Peter felt a lot of unlocked power inside of him after killing the Swred crab; seeing the evolution option, he immediately chose a NO and then put all his focus on the monster carcass.
As though it had become transparent, two blue lights came from within the monster's body; acting fast, Peter gripped the connecting parts of the red plate armor of the monster and tore it apart.
Digging his clawed hands inside towards the first blue light, in a disgusting squelching sound, he pulled out a first-size blue ball with a swirled in a blue light—the monster core.
Storing it inside the system inventory, he didn't have time to satisfy his curiosity but cure the poison, like previously he fished out a blue sack with the same colored substance.
He hastily swallowed the lollipop-size sack inside, and a bitter taste invaded the inside of his mouth; he felt like throwing up, but his body had already forgotten the bitter taste of the poison antidote.

Sighing in relief he then thought about what to do it the carcass of the body, seeing the blood dripping from the wounds on it, he felt tempted, shaking his head he discarded that consideration as the blood got washed away by the water.
[I think it won't hurt, try!] he reluctantly took a drop of blood in his mouth, licking it off his finger, it tasted rather good, yeah, eatable, oh, drinkable.
He tasted more of it.

Not disappointed. But the drops would have disappointed him, given he only got the antidote sack as a drop, it was quite disappointing, but well, it saved his little life, right? And hey, he gained immunity to crab poisons!
Shrugging that off, Peter put the carcass inside his inventory, it would fetch him some dollars back in the outside world. Preparing to swim forward he felt presences heading his way.
Based on the force behind their advance, he could guess, well, the number of beasts rushing his way.
20 of them, yet all weak compared to the Adapt beast he just faced.
Just some Basic Swred beasts.
"Well, it seems like the king attacked first before his subordinates; shouldn't it be the other way around? I mean, the king should let his subjects taste the waters before he acts. What a just leader you are!"
[Maybe a father who tried to protect his kids] Peter chuckled a little.
"And I just had to kill the poor guy," he felt sorry for it, and now he was just about to make his kids follow him to hell.
Feeling indebted to reuniting the happy family, he advanced to the angry Swred crabs, knowing their weakness well from the last fight, it was as easy as breathing to kill them.
Swiping his claws at the first one, he separated its neck, and at a fast speed, the body disappeared into his inventory.

"So I get 50Exp per each basic rank and 150 for each Adept Rank. Sounds yummy~" he didn't care about the small numbers of the academy points.
Paying no more attention to the system's loud notification, Peter appeared in between the remaining nineteen crabs, moving like a light, he danced between them like a dancing dancing celestial being.
Only that for him, he would leave amounts of blood flowing in his wake before a body fell threatening to afloat to the surface of the sea, yet he would appear and put it in his inventory.
He was moving too fast for them to react, but some fast ones landed a hit on him yet his body would regenerate since he was now immune to their poison, their pincers no longer had anything on him.
But it wasn't like he was having it easy either; the attacks of these large beasts were strong, and at times, he would be pushed at the back.
But blinded by his will to slaughter anything that came in his sight to survive the unforgiving pursuit of these beasts.
He braced himself for the relentless attacks from the Swred crab; he moved through them, claiming a life of each in a hit or three, decreasing the numbers of the crabs slowly but surely, if his speed could considered slow, that is!
"Weak!" he said, slashing the third last crab, storing its body away.
[Basic Rank beast are indeed weak. Likely the same level as newly awakened Embers. But that changes from the Expert Rank. So don't get too comfortable!]
Indeed at his current strength, these things were weak not to mention his speed that could be compared to that of a Master rank awakened.
They were as slow as snails, his speed contributed to his easy victory over the crabs.

"How much have I gained from that fight, Elena?" swimming so fast to search for more prey to hunt, he asked.
Filled with the thrill and enchanting feel of killing, Peter easily forfeited the idea of finding land fast, farming beasts felt better, and maybe he might find an island to rest.
That was better than aimless swimming in the guise of finding land, if not best. They were more or less the same, and it wasn't like he would stumble onto an Expert, r..., oh No!!
What could he say, he had a habit of pushing his arse in problems he won't be able to solve easily.
But wasn't that the beauty of life-threatening thrills?
