the Sevpons hidden?"
"I don't know, but it seems that the neighbor's castle got attacked by the Sea of Wind. The trader told us that the castle's bricks flew like cotton. It looks like the controller of monsters wants the Sevpons now, and he might have taken one of them," RG Ryu speculated, his voice growing more serious.
"I think I saw some of them, but I will tell you about them after you help me find my friend," Jin said, his tone suddenly urgent.
"Okay, I will help you find your friend," RG Ryu said, his expression turning resolute.
