Chapter 12 - Mirror Of Trials

G Tony wandered through the bustling market, his attention caught by a familiar figure holding a Chain Blade. "Hey, don't you know weapons are not allowed in this city?" he called out, his voice firm.

Tony, startled, turned toward him. "OOH, I didn't know that. I was just on my way to keep this weapon at home," he replied, trying to sound casual.

G Tony narrowed his eyes. "Why are you wearing a mask?" he asked suspiciously.

Tony hesitated. "I'll tell you later. Goodbye," he said quickly, attempting to leave.

But G Tony stepped in his path, his stance unyielding. "Remove your mask if you're not an intruder," he demanded.

"I can't remove my mask," Tony said, his voice firm but uneasy.

G Tony's tone hardened. "I said remove it, or I'll do it myself. And if I do, I'll take your weapon too."

Tony raised his hands slightly in protest. "I don't want to fight," he said calmly.

"Then remove your mask. This is my last warning," G Tony replied, his voice edged with authority.

Tony sighed, his resolve clear. "Okay then. Try it."

G Tony's expression darkened. "So, you are an intruder," he concluded.

"OH NO," Tony muttered under his breath, knowing the situation was about to escalate.

G Tony unsheathed his scythe and lunged forward. Tony swiftly drew his Chain Blade, blocking G Tony's attack with the chain. G Tony struck again, but Tony deflected it, matching him move for move.

Tony then threw the Chain Blade in G Tony's direction. Anticipating the move, G Tony leaped into the air, swinging his scythe to intercept the chain. The two weapons tangled, and Tony yanked the chain, pulling G Tony toward him. As G Tony stumbled forward, Tony landed a solid punch to his face.

Before Tony could recover, guards surrounded him from all sides, their weapons drawn. He tensed as they restrained him and tore off his mask.

"I knew you were an intruder," G Tony said triumphantly. "Take him to prison. I'm confiscating this weapon."

G Tony reached the obstacle course test site, where Jin and RG Ryu were trying to complete it.

"Ryu, I captured an intruder," G Tony said, his tone firm.

"What?" Jin and Ryu turned toward him, startled.

"We should go and check," Jin said quickly, concern crossing his face.

"You're right," RG Ryu agreed, nodding.

(They went to the prison. Jin's eyes widened as he saw Tony hanging from chains, unconscious from his injuries.)

"Is he unconscious?" Jin asked, stepping closer, his brows furrowed.

"Did he say something?" RG Ryu questioned, his tone sharp but curious.

"He even got unconscious but didn't say anything," G Tony replied, shaking his head.

RG Ryu's eyes narrowed. "It must be the work of that Sevpon collector. When they learned we have one Sevpon, they must have sent someone with my brother's face."

"Should we wake him up?" G Tony asked, glancing at the unconscious figure.

"No," Jin said firmly, folding his arms. "Let him sleep. When he gets up, he'll have the energy we need for further questioning."

"You're right, Jin," RG Ryu said after a moment, his expression softening slightly. "Let's go now."

At night, their castle was suddenly attacked by monsters.

"Jin, go and protect the princess, I'll hold them back!" RG Ryu shouted, gripping his weapon tightly.

"Alright, I'm going to the princess!" Jin replied, his voice resolute as he turned and ran toward the inner chambers.

(Jin diverted to the prison first, glancing at Tony chained and wounded. Without hesitation, he freed him.)

"Come on," Jin whispered urgently, helping Tony up. "This way."

He guided Tony through the secret passage out of the castle before rushing toward the princess's quarters. Meanwhile, RG Ryu faced the advancing monsters.

He tried to use the Nunchaku, but it felt lifeless in his hands. Frustrated, he tossed it aside and fought with raw combat skills, landing blows with precision. Despite his efforts, the monsters overwhelmed the guards, and the castle began to fall into chaos.

Suddenly, Jin emerged, wielding his Knife with unparalleled skill. A surge of water erupted from the blade, cutting through the monsters like a torrent of fury. Their bodies were torn apart by the sheer pressure of the water, and Jin stood victorious amidst the carnage.

"The Sevpon…" RG Ryu said, his eyes narrowing as he approached.

"Two-Faced Death," Jin replied, catching his breath.

RG Ryu's expression hardened. "That's why you said you've seen some of them before."

"Yes," Jin confirmed, his tone serious.

"But why didn't the Nunchaku work with me?" RG Ryu asked, confusion and frustration evident in his voice.

"I think it doesn't accept you as its master," Jin explained calmly.

