Faced with such a catastrophic situation, the world leaders and the whole population as a whole did not know what to do.
Some believers fell on their knees to pray to whoever they were worshiping at that time for help, but they all had less hope of that happening.
They just wanted someone to carry their burden, someone to blame for their fellows and loved ones' deaths. Their foe this time was something they could defeat no matter what they did.
No weapon could leave even a scratch on the tough skins of the 'monsters' exiting the thousands of towers, claiming the lives of every living being on Earth they laid their ferocious eyes on.
There were so many, large and strong, and some few of them, the unique ones could use super abilities, making the situation much worse.
But at last, the heavens smiled at the sinful world and not once!
Out of nowhere emerged a unique group; they were not only strong and had superpowers but they were also of different races.
That was the first time modern civilization first greeted the unique legendary races that they only watched in fantasy movies and came to read them in novels and books. The myths were after all, all true!
What they had considered mythical races, turned out to be true actually!

"...much information might disturb your concentration so we should stop there with filling information. The essence at the moment is, that after the war that lasted for more than twenty years, the Ancient Races led by the Ancient Families and new empires's leaders came together and reached a certain conclusion..." At this moment Peter and Sylvie were sitting in a car back seat, heading to the Academy with Sylvie filling him with as much information as she could.
She refused to take her usual car as she was still angry at her family. She didn't want to use anything of theirs at the moment, so they hailed a taxi instead.
Peter on the other hand, knew some important pieces since he also attended the school when he was still little, but after failing to awaken, he didn't proceed to the academy.
Anyway, with people awakening their abilities at the age of thirteen and the lucky—or the unlucky few— awakening new races, the world needed a place to nature these young ones, teaching them the proper way to use their abilities to the fullest and preparing them for regal cruel reality—the Towers.
The academy was formed and came to be known as the...
Chaos Academy! A joint alliance of all races, empires and the most powerful families/clans.
The name was to remind the youths how chaotic their world had become and had to work harder, as they might be the leaders of tomorrow to eliminate the threat of their world.
Now the Ancient Families did not see any reason to go back into hiding as almost "everyone" possessed powers, so they decided to settle in once again.
Their kids would also constantly join the Academy, and with their vast experiences as natural born, they would help guide the naive kids who had just awakened.
"And here I am having to teach everything myself, luckily I have Elena!" He mused to himself.
But how could the mighty 'royals' attend the same academy with nobodies? So the academy was divided into two groups, by these so-called royals!
Although the academy was the same and on papers, everyone had equal rights, the privileges were different as one would expect.

"People from the lower ground, don't know how serious and hectic things are in the "Royal" ground, but fret not, you gonna get full details once you join in the Royal group too. I will warn you, though, that bullying and other wickedness-related activities are intensified this way; you will be dealing with monsters—royals, talented and Ancient Family descendants.
"I might not be of so much use in such situations, so you'll try to rely on yourself." She did not know how much he was looking forward to meeting those arrogant fellows.
The one who spearheaded his death was a prince, at least according to the way Louis threatened Alec; if he heard it right, he just didn't know exactly which prince it was and 'honor' did he have to attract the attention of the said prince?
Peter at that time was but a delivery boy at his job.
He rarely delivered things to the academy so he doubted he had done anything to attract a royal on one of his past jobs. Although those kinds would always bully him as a weak delivery boy, he had never faced a big fish.
But not in his wildest dreams did Peter think of forgiving the one who attempted to kill him on that fateful day.

With her status, it was as easy as coughing for Sylvie to have him registered in the Royal group—she had already done this beforehand—That, coupled with VVIP medical treatment she had provided for him, was the reason why her family found out about her helping a "certain" man, that soon.
In the Principal's office...
"So you only got one name? Sorry if I am being rude, Mr. Peter, but, Are you by any chance a commoner?"
"I..." Peter attempted to answer truthfully, but Sylvia touched him on the shoulders, stopping him with a gentle squeeze; with a smile, she turned to the woman with a different look on his face.
One could easily discern that her look was that of a superiority as if she was looking at someone, several ranks below her.
Her demeanor was also different from the usual one Peter was used to, the pride of a dragon was on full display.
"Principal Sonya, I don't know who gave you the right to start questioning my boyfriend, is it in your duties to inquire one's status too who had been recommended by a "Descendant"?" Not only Principal Sonya but even Peter himself was bewildered by her words.
He looked at her intently, questioning when they had such a status, his eyes wide, mouth agape.
Only after Elana's words—only he could hear—did Peter understand and behave naturally as if what Sylvie said was true.
He went as far as holding her hand in his, feeling the coldness on her hand, she—Sylvie, took her eyes off Sonya to look at him.
It turned out her vampire was the one holding her hand with intimacy; she gave him a warm smile, which he returned with his own.
Sylvie flushed!
It was hard to keep her composure at this moment, she was being intimate with a man in someone else's presence.
It was both their first time too!
"Ahem... Miss Sylvie, I was just making sure of his background, I won't pry more but don't ever act like that in my presence, you might be a Descendant of the Delphyne Family, but this academy is as strong as your family and as the principal, I hold more or equal the status as your father here.
"In my jurisdictions, I can exercise my role as I see fit; as a sign of respect, I will let this slip, I hope you keep in mind whose jurisdictions are these!" Sonya declared, just like Sylvie she had that pride aura and confidence as if nothing could shake her off the ground!
Sylvie's expression changed in a fraction of a second, and acting immediately Peter squeezed her hand to stop her.
He didn't want unnecessary drama to unfold here right now.
"We understand Principal Sonya..." he said with a warm smile.
"Good now a few more questions before we proceed to the final process: what race did you awaken,, and what is your ability?"
The time had come!
