"You heard me, and don't make me repeat my answer."
"Of course, sorry."
"What is it that you like about him?"
"Everything."
Ace's face showed anger, "How young and naïve, so why aren't you together?"
"I don't know." She replied truthfully.
"Go."
Luna got up and went to Dave, but the guards lifted him, and knew that Ace had ordered them to carry him out,
"Thank you so much, Sir, Mam."
Luna stood outside with Dave and her heart was beating fast, she stood there waiting for the cab to arrive, she got to Dave's, and when she was done, Luna went back to her apartment, and called it a night.
The week went by and on Friday Luna's heart was beating fast, Ace had arrived with other businessmen, and Luna made sure to hide.
She was not going to serve him, and the other girl was excited to serve them, Luna could breathe.
"Luna they want you."
"I can't, I have another table that I'm tending to."
"We can switch."
"No, I won't."
Luna walked off and went to the table that she was serving, she did not look at Ace or his direction.
"Luna we are going to be in trouble, he is scary as it is, you need to go."
"I can't, I'm also scared."
"You don't want to make him angry."
Luna nodded and took the drinks that were already ordered, she got to the table and continued to place the drinks in front of every one carefully.
They were deep in conversation and made sure that she would not make eye contact with anyone, that was all that she was focused on for now.
Luna went back and got the food that they had ordered, and began placing it in front of everyone, she wondered as to why Ace had asked for her if she was doing the same job.
"I'm going for a smoke." Said Ace and all the other men nodded, he was scary,
Luna went back to get the special ashtray and handed it to the other girl, "Take it to him, I'm busy serving another table."
The girl nodded excitedly, and she breathed a moment of relief,
Luna was shocked when the girl came back, "He is fuming, Luna go outside."
She sighed, and went outside,
"Don't ever fucking play that bullshit to me, I won't let you off easily."
"Sorry Sir, I was just trying to serve your table well."
"You're serving me and not them. Where I go, you do too."
"Yes Sir."
"Do you like working here?"
"Yes Sir, I'm delighted to serve you."
"Not me but this job in general."
"I do love it."
"Why?"
"I need the income."
"Then work for me."
"No thanks."
"You did not even think about it, ask me about the income, nor what job I would offer. So why reject it?" she was surprised by the anger in his tone.
She did not respond and carried on looking at the ground. Finally, he finished smoking and the night was coming to an end.
Luna felt tired and when it was done, she was glad to be going home, after getting changed she waited outside for Dave to come.
He had said he would come and fetch her, now she stood there waiting for him, he was probably late, a car stopped in front of her,
"Get in."
Luna froze as it was Ace, "I'm waiting for someone Sir."
"In, now!"
She got in the car and they set off, "I should give the driver directions as to where I live."
"I know where you live."
Luna's head turned sharply to him and was very shocked.
"I know everything about you Luna."
She felt defeated, and stared out the window, this could not be worse. Luna took out her phone and texted Dave, that she had a ride.
"Texting him?"
"Yes."
"You are acting out when I'm helping you."
"I'm just tired."
Which she was, and when she got to her place, Luna got out, "Thank you, Sir."
"Go in."
She nodded and headed in, when she got a text back from Dave apologizing, she smiled and let him know that it was okay, and was home safe.
