Chapter Five: The Battle Against the Elemental Master, Part Two
After a few minutes, I regained my composure and began to think seriously. Now is not the time just for self-development; I must hurry. Self-development is not the priority at present.
The real question now is: how can I help my sister at this early stage? She is still young, and her personality has not fully formed yet, which makes it difficult for her to understand things clearly or grasp the purpose behind the training. Unlike me, she does not have memories from a past life to help speed up her development. She will entirely rely on blood inheritance.
I will have to show her how to train, and even if she doesn't understand why, I hope she will try to mimic what I do. I can turn the exercises into simple games to make it easier for her.
I don't want my sister to fall behind in development, let alone leave her behind. Even though our relationship has been based on sending emotions for the past month, I have become very attached to this small battery of positive emotions.
From the world's perspective, time has passed.
Time passed after nearly 700 years.
Between the snow-covered hills and frozen lakes, a group of five people—four adults and a young figure—walked slowly. The closer they got to the central part of the far north, the more tense they became, for the strongest among them was only an Elemental Master with seven cores: one white, two yellow, two purple, and one black with a low-level ice element. Despite still being a 7-core Elemental Master, he was not even at the intermediate stage. If he encountered a spirit beast that was 15,000 years old, he could only flee. Usually, they never ventured close to the central part of the far north because 10,000-year-old spirit beasts were common there. However, after searching for three months without encountering a suitable spirit beast, they decided to approach the central part. The young master, who had broken through to an Ice Elemental Master at the age of fifteen and was considered highly gifted, had the potential for great power. To avoid wasting his talent, they decided to take the risk and approach the central region, as the chances of encountering a high-quality spirit beast were greater there.
The young master said, "Uncle Li, we've been traveling this path for over three months. How much longer will we wander in these frozen wastelands? We haven't encountered any suitable spirit beasts on the outskirts of the city."
He asked, a teenager who appeared to be eighteen, with an ordinary face and a slightly plump body, occasionally displaying an arrogant tone in his voice.
Uncle Li replied, "Young master, the spirit beasts here are only 1,000 years old at most, and the most mature ones don't exceed 1,200 years. The chance of encountering a suitable spirit beast at the right age is very slim, especially in the far north." Uncle Li spoke with exhaustion.
He had endured the young master's arrogance during the first week because he himself was born into an ordinary farming family. The fact that he was able to awaken a low-level ice element was already a great achievement. He helped the young master and never even dared to dream of capturing a high-level elemental spirit core.
A middle-aged man said: "Uncle Li, let's check those hills. Perhaps we'll be lucky to find a suitable spirit beast there."
The Elemental Master, one of the three others present, a middle-aged man with an ordinary ice element, suggested this.
The other two responded, "Let's go, we can only rely on luck anyway."
After walking several kilometers and climbing the icy hills, the group saw a small frozen lake. On its shore, there was an ice-white dragon with shimmering blue gradients, giving it a sparkling appearance, resembling ice or crystals.
The ice-white dragon looked like a creature from another world, with its body sparkling in gradients of bright blue, giving it a brilliant, icy or crystal-like appearance. Its wings were huge, almost transparent, and dynamically curved backward, appearing as though made of pure ice or shattered glass, with delicate details that made them sparkle in the light of any environment around it.
Its head was adorned with thin horns and sharp spikes tilted backward, with a long horn growing from its forehead, giving it a wild, mythical appearance. Its bright blue eyes pulsed with power, adding to its majestic presence and making it seem like a royal creature ruling over its domain.
Its body was covered in thick, shiny scales resembling ice or crystalline formations arranged in a geometric pattern, each one showing a cold, strong sheen. This geometric arrangement of scales gave it a solid, realistic appearance, as if its body were made of compacted ice.
Standing at 3.5 meters tall, the dragon emitted cold, icy air that froze everything in its path. This dragon not only radiated strength but also an irresistible cold element, making anyone who approached feel its immediate danger.
They hadn't even hoped to find such a rare, high-quality spirit beast as soon as they entered the central region. What a blessed encounter this was.
If the young master could obtain this dragon's elemental pearl, he would certainly break through to the level of Elemental King and become a force to be reckoned with.
Uncle Li said: "Young master, you're very lucky. This is an ice-white dragon, about 1,700 years old. It's highly suitable for the three elemental cores."
They hadn't even hoped to find such a rare, high-quality spirit beast as soon as they entered the central region.
The young master said: "Uncle Li, help me catch this spirit beast."
He spoke with joy, for despite his arrogance, they had taught him well, and he knew exactly how valuable the dragon's elemental pearl was.
Uncle Li replied: "Xiao Tian, Liu Bai, Gu Ning, help me surround this spirit beast. Aim for the wings. Although this ice-white dragon isn't strong in itself, it is fast and won't be defeated by spirit beasts that are only 10,000 years old. If it wants to leave, we won't be able to catch it."
As they all felt relieved,
The entire group responded in unison:
"Yes, yes, yes."
