Anna sat at the grand dining table, a plate of carefully prepared dishes before her. She twirled her fork idly, taking small bites of the food. Her eyes wandered around the empty dining room, the silence pressing heavily on her. She sighed, her shoulders slumping.
The maids moved about quietly, occasionally casting her sympathetic glances. Anna finally broke the silence, her voice soft but curious.
"Does Alexander eat lunch at work?" she asked, pushing her plate slightly aside.
The head maid, an older woman with a kind face, hesitated before replying, "Mr. Voss usually keeps to himself, Miss Anna. He rarely eats properly, especially during the day. But since you've been here, he's been joining you for meals."
Anna blinked, surprised. "Really?"
The maid nodded with a small smile. "Yes, Miss. It's quite unusual for him. He's always been... distant, but you've brought some changes."
