She returns back from work and lays on the bed, she sighs a sigh of relief, stairs on the ceiling for a while and closes her hair, she begins to replay how life had been hard on her and her family.
Susan is from a family of five, she's the first daughter of a single mother, with two younger female siblings and a older brother.
She lost her dad to a ghastly accident at the age of seven, that very incident marked the beginning of hardship in her life. Susan had to mature fast to support her widow mother, life took a toil on them, as her mother struggled alone to make a living for her children.
Susan's mother was able to send all of her children to school down to the university, even though it was very difficult for her. Words couldn't explain the hardship they went through together as a family. Susan had to be the second mother to her younger ones , she took on the responsibility of driving her family out of poverty.
Her older brother got a scholarship to study abroad and had to leave his family, Susan had to make lots of sacrifices for her older brother as well, life was really hard on her .
Getting a job at JAH had been one of the best thing that had happened to her, but she has so many responsibilities, she has to take care of her family bills, are younger siblings schooling, feeding and her mom as well, as she's old now and can't do much for her family any more. She also sends money to her older brother as well, even her salary which should be more than enough for her can't cover all her expenses.
She opens her eyes and smiles, she then sits up, closes her eyes and whispers a prayer of thanksgiving.
Susan's mum is a Christian and she had always told her children to be grateful at all times and that they should always trust in Him. I guess that's what always kept Susan moving whenever she was weak or down. she opens her eyes and scrolls through her phone, she calls someone.
The phone rings
"Hello ray"
"Hello Suzy"
"I guess you've forgotten about me"
"No babe, I was just busy"
"Busy?"
Susan smirks
"Yes babe"
"Are you that busy that you couldn't reply my texts?"
" You sent a text?, I didn't see it babe"
" NVM, so how was work today?"
"Stressful babe"
"Ooh sorry babe"
" WBU?"
"Busy as usual "
" Babe I'll call you back tomorrow, I have to do something urgently, good night my love "
"Again?, common babe "
"It's related to work and I have to get it done this night, try to understand me, okay?"
"Okay, don't overwork yourself, good night, sweet dreams, love you "

Ray and Susan have been dating for 3 years nw, Susan has always been the active partner in the relationship, it felt like she was dating herself. Susan tries her best not to upset ray or make him angry, she tries to please him all the time, but doesn't care about her nor appreciate her.
