The dark night sky was a canvas of twinkling stars, the moon a silver crescent hanging low in the horizon. The air was crisp and cool, carrying the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves. The trees, tall and sentinel, stood watch over the landscape, their branches creaking softly in the gentle breeze.
Perched atop one of these trees, the Bloody Three sat in silence, their eyes fixed on the darkness below. They were a picture of elegance and refinement, their expensive clothes and impeccable grooming a stark contrast to the brutal reputation that preceded them.
Edward, sat with his back against the trunk of the tree, his eyes narrowed as he gazed out into the night. His dark hair was perfectly styled, his features chiseled and handsome.
Robert sat to Edward's right, his eyes fixed on some point in the distance. His blond hair was messy and unkempt, his features rougher than Edward's, but no less handsome.
And in the center, Lucas, sat with his eyes closed, his face tilted up towards the moon. His dark hair was perfectly styled, his features so chiseled and handsome that they seemed almost otherworldly. A small, cruel smile played on his lips, giving him an air of quiet menace.
"Your little bride seem to have made a new friend." Edward said sarcastically with a little smile.
Robert's eyes snapped towards Edward, a hint of curiosity in his gaze. "Oh? And who might that be?" he asked, his voice low and smooth.
Lucas's eyes remained closed, but a small, amused smile played on his lips. "I think Edward is referring to the little human who was with Penelope earlier," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Edward's smile grew wider. "Yes, that's the one. Emily, I think her name was. She seems like a sweet little thing. I wonder what she'd be like...broken."
Robert chuckled." You would only be making my bride hate me more if you break her new friend." He said a small smile playing on his lips as he took out a cigarette using a match to light it.
Lucas's eyes snapped open, his gaze piercing as he turned to Robert. "Your bride?" he repeated, his voice laced with amusement. "You mean Penelope? Ah, Robert, you're so possessive. It's almost...cute."
Robert's smile grew wider as he took a drag on his cigarette, the smoke curling lazily into the night air. "Oh, I'm not possessive, Lucas," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I just like to think of Penelope as...mine."
Edward chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Well, Robert, if only she considered u hers, it'd sound more convincing."
Lucas piercing gaze lingered on Robert before shifting back into the darkness below."She had never accepted you , don't get too attached , Robert, she's just a pawn to your family."
Robert didn't reply he only took a drag from his cigarette his eyes becoming as distant as ever.
"the little human friend may have disrupted my dinner earlier today, such a pity she didn't accept to offer herself." Lucas said as he took out a cigarette from his breast pocket lighting it up.
"Is that so.....such a pretty neck would be fun to bite." Edward chimed in.
Robert chuckled."if she's friends with Penelope then believe me she would never be willing to let a vampire take any drop of her blood not ever."
"Well we would have to be nice then ,after all we wouldn't want to snap that frail neck." Edward said with a deep throat laughter that echoed the surrounding.
*****
Emily got up early the next morning and saw Penelope also up."morning." She said to Penelope who was taking out a dress from the wardrobe.
"Morning, you have to get up let's freshen up and join the others for breakfast,we have class by 8:56 it's still 6:59
So we might make it."
Emily yawned as she got up ,waking up early wasn't particularly her thing back at home she slept till it was 10:00am at most , her parents had absolutely no i issue with that ,they felt she was young and needed sleep, but now it seems she would have to get used to waking early.
Penelope and Emily walked through the noisy hallway ,The long, dimly lit corridor stretched before them, lined with ancient stone walls and flickering torches. Students hurried past, their footsteps echoing off the walls. The air was thick with the scent of old books and dusty knowledge.
Students Rushing To Class
Some students rushed, backpacks slung over shoulders, while others strolled, engaged in hushed conversations. The atmosphere pulsed with energy, a mix of excitement and nervousness.
They were also some students, dressed in simple attire, trailing behind vampires These were blood servants, that the rich vampire families bought for the sake of blood ,these humans were trained to serve their master's every need ,their rank was also low as they had no power.
Emily's gaze lingered on each blood servants she saw ,she had read so much about them ,she felt pity and curiosity sparking within her. She wondered about their lives, bound to serve the vampires.
Penelope's voice cut through Emily's thoughts. "Let's keep moving, Emily. We don't want to be late for Professor Thompson's class."
As they entered the classroom, Emily suddenly spotted the bloody Three from afar ,they stood in front of another classroom door , Lucas was leaning against the walls while Edward stood before him saying something to him he had his back facing her ,Robert was leaning at the door seeming to listen to what Edward was saying but all of a sudden his gaze turned to her direction ,she was startled and gasped a bit.
Penelope turned to her worried."are you alright.?"she asked
Emily modded immediately looking away from the three's direction, but Penelope caught her gaze and also saw the three ,she frowned a bit."you can go on right in Emily , I'll join you class." Penelope said.
"Is everything alright?." Emily asked
Penelopeet out a giggle."of course dear ,I just need to get something." Penelope replied.Emily didn't argue instead she nodded and turned to enter the class room ,but she curiously took a peep on the bloody Three and unexpectedly her eyes came in contact with that of Lucas who stared at her as tho she had interrupted his meal again.
