Chapter 24 - Class

Ring! Ring! Ring!

As their faces were about to meet, Sylvie's phone started ringing nonstop, although the volume was not that high, in the quiet room where the only sound was their nervous breaths, it was more than enough to ruin their moment.

Sylvie groaned, "I sure going to kill the bastard, it better be important!" making a distance between them, she fished her phone from her purse that was on the couch, she groaned, trouble had been brought her way once more.

"When do you ever rest b*tch!" she cussed as soon as the call connected. Peter had his mouth wide, did the gentle woman have these foul words?

Then again he wasn't any better, and she never said she was a saint.

"... No, I don't give a damn f*ck about the reason, you just ruined my first k- ahem, I mean bliss!" she feigned a cough, so dry.

"(Reply)" (Other side of the phone reply)

"Hey it was bliss as in bliss, don't get me wrong you pervert!" feeling that their conversation was going to be long, Peter decided to sit first.

He had things to think through too.

"(Reply)"

"I told you not to involve me in your thrills Bernet, more is right now, my life is not just mine, someone else is desperately clinging to it!" massaging her temples as she looked at Peter, waving at him with her disturbed face, he smiled in return—helplessly.

"So she means me? I'm not clingy Sylvie, you're!" Peter thought.

"(Reply)"

"Say that one more time!" she suddenly exclaimed.

"(Reply)"

"... Hahaha, then count me in, you should have told me that minutes before!" she laughed loudly after the person from the other side repeated.

"(Reply)"

"On my way, ... Yeah just alone, who did you expect me to come with"

"(Reply)

"... Hmph, dream on pervert, he is never meeting you, ever!" she disconnected the call afterward.

Pete created more space for her, slumping into the couch, she rested her head on his shoulder, hunting his arm intimately, a tremor went through his body, and he shivered.

"H-How bold, she has no shame!" he exclaimed in his mind, he so much wanted to pull away but something was stopping him, some unknown force was at work.

Was it that he didn't want her to feel awkward or that... Did he enjoy it? No, no way in hell!

Then again they were about to kiss moments ago.

[How naive!] his face turned red luckily he didn't have to reply the shameless spirit in his head.

Sylvie had opened her mouth to say something.

"Am going to be away, for some unspecified period!" her eyes were... misty? He had to be seeing things, he shook his head to discard the stupid thoughts to listen with full attention to her.

"I am afraid you have to learn how to survive in the upper echelons on your own, learning the hard way, much as I don't wish for this, Pete this is the best way of things. Meanwhile, this journey I am going on is important, for both of us..." Sylvie wanted to say more but couldn't hold back her emotions.

Kissing his cheeks she ran off from the room.

[She fell so quick—so quick!] Elena couldn't help but say. But he had no place in his mind to give a thought to her words, occupied by swarms of his own thoughts.

Where was she going? A journey for both their benefit?

"I hope it's not dangerous for you Sylvie!" He prayed inside.

His class was on the first floor of the classroom block building, squeezed between two classes from each side, S.A (Special Class A) a class for only royals and High nobles and the highly talented commoners who had just joined the academy!

Class B for the next rank of nobles to the lowest the Royal Section could accept, the Earl rank noble.

The Noble Ranking for all Empires were as follows after the Emperor/Empress;

Grand Duke/Grand Duchess, Duke/Duchess, Marquess/Marchioness, Earl/Countess, Viscount/Viscountess, and Baron/Baroness.

The viscount and baron-rank nobles were all in the lower section classes with the rest of the commoners and they were cream of the crop down there, but they, like the common folks had the chance to be admitted in the Royal Section Classes, the catch was their talents, nothing more, nothing less.

So were the Royals, nobles and the extremely talented, the only ones in the Royal section?

No, there were Special cases, for example, there were other powerhouses either individuals, a full organization, or tycoons but these could be labeled as organizations.

This was the kind of group or individual who had full force at their command and could decide thousands of people's fates with a word from them, even Mafias were in this group.

Some few of these originations—their power is not far below that of an Empire!

There is another group that could be allowed in these classes who were not from the latter group, the extremely talented group nor Royal family members.

The Ancient, Big Originations and Empire families had the special privilege of choosing a handful of people—even if not part of their extended families—to be admitted into the academy.

Peter by chance entered on this kind of privilege, thanks to Sylvie a member of the Delphyne Dragonia family, an Ancient family.

So these Special Classes had these groups: The Royals, Descendants of Ancient Families, High Nobles, Big Originations and finally The Privileged!

Even if you were from an ancient race (which are ruled by Ancient Families) without being from a noble family, so talented, or Privileged, you can't be admitted to the Special Classes.

Still these groups members were less than the lest of the normal classes—but not few as they could be numbered in fifty for each class section.

The long hallway was almost empty with only a handful of students here and there who would stare at him with interest, bold perverse eyes from some bold girls but not irritating as he didn't care. He continued marching to his class with indifference.

Wearing a simple white collar brand T-shirt, long grey pants, and a pair of snickers—Sylvie had done his shopping after they left the hospital.

With a bag dropped on his left shoulder, he walked unhurriedly to his class.

Coincidentally, a girl coming from the other side entered the class, he stopped by a hairbreadth from bumping into her.

He let her enter and followed behind.

"... with that, it's not strange that a week after you enter the academy, you have to enter your First Tower Dive/exploration!" the teacher finished as they entered the class.

Peter didn't pay any attention to anything and just walked nonchalantly to the back of the class, he made himself comfortable at the furthest seat at the back.

In the corner, the seats next to and in front of him were empty, he breathed in solace, now that there wouldn't be anyone to irritate him.

He scanned the room with a look of bore looking at the students who looked at him as if he was some kind of interesting view but paid them no heed.

The teacher in charge of the class was a man with a tall figure looking strong and defined, a couple of centimeters shorter than Peter, his bronde hair was short combed, adding to his handsome face, which palled in the Vampire's presence.

"Boy," he said looking at Peter with displeasure, "this is not your home, "special" as you might be, in this class and before me, you're but a boy, slightly talented, now bring your ass here and tell us who the hell you're!"

"How foul-mouthed!" the whole class gasped at Peter's first words to the teacher, the hot-tempered Wolf!
