Luna was excited as she and Dave were going on a date on Saturday. She had the day off and could not wait. She had been waiting for this moment for so long.
She also hoped that Ace would not come and ruin everything for her with his crap. Everyone at work and some of the customers were now speculating about why Ace summoned her so much.
She wanted to be as far from him as possible, being associated with him was the last thing that she wanted. Wednesday came, and she sat outside for a breather.
Luna did not know why she was so exhausted, and she lay her head on the table, her eyes shot awake when she remembered that she was still at work.
Then there was more shock when she saw that Ace sat opposite her and his tuxedo jacket was draped around her, the scent enveloped her.
She was getting ready to stand up,
"Sit."
"I have to get back to work."
"I booked you for the whole evening."
"What?"
"I told you I don't like to repeat myself."
"I didn't know that we have such a policy."
"For me you do."
"No, I can't! What will people think."
Ace seemed to be amused, "Explain."
"You have been summoning me so much, I don't want people to get the wrong idea."
"Is it that bad to be associated with me?"
"Yes, I can't do this anymore."
"You don't have a choice."
Luna was about to lose it at how calm he was, she was debating with her fear, "I.....I....."
"You what?"
She leaned back in the chair and closed her eyes, might as well take advantage of this if she could not leave.
"Why are you so tired?"
"Just a long week Sir."
"Full of what?"
"Just cleaning and stuff."
"Carry on sleeping."
Luna woke up when she felt a hand shaking her, she thought it was Ace but it was the other worker, "Time to go home."
"Why did you not wake me up?"
"Ace said to not wake you up."
"Okay."
"Is there something that is going on between you two?"
"No!"
"Then why does he want to always see you?"
"I think he enjoys patronizing me."
"I don't think so."
"Then what would it be?"
"He is interested in you."
"Stop, I have Dave and we are going on a date on Saturday."
"That's nice, I hope you two have fun."
"Thanks."
Luna got home and could not get it out of her mind that now everyone thought that something was going on between her and Ace.
As afraid as she was for him, she knew that she had to set boundaries or else she would be his slave until who knows when.
Yet she wanted to vomit at the thought of telling him all that, why did she have to serve him? Or was he making her pay for the champagne that she had broken?
She could not say that it was Dave as he had been like this long before he knew about him. She did not need such drama in her life.
So Luna was going to write a speech and rehearse it, and she would recite it the moment he came back to the restaurant.
If she delayed or stalled, she would lose the nerve to make a confession and this would not be fixed, which led to her knowing that she would be his doormat as long as he wanted.
Another thing that had plagued her so much was who the lady that was there was. If they had some sort of relationship, they would be in an open relationship.
She had tried to reject him and shut it down but had remembered his words, and he did not want to have anything with that.
So what did he intend to do, if she would never accept his request? Would he then move on? She didn't know how to convince him but one thing for sure was that she would try.
Ugh, whatever, why was she ruining her evening thinking about him, she was giving him what he wanted and now she had to stop thinking about him.
