Chereads / Ace's Obsession / Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

Luna was at work, and Dave had not asked her out as she hoped, but there was a bit of hope, as he had kissed her.

"Luna, they are calling for you." Said one of the girls.

"No."

"It's Ace."

Luna had been at the back and now went to their table. When she got there, Luna found beautiful women surrounding him and Sadie was there too.

It did not take her long to know that these were his mistresses, but why should she serve them?

There were thirteen of them, which blew her mind the most, so much lacking dignity and fighting for his attention.

She could not lie, Ace was an attractive monster.

"Evening, what would you like to drink?"

They turned to him as if they were lost puppies,

"Bring us eight of the most expensive bottles."

She nodded and went back, after getting them, she asked two girls to help them as she prepared and poured them into their glasses.

They had ordered the five-star, five-course meal. Luna stood by the counter and felt awfully exhausted.

"I need a small break." She said to her manager.

"You can't. Ace is our most valued customer, and if we lose him, you lose your job."

Luna stood there, and she saw Sadie calling her. She stumbled and was glad that she had caught herself before she landed on the ground.

"Yes, mam."

"I forgot, you can leave."

Luna knew that they were messing with her and for what? They should worry about them sharing one man and there were thirteen of them.

She wondered how it worked in the bedroom, but she had a hint of suspicion that they at times, would all entertain him at the same time.

She shook it out of her head, not wanting to think about such things that did not concern her and if Ace thought she would be one of his collectibles, he should think again.

Luna could not help it as she went to the back and vomited. She was going to get fired as she grabbed her bag from the locker room.

"Tell the manager he can fire me. I'm too sick."

"What about Ace?"

"My health comes first and besides, there is no point in serving him whilst sick or if I faint? Get injured for a long while. Just for a man?"

Luna turned away.

"They are calling you."

She didn't turn to their table, and she headed out. Her head hurt and did not care at that moment.

She might as well get another job because they didn't care about her health. Actually, she would quit.

A car stopped beside her, and she did not turn.

"Get in the car."

"No."

Ace climbed out of the car.

Ace was now standing in front of her. "What did you say to me?"

"I am not getting into a stranger's car."

"I think we are past that now."

"Ace, please, just leave me alone."

"No."

"I don't get it. You could just go get another girl."

"I don't want to."

"Besides, the number of mistresses you have should be more than enough."

"They would be enough if you joined."

"I'm not like that, I'm not, ever and I mean it, share my boyfriend with other women."

"I'm not your boyfriend."

"You see, that's even worse, being with a guy who does not want commitment. I could not, knowing that you entertain other women."

"You will get used to it."

Luna was beginning to fume. Who did he think he was?

"As I said, no thank you, sir."

"Call me Ace."

"No."

His hand went to her throat, and he began squeezing hard. Luna could not breathe and he finally let her go.

"I will see you."

He left, and she got up. When she arrived home, she made sure to close and lock her apartment.

She went to the bathroom to take a bath. When she looked in the mirror, Luna could see a red rim on her throat.

What an evil bastard. She now sat in the bath, thinking about everything. Luna felt exhausted, Ace was draining her.

To make matters worse, she could not report it because everyone knew who he was and was feared.

So she was fighting a losing battle.

After bathing, she sat on her bed wondering what she could do for Ace to leave her alone. This was not the time. Thinking was giving her a headache.

She checked her phone and there was no message from Dave and she had sent him plenty. So why was he not texting her back?

She wanted to call him but Luna thought against it as it would make her a nagging wife. Luna spent the following days resting.

After thinking, Luna finally had her answer as to what she would do, moving forward with everything in her life.

Today she had fully recovered and was thankful for it as having a cold was one of her worst sicknesses.
