Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

He raised his eyebrow, "What?"

"By any chance, do you have novels?"

He got up, "Come."

She followed Ace and she was shocked at how huge his library was. She selected some books.

When she was done, "Where is your garden? I want to go and read there."

"Let's go."

They got to his garden, and it was too beautiful as she sat on the garden couch, and under the sun. Ace was working on his laptop across from her.

Of course, he would not just show her and go work somewhere else, he had to literally watch her.

What had she expected?

They seemed to be a couple spending time with each other, but she knew better and hoped that Ace would not have weird thoughts.

She knew that he would not be thinking about being a couple, but more of him probably taking her on this couch.

"Ace."

She set her book down and it was Sadie.

"What?"

"We were not aware that you have a recruit." Another girl replied.

The way these girls looked at him with so much hope, as they all thirsted for his affection, which made her a bit sad for them as Ace didn't want that.

They stayed here, but at what cost? They were alright with living the rest of their lives like this, following him and hoping for something that might or might not happen.

"Luna, and she isn't," Ace replied.

Luna could see that they were all shocked at that. She wondered what that was all about.

"Oh, well, we should introduce ourselves. We have already met." It was Sadie.

She nodded, "I do remember you."

"Blair."

"Kenzie."

"Cali."

"Heidi."

"Celine."

"Holly."

Faye."

By the thirteenth girl, she could not remember who is who.

"Nice to meet you all, but you won't have to remember me. I won't be here again."

She saw the relief on the girl's faces,

"We will see." Said Ace as if he was challenging her.

Then the look on the girl's face back in full force and this time it was worse.

The girls began to sit and dreaded it. Now she could not enjoy her books and Ace would not let her go. She knew that by now.

"I'm working. Go back inside."

The girls all stopped, and they became stiff, "Yer Sir. They all replied and Luna could breathe out in relief.

"What?"

When he found her staring at him,

"Quite a category, you have going on there."

"It would be more exquisite if..."

She cut him off. "Don't even start."

"I didn't."

"I know where this is going by now, don't you think?"

He gave her a bad boy grin, and she felt herself nearly melting and snapped herself back to reality.

"You see." He replied with a knowing look, of course, he had so many girls, he knew all about this too well.

Luna rolled her eyes, and Ace got up. He was in front of her.

He leaned down, and he was on top of her. He was too heavy for her to push off, as he was half sitting on her.

"Whaaa…t ...…..what..."

He took her hands and pinned them on either side of her.

"Roll your eyes at me."

Luna could tell that there was so much fury and lust in it, or was she imagining it? Was he being turned on? He was a psycho till the end.

"I did not mean to." She replied lowly.

He leaned in and kissed her neck. His kisses were wet, making her squirm underneath him.

She was wriggling underneath him, and he seemed to be enjoying her efforts,

"Sir......"

They both turned and Sadie stood there.

Luna was thankful when he pulled back, and she slapped him, not knowing what she was thinking.

Yet he did not flinch but turned to Sadie. "What?"

"I wanted to ask if you wanted some food."

"No, I already ate."

Sadie seemed to be reluctant to leave but did. Ace's hand went to her jaw, and he squeezed very hard.

Luna turned her focus back to him as Sadie left, and felt as if her jaw was going to break at how much pressure he was applying. She tried to claw his hand away but couldn't.

Tears started to trickle down her face, and he finally let her go. He went back to his seat, and she massaged her jaw.

She took her book and did not look at Ace; she was too afraid. Luna was trembling in fear, there was no way that would ever be with this man.

She hated him and she could taste it on the tip of her tongue, which she wanted to spit on him but couldn't.

"Are you hungry?"

She jumped at his question. "No, not all, but thank you."

Speaking was beyond painful, and she would not eat for a long while. Luna spent the rest of the day reading.

When the evening time came, she went to his room and went to the bathroom. Luna stood there looking at the huge bruise on her face.

She closed the door and locked it. She sank on the floor and cried, trying to silence her sobs.

There was a rattle on the door.

Her heartbeat spiked up, and she had to calm herself down.

"Open the door, Luna."

She took a deep breath. "I'm using the bathroom."

"It's been hours. Who takes that long?"

Luna got up shakily, not wanting to cause further harm to herself. She opened the door and walked past Ace.

He went out of the room as she sat on the bed, and he came back. He got on the bed.

"Look at me."

She did tentatively, not looking him in the eye. He began rubbing her jaw with some ointment and she flinched.

She was in so much pain but sat still.

When he was done, he kissed her jaw lightly and was so confused, but did not say a word. Anything could land her in trouble with him.

She lay down, and he lay down but was shocked when he pulled her into his arms. She did not resist as she would have if he hadn't hurt her this morning.
