But actually, Peter was just being paranoid, as Elena said, when he looked at Sonya, he saw a smile on her face, nothing like worry whatsoever.
[I know how humans work; even though their races have been changed somehow, their main mentality was not; they just think like they usually did before becoming what they are right now.
[Take Sonya for example, just because she was at a crossroads with Sylvie who is your benefactor, only paid attention to 'less human' then, the curse and that's it, that was enough to relieve the anger she felt before, just 'cause you're trash and you're related Sylvie,] Elena explained with contempt, she maybe had a hidden dislike to humans? Peter didn't know.
What she said was true, though; Sonya did not pay much attention to the description after concluding that Peter was nothing but trash.
She couldn't wait to see him having a hard time in the Academy.
Another reason was the fact that all races were one now, and there was no one race enslaving the other. So even if he was a "Less Human," she didn't care, and another thing was those things happened in the "Higher Realms," as the description said—not on Earth.
On earth, Peter, a "less human," was as safe as the others.
"Is it me or it's true this woman hates you so much," Peter whispered in Sylvie's ear.
She giggled, covering her mouth. Did he know how powerful Sonya was? She heard what he said.
"Yeah, she does, and I don't know why a mature woman in their thirties would hate a teen for small issues. Be careful, Pete; people are petty!" She pretended to be whispering back, but her voice was loud, more than his, so Sonya didn't have to try to hear what Sylvie had just said.
The way Sylvie had talked to Sonya, the way she did in the first place when they just arrived, their grudge turned out to be stemming from years back.
Either the Delphyne Family and the academy weren't standing on the same grounds or something between Sonya and Sylvie herself; Peter didn't have any way of knowing this.
Sonya's face contorted in displeasure; she wanted to say something, but her rational self stopped her; she, too, wondered why she had to be so petty to Sylvie and her siblings since they had joined the academy which led to their current situation. They were just kids at the end of the day.
What does she even know? She will keep her grudge on that man, not the young girl and the rest of the Delphyne siblings.
She brushed her soft black hair to the side, exposing her slender white neck; before she looked back at them, they looked at her, too, waiting to see what she was going to say next.
Most Peter, who was so nervous now, but he couldn't peel his eyes off her neck, his eyes dogging a hole through her skin, gazing directly at her veins, stream of blood flowing in them were exposed bare.
Gulp!
Hearing the loud gulp the two women looked at Peter with different expressions. Sonya inwardly complemented his confidence—the "little pervert" was not trying to hide his perv stares.
He was handsome, so handsome and charming to an imaginable degree that Sonya at times found herself wishing he was her relative or son maybe rather than a stranger.
Not only his face but also his body was good, only lacked more strength and age to fit her class. But that does not give him a guarantee to be an open pervert!
She had no idea...
Contrary to her, Sylvie's face turned into worry; he was just hungry, and she could feel it; she could see him gripping his thighs under the table so hard.
[Your hunger is rising
[You will lose your succumb to your hunger in five minutes... 00:04:57]
He didn't even read the system message. All his mind was stuck on the long, slender neck; he was gulping hard at the pulsating blood.
"Principal Sonya, what are we left with?" Sylvie thought their only option was to get out of there and head somewhere she could feed him.
"Oh, that wait for a few minutes to record him in the system after we give you guys his ID card; Oi, speaking of ID Card, why don't you have one, Sylvie?" Sonya asked with a judging look.
She had dropped the honorifics and was addressing her with her name directly. Right now, she was a student, not a young miss of a powerful family, and Sonya was the principal.
There was a law every student of the academy had to have a watch around their neck, and only the Academy could permit removing them.
So how does it come that Sylvie didn't have one around her neck? Not only that but she didn't have her uniform on, either.
"I didn't want it and refused it and the staff complied!" Sylvie replied with arrogance.
This is not supposed to happen! The thought ran through Sonya's mind: no matter the status, all awakened kids in the academy had to have an ID Cards, yet she didn't have one.
Some royals tend to threaten the staff and have their IDs illegally removed, Sylvie might have done the same.
But actually, Sylvie didn't threaten anyone. The staff, knowing that she was from one of "those," just let her be, not like she would be first and not the last.
Although on paper, the staff were above the students, royals, and nobles students always had a way of blackmailing the former for their wishes.
"Oh, I see..." She dialed her office phone it connected immediately.
"Student Sylvie did not get her wearable ID Card, have with toso when you're coming!" she disconnected after, "you're right those 'lowly' staff can't put that watch on you, we're sorry for not arranging you someone "worthy", I am gonna do it as a compensation," she said sarcastically.
"You didn't have to say it that way, though," Sylvie replied; it's not like she was going to refuse, and she never treated the academy staff as "lowly," the way Sonya put it. She wasn't like others.
"Grh!" a low groan was heard from Peter who had his head lowered facing the floor.
Hunger was onto him; every passing second felt like an hour, and every fiber of him was urging him to pounce at any of the two to satiate his hunger, but he could hold on for some time.
His groans attracted the women's eyes to him; Sylvie had an idea of what was going on, and that's why she had tried to distract Sonya's attention from him.
The woman was now staring at Peter, intensely curious about what was happening to him; Sonya was sure something was not adding up quite well here.
She wanted to know what was wrong with the "pervert", had her beauty sparked something off in him? But that was impossible given that Sylvie was more beautiful than her.
"Then again, I am a beauty too, and more mature than her; maybe he's into mature women like me; what do they call us, MILFs? Yeah—that has to be it." Now one would question who was a pervert here, him or her.
Given her train of thought, she appeared to be more perverse than him.
"What's wrong with him?" Sonya eventually, asked.
"It's about his race; let me explain to you Principal Sonya: the truth is his race..."