"So that's why… When I used it, it felt like a normal Nunchaku," RG Ryu muttered, realization dawning on him.

Just then, a guard rushed into the room, panting. "Sir!"

"What happened?" RG Ryu demanded, turning sharply toward him.

"Sir, the prisoner… he's not there," the guard reported, his voice laced with urgency.

"I knew it," RG Ryu growled, his eyes narrowing. "Those monsters were here for him."

"You can go now," Jin said to the guard, his tone dismissive but composed.

"Thank you, sir," the guard replied before leaving.

"Those were not the monsters," Jin said after a pause, his voice firm.

"What do you mean?" RG Ryu asked, frowning.

"I set him free," Jin admitted, meeting RG Ryu's gaze.

"What? Why?" RG Ryu's voice rose with disbelief.

"Remember, I told you about entering the portal with my friend to save someone captured by monsters?" Jin began, his expression darkening. "He's one of my friends who entered that portal."

"But… how does he have the same face as my brother?" RG Ryu asked, his confusion deepening.

"I was just as shocked when I first saw you," Jin replied, his voice quieter but steady.

"You mean… you've seen someone who looks like me before?" RG Ryu pressed, his brows furrowed.

"Yes. He's also one of my friends here," Jin said, nodding. "And that Nunchaku—it belongs to him."

RG Ryu's expression tightened. "I want to meet your friends tomorrow."

"Alright," Jin said with a nod. "I'll call them tomorrow."Tony, wounded and barely conscious, stumbled into the market under the cover of night. His steps faltered, and he collapsed onto the ground, drawing a few startled gasps from passersby. Wei, who happened to be nearby, rushed toward him, his sharp eyes scanning the fallen figure.

"He's the brother of the Royal Guard… He looks like Tony. But what happened to him?" Wei muttered to himself, crouching down. "I should give him medicine."

Without hesitation, Wei lifted Tony and carried him to his room. The night passed in quiet urgency as Wei treated Tony's wounds.

In the morning, Tony stirred, blinking groggily as he took in his unfamiliar surroundings. The dimly lit room felt cozy yet mysterious, and standing near him was a masked figure carrying a bowl of medicine.

"Who are you?" Tony asked, his voice hoarse but wary.

"Don't worry. I won't harm you," Wei replied, his tone calm but firm.

"What is this?" Tony questioned, gesturing toward the bowl.

"Medicine. It'll help you recover and continue your duty as a Guard," Wei said, placing the bowl in front of him.

Meanwhile, back at the castle, Jin called a meeting with Kai and RG Ryu in the war room.

"Where is Tony?" Ryu asked, glancing at Jin.

"He didn't reach you?" Jin asked, his brows knitting together in concern.

"We thought you had captured him," Kai said, folding his arms.

Jin sighed deeply. "I set him free when the monsters attacked the castle."

"Monsters attacked, and you let him go?" RG Ryu snapped, his voice rising with anger.

"This is all my fault." G Tony's voice interrupted as he stepped into the room alongside RG Ryu. His face was pale with guilt.

Ryu adjusted his cloth mask tightly, his emotions swirling.

"You can remove your mask," RG Ryu said firmly. "Jin told me everything."

With a reluctant nod, Ryu removed his mask, his expression heavy.

"This is all my fault. I shouldn't have captured him," G Tony said, his voice thick with regret.

"Don't blame yourself. You were doing your duty," Kai said, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"If those monsters have your brother and friend, then I'm with you," RG Ryu said, his voice resolute. "We still have one of those monsters in custody. We'll set it free outside the city and follow it to its lair."

"Thank you," Ryu said, his tone sincere.

"I'll go with Tony—or his copy—and track the monster," Kai volunteered with a smirk.

"I'm not his copy!" G Tony retorted, his tone sharp.

"Kai has the Shield of the Dragon," Jin suddenly interjected.

"I have what?" Kai blinked, startled.

"The Sevpon. It can create anything," G Tony clarified, crossing his arms.

"Hey, Ryu, I also have something for you." RG Ryu stepped forward, handing over his Nunchaku.

Ryu's eyes widened as he took it. "Thank you, Ryu," he said, his voice filled with gratitude.

RG Ryu chuckled lightly. "That's weird, calling someone else by your name."

"You're right," Ryu said, sharing a small smile.

"Okay, you two go and see where that monster leads us. We'll prepare our forces for the war," Jin instructed, his voice commanding.

"Alright, let's go, copy," Kai teased, shooting G Tony a playful look.

"I am not a copy!" G Tony said, his voice filled with exasperation.

Kai smirked. "I was kidding."
