The following afternoon as she worked, Luna was a bit upset that Dave had not messaged her, after all she had done for him.
Luna turned to wipe another table, and Ace was in his car. He did not bother to turn away from her gaze.
Luna sat by her bed and her old manager had wanted her to come back, and she was drowning in debt.
What else could she do? So she agreed to return but quit the day job as she would need some rest.
Tonight, she served some customers,
"You are beautiful."
Luna blushed a bit, "Thank you." At the man complimenting her.
She froze a bit when she knew that Ace had arrived. You knew because of the atmosphere, at how everyone was now whispering.
He was one of those people that did not have to speak to feel their presence.
"Luna, I think he would want you to serve him."
"Did he not come when I was not there?"
"He did."
She would not go back to the same old routine if she could help it. If he could still be here when she was not, then he was fine with being served by someone else.
"So act like I'm not there."
"But...…."
"Go."
Luna went back to her table as she placed down the drinks. "Your drinks."
She wanted to scream at the fact that Ace and his man sat next to the table that she was serving, just pretend he is not there.
"I wish they would come with you."
Luna looked at the gentleman who had said, and he was good-looking, which made her blush all the more as to how he was staring at her.
Luna went back, and a few minutes later, she saw the gentleman call her, she went up to him.
He motioned for her to lower down and she did so hesitantly.
"May I speak to you outside for a few minutes, it's an urgent matter."
"When I fini...…"
"It has to be now."
Luna nodded, "This way Sir."
Luna led him outside to the smoke area, "What's wrong Sir?"
He grinned at her. "Nothing is wrong. I just wanted to get an opportunity to talk to you, without prying ears."
Luna nodded, "In regards to?"
"About taking you on a date."
She was taken aback by his proposal,
"I don't date clients."
He pouted, "Why not?"
"It's a policy."
"If I stopped coming here, then would you let me take you on a date?"
Her eyes widened, "I did not mean it that way!"
He laughed at her panic and she too, chuckled.
The sliding door opened, and the manager came out. "You're supposed to be working."
She turned to him. "I was helping a client."
"If we lose Ace as a client, I won't forgive it."
She was taken aback as to how he related to all of this. "What?"
"He told me that you're slacking. You need to head back in now."
Luna walked back in fuming. This man was going to make her life a living nightmare. She did not look in his direction.
She went back to their table and smiled at the gentlemen. If Ace could play the game, so could she.
The night finished and Luna had told the gentleman to wait for her. When she was out, the gentleman came up to her.
"Thank you for giving me a few minutes of your precious time."
Luna smiled, "No problem."
"William."
She gave him her number and made her way back home. Luna went to bed. It was Friday evening and William motioned for her.
Luna went to his table. "Could you serve me?"
"No, we assigned to tables. We rotate."
"Bummer, I guess I'm going to watch you from a distance."
Luna shook her head and went back to the front. What was wrong with these men and stalking?
Luna saw Ace walk in with the other men. She made sure to not look at him after what they had done.
She felt embarrassed, and him telling her to open her legs played in her mind. To make it worse, Dave was there, he seemed to be groveling at their feet. He was the loser of the group. He was a coward.
"You are assigned to Ace's table."
"No."
"It's your turn, Luna." Said Ruby.
"No, anyone of you can take the table."
"You know Ace wants you to serve him," Sienna said bitterly, and Luna knew that all the girls were jealous of how Ace wanted her.
Little did they know that she didn't want the affection. She sighed and went to his table. Even if she when she had told them that she didn't want, they thought that she was lying.
There was no point anymore, and she had nothing to prove to them, let them think what they wanted to.
"Evening, what would you like to order?"
She did not look at Ace or Dave, as they ordered the most expensive bottles, and she went to get them prepared.
Luna went back with the ice buckets, then she went to get the bottles. She placed some in the ice bucket.
She was fuming, seeing Dave had triggered it and at Ace for what he had planned to do that night.
She opened the bottles and poured them in their glasses, and when she got to Ace's she poured, and felt Ace's hand on her thigh.
She poured the drinks faster and went back to the front.
"You need to be friendly to the customers."
She turned to Valerie. "What?"
"You look like you are fuming," Valerie replied.
"You need to be worried about your tables, not mine."
"I'm trying to help you."
"I don't need it Valerie, leave me alone."
She was tired of it all and everyone being on her throat except for Nora.
"Fine, suit yourself."
Luna did, and when the night came to a close, Luna locked up and began making her way back home.
A car stopped next to her and it was Ace.
