Hyrus POV:

I felt my eyes slowly open, a sharp pain in my head. Damn, it hurt. I looked around. I was surrounded by dense forest. A thick fog limiting my vision and tall trees stretching as far as my eyes could see covered in dark emerald leaves.I stood up, feeling a sharp pain in my legs.

Fuck! What had happened. Last I remembered I was back... oh shit, I couldn't even remember what I was last doing. I racked my brain. What had happened?! I didn't understand how I had ended up here in these woods. I had to focus. I looked around, my eyes darting over my surroundings though I could barely see a few feet in front of me because of the fog. I took a moment to gather my thoughts. Everything would be okay; I would just find a way out of the forest and get back home.

Home? I realized I didn't even remember where my home was, in fact I couldn't remember anything. My hands clenched. What was going on? I had no idea where I was or where I was going. Focus!I began walking, this was all I could do for now, find a way out of this forest. I could figure out everything next.

The forest was eerily silent, not even the sounds of birds or other wildlife that I could hear, just the sound of the trees leaves in the weak breeze and my quiet footsteps on the ground.

Minutes went by of walking which quickly turned into hours, I was getting tired, it looked no different from when I had started this trek. The forest all looked the same, just trees as far as the eye could see and the occasional rocks littering the forest floor. My stomach growled. I was so damn hungry, but there was nothing to eat, no plants except for the trees. I sat down after a couple of hours of walking, panting. I felt like I was making no progress in finding my way out, as if I had just been walking in circles.

I then heard rustling coming from what seemed to be just a few yards away. I stood up instinctively. The rustling became louder as I saw a silhouette in the distance. Whoever it was was clearly very tall. As the person neared I saw... a muzzle, pointy ears?

Finally, they breached my vison. My eyes widened and I stumbled back in surprise. It wasn't human by the looks of it. But it didn't look animal either. He had a wolf-like head, and large almost oversized ears. He had a relatively human body but was covered in grey fur, with a tail that looked almost 5 feet long.He noticed me staring.

"Oh my gods, a human!" he exclaimed, his voice deep and gravelly.

"W-what are you?" I said meekly, trying not to look as petrified as I was.

"That is the question I should be asking you, human boy. I have never seen a human on this side of the realm."

"What do y-you mean?"

He seemed confused for a moment. "Little human, where did you come from?" it asked, ears twitching.

"I-I-I don't remember. I don't remember anything." I said sullenly.

The wolf man cocked his head. "Really? Hmm, well it would be cruel not to help you, follow me."

He gestured for me to follow him.

"Where are we going?" I asked after about 30 seconds.

"Well, were going back to Allivaria of course." he said.

"W-what is that?"

"You really don't remember anything, do you?" it asked, smirking at me.

"I-I suppose not."

"Do not fret then, little human, I'll bring you back to my home and we can sort this all out." he said reassuringly.

After a few more minutes of walking, I felt myself becoming excruciatingly tired.I heaved out a breath, "I don't think I can keep walking for much longer." I choked out, panting.

The wolf man didn't even look out of breath. He sighed. "Humans get very tired I suppose." he said, clearly annoyed with me.

He walked up to me and out of nowhere grabbed me by my waist, hoisting me on his back. His fur was surprisingly fluffy and very warm. "H-hey! What are you doing?!" I blurted out.

"This will go much easier if you let my carry you." he said.

"Oh, u-um okay." I said meekly.

I grabbed on to his thick neck, not sure what he was getting at. He got on to all fours and started running. I clenched my eyes shut, fuck! We must have been going at least 60 miles per hour. It was impossible! No one could run this fast. But I suppose I didn't know much at all about this place, did I?

My hands hugged at the wolf man's neck as tightly as I could, quite surprised he didn't seem to feel any pain.

We careened through the forest, soon coming into view of a town of some sort of town, I could see small cottages lined in neat rows and wolf people walking around on the cobblestone path.

As we neared the town, the beast man came to a stop.

"Okay, I need you to pay very close attention right now." He said, voice low. "I am going to place an invisibility spell on you, but you have to be touching me or else the spell will fade, understood? The people around these parts have never seen a human before."

Never seen a human?! Where the hell was I?!

"I-ok I guess.

He grabbed my wrist, hard. I winced in pain.

"Oh, I'm sorry." He said ears drooping for a moment. "I did not know humans were so fragile."

he said, not in a mocking way, but with sympathy.He led me through this town. I was shocked, I had never seen a place quite like this before. I didn't see a single person, only wolf people just like the one grabbing my arm.

He pulled the cloak of his hood over his eyes, almost like he was trying to conceal his identity. He led me through the town in silence, his eyes focused on his surroundings. Finally, a massive castle came into view.

It was incredible. Great spiraling columns reaching to the sky, the castle seeming almost completely made glass. I expected the wolf man to lead me inside one of the numerous cottages lining the streets, but we had passed all of them by now. I realized now he was taking me right towards the castle.
