I sat at the small desk in my Paris apartment, my fingers flying over my laptop keyboard. The city lights flickered through the large windows, but I barely noticed them. My PR mind was working at full speed. If Eleanor, Cassandra, and Damien thought they were untouchable, they were wrong.
I had already spent hours digging through countless articles, old scandals, and rumors connected to the Steele family. Damien was already a controversial figure, known for his ruthless business moves, shady deals, and heartless takeovers. His father might have built the empire, but Damien had earned a reputation as the kind of man who would step over anyone to keep it running.
Eleanor was another story. She was admired for her power but also feared. People respected her, but no one trusted her. She had a hand in everything—real estate, politics, business. But Cassandra?
Cassandra was the weakest link.
