The Fourth Chapter: Battle Against the Master of the Element - Part One

After understanding the risks and fluctuations of my new world, I began examining the inherited memories of the bloodline that I had never looked into before, to find ways to develop spiritual beasts. At first glance, it may seem that the longer a spiritual beast lives, the stronger it becomes. And that is true, but nothing prevents them from engaging in natural evolution. The inherited memories of the bloodline mentioned that spiritual beasts only gain spiritual wisdom equivalent to humans after 100,000 years.

However, even though wisdom reaches the human level or higher after that, it does not add knowledge. And although I lack knowledge, there are assumptions suggesting that I will evolve faster, which makes me happy.

The training location is just as important. If it is ideal for the species, cultivation will progress faster. Although the blood inheritance mentioned this only for human masters, I believe it works the same way for spiritual beasts. Luckily for me, the training location doesn't require searching because I am in a massive ice cave.

It is also possible for spiritual beasts to evolve quickly by consuming natural treasures, but I am not foolish enough to eat plants unfamiliar to me. In the blood memories, it was mentioned that a spiritual beast could achieve rapid evolution by consuming human masters with a similar attribute, but I honestly don't want to delve into that.

Additionally, besides reflecting on the world, I continued to immerse myself in meditation and attempts to train my energy control. I picked up a small piece of ice, spat it out, and rotated it, moving it in different directions. Of course, I can lift more, but that's not enough to move it in a specific direction.

To develop control over the ice element, there was naturally a slight increase in my level as well. Although I still don't know the exact spiritual power corresponding to a specific age in cultivation, my size increased from 6 meters to 6.5 meters.

After Five Weeks

About a month and a half has passed, and during this time, I have expanded the size of the spiritual energy in the dragon core decently, from 6.5 meters to 7.5 meters. Though the increase was slight, my control improved. Previously, I could only manipulate a single piece of ice, but now I can easily control six pieces simultaneously, moving them randomly.

I also continued to push energy along my meridians. During this period, they became at least twice as large and dense, with significant progress in the paw and claw channels. I can now calmly direct spiritual energy into my claws and form a larger and sturdier ice claw than my physical claw.

If earlier I could only leave microscopic scratches, I can now carve centimeter-deep grooves, as this ice is infused with spiritual power that has accumulated over thousands, if not tens of thousands, of years. I think the result is quite satisfactory.

I should also mention my size; it has nearly doubled over the past month, increasing from about 50 cm to nearly 1 meter in length.

Additionally, I can now roughly determine my level.

A month ago, my spiritual power felt transparent, as if on the verge of breaking through. In three more months, I expect to form a pearl of elemental energy about the size of a child's fist.

The power changed after breaking through the barrier, becoming so subtle that if I didn't deliberately try to gauge its thickness afterward, I wouldn't have even noticed the breakthrough.

Then, I expanded the capacity of the dragon core, and in less than a year, I reached the ten-year level.

Of course, it's unfortunate that although my evolution can be considered monstrously fast by spiritual beast standards, it's at a snail's pace or even slower compared to humans.

Humans are weaker than beasts in strength, yet they train much faster, while beasts progress so slowly it's almost laughable. However, beasts are significantly stronger than humans at the same level.

Still, I have a second chance at life, which most don't get.

Besides, I recently noticed that no matter what I do or how much of it, I never feel bored, which is quite fortunate. In my long life, as I hope, I'll eventually grow bored of everything.

I've also deduced an approximate level of my mother's power.

When I advanced to the ten-year level, I was able to glimpse the color of the elemental pearl near my dragon core mother.

Its color was black with red spots, meaning she's at least 90,000 years old.

Safety is no longer a concern because only an elemental master could possibly handle an ice dragon at 90,000 years old.

While I was immersed in memories and attempts at flying—because I have wings, which must serve some purpose—I heard a cracking sound deep within the cave. Upon hearing it, I ran at full speed.

I rushed to the nest and began watching my sister's hatching with anticipation and joy. Throughout this time, between training and tests, I never forgot to find time to feed my sister spiritual energy and external spiritual power.

As a result, my sister has now become a completely healthy and strong dragon.

However, during the last week of feeding her, something akin to empathy began to emerge within me.

I could feel my sister's emotions, and most likely, she could feel mine too, as she responded to my attempts to convey feelings of love and joy to her with an outburst of positive emotions.

Even the emotions I received in return were overwhelming.

So, I was genuinely happy and overjoyed at my sister's birth, eagerly awaiting this moment that had finally arrived.

When cracks began to spread across the egg, within five minutes it was completely covered in them.

Suddenly, a small white head covered in scales and tiny horns at the back pierced through the egg.

Moments later, my sister quickly broke the remaining shell and fell onto her back.

My little sister was breathtakingly beautiful, with tiny white scales covering her entire body and large wings. If I resembled a small sculpture carved from ice, my sister looked like a statue made of porcelain.

While I was stunned by my sister's sweetness, she had already begun eating her shell. Unlike me, who needed guidance from our mother, my sister instinctively did everything on her own.

I called out her name.

Well, my sister's name in this life is Aislin Drakon. It sounds strange but similar to our mother's name, Selina Drakon. And, of course, my name in this life is Aison Drakon. These names bear a strong resemblance to our mother's.

The important thing is that my sister has finally hatched from her egg.

While I was still marveling at my sister's adorableness, she had already started eating her shell. Unlike me, who needed hints from our mother, my sister instinctively did everything on her own.
