Harmony didn"t make it obvious but she was disappointed with Drake"s answer. She was stupid enough to think that Drake took her in this place because of something special.
Drake was only doing all of these as a part of the show and she should be teaching herself not to assume that this would mean something else.
Drake had been very clear with their contract but she couldn"t understand herself why she was feeling this way. Why did she allow herself to get carried away from the romantic ambiance of the place?
She was glad that Drake was looking to the sea and he didn"t notice her reaction.
"Let"s go and continue walking," Drake said and then he smiled at her.
Her heart jumped again but she fought so hard not to feel anything else. She had to remind herself that this was a charade. Everything that they were doing was just a show.
"Harmony, get yourself together. Drake is just hiring you as her girlfriend. This is fully about business and nothing else," she said to herself.
Finally, they reached the top of the mountain and she couldn"t help but hold her breath because of the sight in front of her.If she were looking on the right side, she would see the city lights. It"s different colors just made it amazing to look at. The wind that was blowing and touching her face was cold and she couldn"t help but wrap her hands to her body.
She was startled when suddenly, a warm cloth had been put on her shoulders. It was Drake. He put his coat to her.
"But are you not cold?" She couldn"t help but ask. She wanted to scold Drake for his gestures. Didn"t he even know what kind of emotions already stirred up inside her heart because of everything that he was doing?"I am good. I am a warm blooded animal. So, all good," he said and then he took her hand again and they continued walking.
They finally reached the restaurant and if her breath was already taken away with the view earlier, this was also beautiful. Just really perfect for couples who wanted to have a romantic date.
"Drake, isn"t this too much?" She couldn"t help but ask.
"Why?"
"I think you spent so much for us to be here," she said and her eyes were roaming around the place.
There were tables outside the restaurant that were just attractive enough to catch passers by attention.
The tables had umbrellas and candles with flowers on top of the table.
"Don"t think that way. Let"s just make the most out of this experience," Drake said which made her confused.
What did the man mean by what he said? What experience was he referring to?"
"Come on, let"s go inside. I am already hungry," he said and then he pulled her hand.
"Okay," she said but in her mind she was so confused with what the man said to her.
They were finally inside the restaurant and if it was already romantic outside, the rustic look inside was so overwhelming. She could understand that the five star feedback it received online was not just for advertisement or exaggeration.
She knew that the customers were really pleased with their experience.
There were also quotes hung on the wall about love. From where she was standing, she could see the live band who were on the stage and playing romantic songs to complete the setup of the place.The place was just simple and yet the designs and the color just perfectly blended and the location was an advantage.
She couldn"t help but look at Drake because he could have just booked a restaurant near their place but why do they have to travel up to this place just to have dinner?
"I booked a table earlier. Drake Villarama," Drake"s voice brought her back to her senses.
"Good evening, sir and ma"am. Let me guide you in your table," the waiter said after he bowed his head and then extended one of his hand as if welcoming them.
They walked inside of the restaurant and Harmony couldn"t help but be surprise. There was a bouquet of flowers in the table.
Drake took it and he gave it to her.
"For the most beautiful woman in my eyes in this place tonight," he said and she couldn"t help but think about the emotion that she saw from his eyes.
She smiled and then she took the flowers from him.
"Thank you," she said and then Drake pulled the chair for her. After that, he went to the chair opposite to where she was sitting.
The waiter came near them and he gave them two glasses and a bottle of red wine for their appetizer while waiting for their food.
Drake had already taken care of everything. The food would just be served to them and all they have to do was to wait from their table.
"Sir, please enjoy your night," the waiter said and then there was another group that went near their table. This time, these people had instruments in their hands and they were standing in front of them while they were playing music.
She closed her eyes and tried to feel every note. She never thought that she would be experiencing this kind of perfect romantic date and of all people, with a stranger.Harmony couldn"t help but be amazed with everything that happened. Drake was very good in every detail for this date when in fact this was just really nothing. Maybe, if there was no contract between the two of them and Drake had not been clear, she might have been in love with him already.
But she knew that she couldn"t because Drake also said that he was going to do this until his inheritance was transferred in his name.
She had to remember that she had to guard her heart because Drake was doing all of these for money and nothing else.
