"Reinforcements?" Marcus muttered weakly, "Maxwell doesn't give up easily, does he."
Marina stood behind Aiden, "How many of them ?"
"Enough of them," The monitors displayed several black SUVs speeding toward the mansion's gates, accompanied by heavily armed mercenaries.
Marcus groaned from the bench, his hand pressed against his bleeding side. "I don't think he is still after the drive anymore."
Aiden turned to Marcus, "Stay here and rest. Marina, you stay too. I will be back."
"No," Marina replied, almost sobbing, "We are in this together, Aiden. I hate it each time you try to put your life on the line for others. For goodness sake, you can't do it alone."
Aiden soften momentarily, "You've done enough, Marina. I won't risk losing you."
"I'm not asking for your fucking permission, soldier," she shot back.
