"Wow. Drake! This is beautiful," she said while looking around the place. It was more than an hour drive from the city but she could say that it was all worth it.
She could see the sun as it went down and how the orange color of the sky was reflecting on the sea water.
It was just a perfect place and scene for lovers.
She closed her eyes and she let the cold breeze of wind touch her face. She stretched her arms open and turned around as if she was a little child enjoying the beach for the first time.
Well, it had been a while since she smelled the salty water of the sea brought by the wind and she admitted the scene that welcomed them was captivating.
She breathed in and out the fresh air.
"Did you like the place?" Drake"s voice brought her back from her senses.
She slowly opened her eyes and smiled at him then nodded.
"Yes, I think it"s perfect. The long drive is all worth it."
"You are right. I am glad you like it."How did you know about this place?" She couldn"t help but wonder.
"I just saw it was posted in one of the websites I visited recently. So, when I thought that we should have a date as a part of our plan, I quickly booked it here. I also wanted to unwind," he said.
"I see."
"Let"s go. I booked a dinner with one of the restaurants around the place. It has very good reviews and I am so excited to taste their dishes," Drake said and then he held her hand.
Harmony felt like her heart skipped a beat because of what the man did.She felt that there was a sparkle that happened the moment he held her hand.
"Are you okay?" Drake said while looking at her but he was still holding her hand.
She couldn"t help but look at their hands that were intertwined.
"Oh, this?" He said and lifted their hands. "We need to do this to make it real."
"Ahh..." She said and nodded.
Harmony couldn"t explain the emotions that started to stir up inside her heart while Drake was holding her hands.Her heartbeat was pounding so fast and she was finding it hard to breathe.
She tried to focus her mind on the beautiful view that they were seeing while heading to their destination.
They started to walk on a trail and she couldn"t help but feel impressed with Drake. Even if it was just a pretend date, it seemed that he made an effort to look for this place.
They continued walking and the way was becoming steep. She felt Drake tightened the way that he held her hand.
She couldn"t help herself but looked at the man while they were walking.Drake was a handsome man. He had a pointed nose that perfectly blended to his expressive eyes with thick long lashes. He could be a model or an actor if he just wanted to.
But then, he didn"t need that. Drake was a rich man.
"Awww..." The voice of a woman brought her back to reality.
"Oh, I am sorry," she said as she bit her lips. As she was staring at Drake, she didn"t notice the woman that was in front of her.
The woman rolled her eyes and then turned her back.
"That"s okay. Don"t mind her. But what happened? Why didn't you notice her?" Drake said, wondering while looking at her.
"N— nothing," she said while shaking her head.
"God, what happened to you? Why you seemed lost with yourself and you don"t know what you are doing?" She said inside her mind. She couldn"t understand what was happening to her.
Her heart rate accelerated since Drake held her hands. She was thankful that there was no sweat forming in her head to show the sudden tension that she felt.
They continued walking and she was amazed by the beauty of the place. They stopped every now and then to look at the sea waves from below.
It was as if they were really lovers. She felt like a real girlfriend whom her boyfriend surprised for a romantic dinner. She admitted that Drake was able to give her heart a different kind of feeling.
A strange feeling that she never felt before.
She was silently staring at the sea and the horizon. The stars were shining brightly above and the cold breeze of the wind touched her face. The sound of the sea waves touching the sand was music to her ears.
She closed her eyes and she didn"t know but wished that this night won"t end. She was in that position when all of a sudden, her phone rang which made her open her eyes.
She quickly took her phone and she bit her lower lips when she realized who was calling.
It was her mother. She might already be worried about her because she didn"t say anything about getting home late.
This date was also unexpected and because of the excitement she felt when they arrived, she forgot to give her mother a call.
"Harmony? Where are you? It"s already past seven but you are still not home," her mother said in a worried voice.
"I am sorry, mom. Please don"t worry about me. I should be home by ten," she said to her mom and she was hoping that she wouldn"t ask her any more questions because she didn"t know what to say to her.
Harmony didn"t want to lie to her mother of where she was and who she was with. If she would be asking then she would have no choice but to tell her that she was with Drake. But, of course, she wouldn"t tell about the contract.
"Who is that?" Drake asked her and she widely opened her eyes trying to stop him from speaking because her mother would be hearing him."Are you with a man, Harmony?"
